ishmanMembereven quiet girls have to make certain sacrifices and act a little more open than they may feel comfortable, on dates, because hopefully they are talking to their potentional spouces and they should try to act as such, ad eventually they will get comfortable, all they have to do is give them selves over a little and with a little cooperation on they boys part things should go smoothly.
ishmanMemberLechora there should be a problem of dina demalchusa dina and you shouldn’t be allowed to give alcohol to minors
however according to american law alcohol is permitted in case of religion so there should be no problem with giving alcohol to minors
espesially minors who are above the yideshe adult age of thirteen
and especially if the drinking is being controled by a rebbi or parent
for example my son goes to his rebbis hous year after year and he gets plastered each year but i know that he is being looked after by other bachurim and his rabbeim. And kenain ehara no harm has yet befallen him
acording to my experiens only dagerous things happen when there is no one watching the minor
ishmanMemberIt is truly disgusting that tennagers should be using a yom Kadosh like purim as an excuse to get Farshikured
ishmanMembermany people i have talked to dont agree with you
according to many their is no yeshiva in eretz yisroel that is fit for a boy for first year unless he needs “work”, therefore no good boy should go to isreal
ishmanMemberthank you everyone
arc- please define “regular yeshivish guy” so i can see if my son is one of them
ishmanMemberwhat i meant by my question is that after talking to many chashuva people i have noticed that many people feel that the yeshivos for first year Beis Medrash in eretz yisroel dont comapare in caliber to yeshivos in chutz La’aretz
ishmanMembera duck walks into a bar and asks for some grapes. the bartender says i have no grapes. this happens again and again. finally the bartender says if you come in one more time i will nail your feet to the floor. the next day the duck walks into the bar and asks “got any nails?” bartender:”no” Duck:”got any grapes?”
ishmanMembera yeshiva bochur walks into a bar. the rabbi in the bar says, WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN A BAR?
ishmanMembera man walks into a bar. OUCH!
ishmanMemberif someone were going to meet the president or the vilna goan and he would go in khakis and a polo then it would be understandible correct for him to daven and learn as such. however most people if they would visit the president or the gadol hador would dress in their finest, and chas vishalom without a jacket and tie! so its a bizoyon how these people which is most of the present population can justify going to shul on shabbos in the afternoon or even during the week without a jacket and at least a button down shirt-WERE TALKING ABOUT THE MELECH MALCHEI HAMLACHIM, KING OF ALL KIGS! im not saying im perfect because even though i wear a jacket and hat i dont wear a tie even though i would put on a tie to meet the president
DA LIFNEI MI ATO OMEID- KNOW WHO YOUR STANDING IN FRONT OF!
ishmanMemberhowever these projects shouldnt interfere with their learning and they have to try not to make a chillul haashem some of the things they do are alittle wacky albeit funny (bays yisrael- lecha). also another problem is these movies might discourage me or fellow parents to send my kids to the school by giving of a false impression of a free for all attitdue
ishmanMemberthese movies are a way for the yeshiva bachurim to use some of their creativity and i think its a very nice project for these kids to work on
