Looked around – there’s a good article covering it from the MK in Montreal, really explains the whole story and the basic halachos how to deal with the wine for buying, using, throwing out etc…
It’s on the MK website, (mk [then] .ca [then] /IsraelWines) maybe the mods can post it here litoeles ho’rabbim
http://www.mk.ca/IsraelWinesIsometimesAgreeParticipanti take that back. found it!

IsometimesAgreeParticipant@IsometimesAgree. Explain urself please
ummmm….the way i see it squeak posted the winning numbers way before they were drawn. im posting this at 2:17 am and there are posts halfway down the first page saying “six hrs ago”, his all the way on top says “1 day ago”. this leads me to believe that squeak’s post was on friday. am i missing the joke somehow?
IsometimesAgreeParticipantand its not like he couldve just copied the numbers off his ticket because the ticket prints the numbers in ascending order! someone help me here!?!?!?
IsometimesAgreeParticipantsqueak: The winning numbers are
32 16 19 57 34 and PB 13
POSTED 1 DAY AGO #
http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/powerball#post-595639
am i the only one seeing something crazy here? or just terribly naive?
IsometimesAgreeParticipanthey rocky, as (unofficial) king of the fjj letters to the editor section, you usualy pen a letter about a subject that lasts for a while. so now that i see its starting again, i was wondering why you never weighed in on the hospice care issue that was being dissected in your pages
IsometimesAgreeParticipantjust look into the basic story line!
in the story(from what i gather from the trailer- don’t worry i didn’t watch it!) this lester kid convinces vashti to go the party so she doesn’t get killed so there’s no esther as a queen to save the jews when haman comes to power.
?i?d?i?o?t?s?!?
not very smart people!
if vashti doesnt die then esther doesnt become queen right?
well, as its famously explained, when esther became queen, achashvarosh wanted to show her how special she was to him, so he wanted to honor her people but she wouldnt tell him which nation or province she was from. soooooo, he did the next best thing (in his eyes) and raised up the person who caused her to become queen, hoping she would appreciate the gesture. who was this person???? HAMAN! since haman convinced achashvarosh to kill vashti, it paved the way for esther to come into his life!
this is why it says ” ??? ????? ???? ??? ???? ???????? ?? ??? ” in perek ?- “after these” particular events of the last two perakim- the death of vashti and the subsequent instillation of esther as queen- these things are what caused achashvarosh to give haman his position.
so basically, if vashti goes to party… she doesnt die
if she doesnt die… esther doesnt become queen
if esther doesnt become queen… haman isnt raised to a more powerful position
if haman isnt rasied to a more powerful positon….HE DOSNT MAKE THE DECREE!!!!
how can they have haman making the decree if his vehicle for power got stalled back in chapter 1 ????????? how does he get to such a high position? he was the lowest of the ministers in the beginning!!!!
maybe someone can explain this -and please dont say “its a made up story” because if you are trying so warp the magillah story… at least let it make sense!!!!
IsometimesAgreeParticipant@ yehudayona, iluvchulent, oomis,writersoul:
i agree that the story about the godol does sound a little far fetched, but we dont know the circumstances. it could be the story was taken out of context, but in any case i think you are focusing on a detail rather than the important point the OP is trying to bring to the public’s attention.
godol story aside, this is a very real and frightening issue that im glad the OP brought up, because, as you can see from the other posts, this wasnt an isolated incident. now i understand this is the common practice with hospice care, both in home and in facilities. as inamom and syag said, the whole point of hospice is to end the patients days in peace, and if you can do that quicker by withholding water and nutrients, thats what they’ll do.
i would hate to see this issue be brushed aside in peoples minds because of an anecdote that is just that- an anecdote.
perhaps there is some asken out there who will see this and is bothered by it, and will hopefully do something about it to avoid any more premature deaths in our community.
IsometimesAgreeParticipant@golfer +1
lesschumras, you sound skeptical that a person would let their relative be drugged up and not get IV. well, let me tell you, when i read this post it struck a cord in me because i know someone that this happened to.
my friends grandmother had a hospice nurse come to her home for a non life threatening infection thinking everything would be great. he didnt live nearby so he visited her on the first day and everything was fine. unfortunately the family didnt know to be watchful and keep an eye on the medication. when he next had a chance to visit her 3 weeks later he was horrified to see her a frail skeleton. he noticed there wasnt any IV keeping her hydrated. he pointed this out to his family and they realized that she actually hadnt been awake enough to eat or drink anything for a few days! they called the hospice care to demand an IV they said they would try to bring it in a couple of days. horrified by this, the family said they would call Hatzolah and then suddenly the hospice IV was able to start that night. my friend mentioned to me however, that the next morning when they had a Hatzolah member look at her, he commented that he was astonished at how low the IV drip was. she passed away later that day.
so leeschumras, yes that is the way it is done, and if the family isnt informed enough to object, well tragic stories like these are the results.
Thank you to the OP for raising this important issue. its about time that someone is speaking out about this travesty.
IsometimesAgreeParticipanti would think the two reasons for bumping a 5 year old thread would be to say something funny or insightful on the matter. this (in conformance with many of your others) was neither, so why bother?
IsometimesAgreeParticipanti dont get it. this was “gensa”‘s first post. why was it automatically assumed that hes “joseph”?

how does the yeshiva world allow ads for political candidates who legislatively violate Torah values? What do we stand for??

I dont think DaasYochid was being condescending. he was just pointing out that the op had asked for a “heimish” school.
I think we would all agree that while Yeshiva of Flatbush may be a great school for the people it caters to, “heimish” it definitely isn’t.
December 13, 2011 2:17 am at 2:17 am in reply to: If you've read "NASI Project Responds", have you changed your mind? #848021IsometimesAgreeParticipant“and especially people who are on a “need to know” basis, (to bad the anonymous CR chevra doesn’t make the cut)
AZ:
you do sort of contradict yourself when you say that, dont you??
By answering all the questions posed to you on this forum, you are automatically implying that you believe our opinion counts, and that we are of enough importance to be made aware of all the new NASI “updates” ( YOU are the one restarting the topic, see: http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/if-youve-read-nasi-project-responds-have-you-changed-your-mind/page/6#post-323830 and: http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/if-youve-read-nasi-project-responds-have-you-changed-your-mind/page/6#post-331777 this thread had been lying dormant for 3 weeks before you restarted it!!)
as you can see, YOU are the one who believes us to be worthy of “being in the know”!!!
And secondly, if we are not worthy of “being in the know”, and therefore arent privy to the names of these Roshai Yeshiva that back up this program, how does it help us if they are “well known”???? ( see http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/if-youve-read-nasi-project-responds-have-you-changed-your-mind/page/6#post-331777)
P.S. I do NOT disapprove of NASI!!!! I DO disapprove of the way AZ has handled this situation and his way of answering questions posed to him (and contradicting himself).

Now, probably you will just skip over my question and answer one that you want to, but if you do,you show that you cant really back this whole thing up!
(Hopefully that dig will be enough to get you to finally respond to this numerously asked question but, hey, you never know!)
THE QUESTION: WHO ARE THE “few well known Roshei Yeshiva”????
THIS QUESTION HAS BEEN ASKED MANY TIMES BY VARIOUS POSTERS BUT YOU SOMEHOW ALWAYS SEEM TO MISS IT!!
HOPEFULLY YOU WONT MISS THIS ONE!!”
“AZ: If you are going to say that you dont tell the names of the few well known Roshei Yeshiva” because then they will just look like figureheads, then why do you keep on telling us about them??? after all, they are just figureheads, they dont have any real say in Nasi!!
now, i realize that is not what you are saying but im just trying to show you how you came across to me. If they arent just figureheads( which i sure hope theyre not!!) why cant you tell us some names?? otherwise, how does it help anyone if they are “well known”??
(please answer this directly- see my earlier post as for why)”
AZ: YOU NEVER ANSWERED HIM…WHY NOT??
