obviosly its NOT a no go for shidduchim because most ppl get drunk on purim yet marrige still happens and i dont think it seems to affect the shiddduch parshah.

justbecause- as i said before and writersoul pointed out , the more you know the better ! it doesent mean that all ppl who learn cpr/aed and first aid ( i happen to also be a lifeguard) dont know what they are doing! you are grouping everyone together that we all that are trained in cpr/aed first aid lifeguard etc. all dont know what we are doing ! you are definetly right some are certified and have no clue but you have no right to generalize and say
“although some ppl who are trained in CPR/First Aid actually know what they’re doing, most don’t.”
its not true lots of ppl do !

health- you dont but as an emt and / or a hatzalah member you have more knowledge ,supplies,and resources at your fingertips and more equipped to deal with situations that come up quickly and easily compared to just knowing cpr and first aid . although if your not going to become an emt its definetly beneficail to know cpr/aed and first aid !

iceandfire-in most cases i would agree with you but did it ever occur to you some ppl want to do chesed !? and married or not married excitement is by both doesent make a diff !

from what i hear regarding resume`s any type of chesed is welcome so whether you are male or female volunteering for ezras nashim(womens hatzalah) or for regular mens hatzalah i would think it would be a definite plus and can only help you !

i agree everyone deserves that privelege just bringing out another aspect of the problem.brainwashing in that sense yes not in the extereme sense though !

i think a part of the problem is the brainwashing semineries do to the girls telling them they must marry a learning guy ! thats ludacris !! every single guy and girl are differant and have diff needs ! not all girls need learning guys !
