Ok correct me if I wrong but this is really starting to sound more like an outline for a new novel or s/t. Anyone else getting that impression? Honestly, I am definitaly hooked and if this story is true and taking place as we speak…lol well s/ people have more drama in their lives then I do apparentally. This situation is great food for thought and if this shidduch actually works out that would be wonderful but practically speaking-Why are we geting such specific info?..Are you allowed to give it out? Do they know/mind etc..? Just curious I guess and maybe I am nosy for asking this so I apolagize ahead of time if you find my opinion offensive. All I really want to know is- When’s the L’chaim?! Simcha’s e/o!:)
hudMemberok bombmaniac but we discussed all this already and we heard how they both WENT ON A DATE ALREADY. So lets just here an update please..
hudMemberso whatever happened to them..?
hudMemberI agree w/ oomis1105’s reasoning. Go for it.
hudMemberkinda off topic but just curious COKEBOYCOTT..care to explain your name?
Please use the Screen Names thread for such questions
hudMemberThis seems like a joke. Seriously, people won’t try to be clean and hygienic unless their around the opposite gender?? That sounds way too extreme….
October 31, 2009 11:46 pm at 11:46 pm in reply to: What Should we do About so Many Collecters? #664701hudMemberyeah thats y this post was started. it might be a fraud.
hudMemberyeah. ok. It’s just that I am used to texting..
October 30, 2009 12:42 pm at 12:42 pm in reply to: Government Programs for Low Income Families #667269hudMemberhmmm according 2 sammygol, i should really know abt section 8.
hudMemberlol “def” as in definitly
hudMemberMBD’s English Collection is pretty nice.
hudMemberhey yoyo! we talk/type alike. Jus watch out 4evil sammygol or the-not-evil but def school teacher haifagirl or they will put u in place abt ur spelling and grammer uncoordinations!
hudMemberZimbabawe is nice this time of year!
hudMemberdear confused totty, why are you so confused? Hashem at the end places the person in the sem. that is best for him.
hudMember*and bjj is more institutionalized.its a great school(espeshially if u like 2 learn and b challenged) but i dont think its so personal and VERY large.*
rebetzin- that is what i said in my original post.
and abt type, i guess it really all depends who you know that is there.
hudMemberFall is beautiful…I miss the chilly weather and the crunchy autumn leaves. Go put on a jacket and jump into a pile of red and orange leaves 4 me!
Take e/o outside and have a leaf-throwing fight.
Wear mittens instead of gloves.
Get a pair of green, furry earmuffs.
Prepare hot cocoa for afterwards.
Hang out w/ friends and fam.
Enjoy life!
hudMemberi think, while bjj is very frum in its own rite, bnos sara is more a homogenius mixture of very frum yeshivish grls as oppossed 2 bjj where ther is a bit more diversity. and bjj is more institutionalized.its a great school(espeshially if u like 2 learn and b challenged) but i dont think its so personal and VERY large.
hudMemberlol look what happened 2 Joseph and his colored shirt…
hudMemberbut only if their hair is black! we’ve est. that only dark colored pants should be worn. Maybe they can match their socks or cufflinks to their hair??
hudMemberBnos Chava(what I hear abt it)-It’s a pretty academic school as well, with amazing educators. Most of the girls love school as it is intellectual as well as warm. The girls have work but it’s all pretty managable. They do have a lot of reports though that the girls work hours on but i think the girls really appreciate all thay learn and find it very enjoyable and enlightening. The staff is very warm and friendly and the girls quite friendly with each other. It is a big school so althogh e/o is friendly, it can get cliquish. The majority of girls are more the “in-town” crowd but at the same time there is still a mix. I love big schools (Bnos Chava included) because you can always find s/o who your gonna click with. In a smaller school it can be hard to do that (sometimes). The school has a great reputation and has been around for quite a few years. The girls there are all great girls and honestly, a/o that goes there I am proud of.
October 28, 2009 10:14 pm at 10:14 pm in reply to: What Should we do About so Many Collecters? #664670hudMemberCherrybim- I was not advocating handing out 100 dollar bills to random strangers. But if the action was done already, it’s a nice thing to think abt.
Also, imagine leaving a pizza store w/ an extra quarter as change-that kind of money can go to that beggar on the strret corner. You don’t have to write a check.
hudMemberoh so we can color coordinate eyes w/ shirts…i like that idea!
October 28, 2009 10:07 pm at 10:07 pm in reply to: What Should we do About so Many Collecters? #664669hudMemberIts ok Mezonos Maven. I’m starting to get used to the way ppl talk on this site…
October 28, 2009 6:28 pm at 6:28 pm in reply to: What Should we do About so Many Collecters? #664659hudMemberExcept you don’t get schar for the mitzvah if it’s not tzedakah
Maybe not exactly schar but s/t far greater.
I once learnt that it’s the money that is given to frauds that saves you from din. When the Satan approaches God to bring din on you for sinning, an angel (maybe the one created from the Tzedaka you gave) says to God, “Why do you have to look into EVERY sin this person did? Look how he gave money to someone and didn’t bother checking into the matter to see if the man was authentic. If he can do that and not be midakdake on every specific detail, so can You.” And to this Hashem listens.
October 27, 2009 12:04 pm at 12:04 pm in reply to: Where Do You Buy Your Challos For Shabbos?! #686335hudMemberonly 2 ppl mentioned Shreibers?! Their Challa is amaaaazing!!! and if you go for the doughy variety, try Bagel City(if they still make them). When we were kids we devoured them!
October 25, 2009 6:47 pm at 6:47 pm in reply to: (Sarcasm) HaRav HaGaon Rabbi Ehud Barak paskens that Kol Isha is mutar! #663842hudMemberLoL, and when they don’t sing nicely? …Better watch out!
hudMemberIt is on the Kaminetz building…and maybe you should ask the surrounding neighborhoods first(non-Jews and Jews alike!). Some non-Jews really dont appreciate the flatbush one (our neighbors constantly complain) and even some elderly Frum community members have complained to me that the siren is a scary sound and not s/t they exactly look forward to hearing. Having a Shabbos siren is a nice thing to have but be careful when doing s/t to enhance your Yiddishkiet that you don’t create a Chilul HaShem in process!
hudMemberUmmmmm but no. It is not better to give a free movie stub (plus there is no seperate seating in a theater either!)…Public transportation isn’t the greatest thing but do you have a solution? That would be reasonably priced?…I’m all ears!
hudMemberI hope u were joking jphone. We live in a Democratic country. I am not saying it is the correct way, but one should be able to criticize authority if he wants to.
hudMemberI am not sure I understand the question.(sorry…not sure w/ your use of hebrew words..) if s/o doesnt listen 2 music period..should this be ok? is that what u said?
Also, ive heard lots of different versions of what happened to those guys…s/ better then others. My favorite-The guy flipped out now is a rebbe or was it kiruv/at risk teens and A)embarrased he ever made itB)shows it to all his students…
4 all i know its true(the person that told me swore it was…but lol they all do!) but then again-i dont know.
hudMemberhaifa girl-im starting2 agree..i like this idea.
hudMembermayb…
hudMember=mcsquared:def helping! i was nervous c,.i hav the exact same wardrobe as you. Now explain how thats possible…??
hudMemberlike i said…ill let you figure it out
hudMemberFantastic idea! May you only hav hatzlacha in your endevours jphone. I m positive that bussiness will be booming as soon as u open…what would u call/name your bussiness?
hudMembermine is a variation of my name…a nickname mayb? u figure it out!
hudMemberi bet i knw stoner! 😛
hudMemberAnd I gotten confused on what mazca said because it sounded like he/she was saying Yiddish MADE ppl go off…which besides 4 getting another insult, this time about the country I live in and how self-centered Americans are…didn’t make much sense. I do understand that yiddish is not only for regular frum Jews and i was not saying that irreligious people do not speak it( in fact reread my post, I actually said that it is “not only a Jewish-Religious language”. Pay Attention Please!) I actually did not know about that irreligious Yiddish-speaking community in Mexico.
hudMemberon yiddish in general, i would agree w/ pashuta yid. I would not call yiddish a holy language..it has no bibical source for it and other then it being the language of diaspora, it def is not even a Jewish-Religous language. It has been the language used for European Jewry throughout the ages and a language identified most for The Jew (bec of that)and that would prob b the reason ppl hold on it so strongly. It is def a nice language to knw bec of its Jewish roots and worth but def not “Holy”!
hudMember**know of a whole group of people that have a school and only learn yiddish in perfection, have yiddish plays and thinks yiddish is more important than Torah, you who live in New York, do not know how bad the Yiddish impolse have given to other parts of the world as a matter of fact it has taken people away from Torah and Mitzvos**
srry 2 disagree w/ u again masca but wat is that?! u insinuating that the yiddish language has turned ppl off frm the Torah?
please enlighten me..i am very confused!
sammygol-there are quite a lot of frum yeshivot where I am from and i hav yet to hear wat u described. most yeshiva bochurim hav shiurim in yidish and do become fluent frm them. My family backgrnd isnt quite so yeshivish but whomever in my family went to yeshiva DID indeed pick up yiddish and i never heard of a/o laffing at a mistaken word. Generally many rosh yeshio’s or ebbeim either come frm more yeshiva/yeshivish backgrnds or hav BECOME more yeshivish through yeshiva and don normally hav the problem u jus described. Unless their very american and therefore speak in english.
hudMemberk so i am kinda new at this YW thing…but wow u ppl sur hav a lotta time on yr hands..or so it seems..but here2say hi and introduce myself
hudMembersorry haifagirl, the next post
hudMemberall animosity aside mazca, with these we can prob agree. i would think that the rules w/ rebbeim and rabbi’s or rosh yeshiva’s shud prob b a bit strnger then yr average person.
hudMemberonlyemes-can u explain please?
hudMember?? apparentally koma u read in2 thngs a bit much
hudMemberhey koma.how abt a pic?
…and 4 the record i myself wear colored shrts and i think they add a lot of individualism…mayb it depends HOW u wear them
hudMemberthat is true mazal77. and i agree w/ it completely. i felt that until now, this point that u jus said, this conversation was going nowhere bec it jus sndd like ppl venting 4 the wrng reasons…but yes u hav a good point and its def s/t 2 think abt. in fact ur saying pretty much wat bev said….mayb we shud strt s/ sort of project to bring this 2 ppl’s att…i think that ppl r jus not aware as much as they shud b..
hudMemberim a bit confused w/ the mixd dancing bit? connection??
hudMemberlol ill take a shrt ronrsr
hudMemberlesschumras- u nvr knw
