Ok correct me if I wrong but this is really starting to sound more like an outline for a new novel or s/t. Anyone else getting that impression? Honestly, I am definitaly hooked and if this story is true and taking place as we speak…lol well s/ people have more drama in their lives then I do apparentally. This situation is great food for thought and if this shidduch actually works out that would be wonderful but practically speaking-Why are we geting such specific info?..Are you allowed to give it out? Do they know/mind etc..? Just curious I guess and maybe I am nosy for asking this so I apolagize ahead of time if you find my opinion offensive. All I really want to know is- When’s the L’chaim?! Simcha’s e/o!:)

Fall is beautiful…I miss the chilly weather and the crunchy autumn leaves. Go put on a jacket and jump into a pile of red and orange leaves 4 me!

Take e/o outside and have a leaf-throwing fight.

    Wear mittens instead of gloves.

Get a pair of green, furry earmuffs.

    Prepare hot cocoa for afterwards.

Hang out w/ friends and fam.

    Enjoy life!

i think, while bjj is very frum in its own rite, bnos sara is more a homogenius mixture of very frum yeshivish grls as oppossed 2 bjj where ther is a bit more diversity. and bjj is more institutionalized.its a great school(espeshially if u like 2 learn and b challenged) but i dont think its so personal and VERY large.

Bnos Chava(what I hear abt it)-It’s a pretty academic school as well, with amazing educators. Most of the girls love school as it is intellectual as well as warm. The girls have work but it’s all pretty managable. They do have a lot of reports though that the girls work hours on but i think the girls really appreciate all thay learn and find it very enjoyable and enlightening. The staff is very warm and friendly and the girls quite friendly with each other. It is a big school so althogh e/o is friendly, it can get cliquish. The majority of girls are more the “in-town” crowd but at the same time there is still a mix. I love big schools (Bnos Chava included) because you can always find s/o who your gonna click with. In a smaller school it can be hard to do that (sometimes). The school has a great reputation and has been around for quite a few years. The girls there are all great girls and honestly, a/o that goes there I am proud of.

Cherrybim- I was not advocating handing out 100 dollar bills to random strangers. But if the action was done already, it’s a nice thing to think abt.

Also, imagine leaving a pizza store w/ an extra quarter as change-that kind of money can go to that beggar on the strret corner. You don’t have to write a check.

Except you don’t get schar for the mitzvah if it’s not tzedakah

Maybe not exactly schar but s/t far greater.

I once learnt that it’s the money that is given to frauds that saves you from din. When the Satan approaches God to bring din on you for sinning, an angel (maybe the one created from the Tzedaka you gave) says to God, “Why do you have to look into EVERY sin this person did? Look how he gave money to someone and didn’t bother checking into the matter to see if the man was authentic. If he can do that and not be midakdake on every specific detail, so can You.” And to this Hashem listens.

It is on the Kaminetz building…and maybe you should ask the surrounding neighborhoods first(non-Jews and Jews alike!). Some non-Jews really dont appreciate the flatbush one (our neighbors constantly complain) and even some elderly Frum community members have complained to me that the siren is a scary sound and not s/t they exactly look forward to hearing. Having a Shabbos siren is a nice thing to have but be careful when doing s/t to enhance your Yiddishkiet that you don’t create a Chilul HaShem in process!

And I gotten confused on what mazca said because it sounded like he/she was saying Yiddish MADE ppl go off…which besides 4 getting another insult, this time about the country I live in and how self-centered Americans are…didn’t make much sense. I do understand that yiddish is not only for regular frum Jews and i was not saying that irreligious people do not speak it( in fact reread my post, I actually said that it is “not only a Jewish-Religious language”. Pay Attention Please!) I actually did not know about that irreligious Yiddish-speaking community in Mexico.

on yiddish in general, i would agree w/ pashuta yid. I would not call yiddish a holy language..it has no bibical source for it and other then it being the language of diaspora, it def is not even a Jewish-Religous language. It has been the language used for European Jewry throughout the ages and a language identified most for The Jew (bec of that)and that would prob b the reason ppl hold on it so strongly. It is def a nice language to knw bec of its Jewish roots and worth but def not “Holy”!

**know of a whole group of people that have a school and only learn yiddish in perfection, have yiddish plays and thinks yiddish is more important than Torah, you who live in New York, do not know how bad the Yiddish impolse have given to other parts of the world as a matter of fact it has taken people away from Torah and Mitzvos**

srry 2 disagree w/ u again masca but wat is that?! u insinuating that the yiddish language has turned ppl off frm the Torah?

please enlighten me..i am very confused!

sammygol-there are quite a lot of frum yeshivot where I am from and i hav yet to hear wat u described. most yeshiva bochurim hav shiurim in yidish and do become fluent frm them. My family backgrnd isnt quite so yeshivish but whomever in my family went to yeshiva DID indeed pick up yiddish and i never heard of a/o laffing at a mistaken word. Generally many rosh yeshio’s or ebbeim either come frm more yeshiva/yeshivish backgrnds or hav BECOME more yeshivish through yeshiva and don normally hav the problem u jus described. Unless their very american and therefore speak in english.
