CTlawyer -“Yes there are a few shysters out there who try to milk every dollar from clients, but they get slapped down by the Bar overseers after a few complaints.”
The first part I’ll agree with, but not the last part!
The Bar doesn’t oversee anything. Some lawyers do what they want!
Go watch some movies about lawyers & you’ll change your mind.
HealthParticipantCTlawyer -“New Jersey is a nightmare divorce state. A female first cousin of mine went through a 4 year nightmare divorce there”
I actually got divorced pretty quick, it’s the kids I’m fighting about for many years!
HealthParticipantJoe -“According to Halacha, either spouse (among Ashkenazim, and the husband by Sephardim) can unilaterally elect to not get divorced if he/she doesn’t want to get divorced and there is no cause in the case that is recognized by halacha permitting one spouse to unilaterally insist on divorce.”
Since when do people keep Halachah?!?
HealthParticipantCTLAWYER -“Here in CT, state judicial procedures require couples to undergo marriage counseling, either private or through the court, before a divorce trial can proceed.
In my decades of experience, I have found that professional marriage counseling almost always leads to divorce, not saving the marriage.”
It depends what the situation is!
When I got divorced in NJ, they also require counseling. Her lawyer just said that counseling wouldn’t work. I didn’t have a lawyer at that time. I do now, many years later.
The fact is – if one of the couple wants the divorce, even if they are pushed into it, no one can stop it!
I didn’t want to get divorced, but there was no choice!
I went previously to therapy and it worked!
I more agree with Newbee than with CTlawyer!
HealthParticipantUbiq-“S/o who perverts the truth!”
“Nope that’s not me…”
Says who? You?
“Wrong! I actually quoted from UCLA Law Professor:”
“True though you alos quoted a commentator who disagreed”
Yes,I did. If there is any validity to his comments, they would get a professional opinion! Why don’t you call up the news and inform them about your disagreement? After all, you claim to be a lawyer!
“what made them “most creditable” the fact that they said what you wanted to hear”
Because they aren’t anonymous & they have professional titles!
“stop pretending that this is a court of law and you’re defending your client Obama! “
“I’m not. Im pretending this is yet another thread where your dishonesty can clearly be displayed for all to see”
You’re joking! I quoted a law professor that stated that if Obama was born outside the US he would not be eligible to seek the presidency.
I also quoted a You Tube video that brings proofs that the birth certificate presented to e/o was a forgery!
I’m willing to discuss those proofs.
The reason I posted on YWN is to show e/o why you shouldn’t vote Democrat (DemonCrat)!
HealthParticipantubiquitin -“Are you a DemonCrat?!?”
“I’m not sure what that is.”
S/o who perverts the truth!
“I love how you replied to my citing you actual law with Wikipedia.”
Wrong! I actually quoted from UCLA Law Professor:
“A contrary view is promoted by UCLA Law Professor Eugene Volokh, etc”
There are many posts online about his eligibility for president, I picked the ones that are the most creditable!
Quoting some US law means nothing, but it tells me that you’re a Farbissene DemonCrat! Do yourself a favor – stop pretending that this is a court of law and you’re defending your client Obama!
HealthParticipantUbiq -“Look again, my friend.”
Actually stop trying to promote falsehoods! Are you a DemonCrat?!?
From Wikipedia:
“Whether Obama having been born outside the U.S. would have invalidated his U.S. citizenship at birth is debated. Political commentator Andrew Malcolm, of the Los Angeles Times, wrote that Obama would still be eligible for the presidency, regardless of where he was born, because his mother was an American citizen, saying that Obama’s mother “could have been on Mars when wee Barry emerged and he’d still be American.”[63] A contrary view is promoted by UCLA Law Professor Eugene Volokh, who has said that in the hypothetical scenario that Obama was born outside the U.S., he would not be a natural-born citizen, since the then-applicable law would have required Obama’s mother to have been in the U.S. at least “five years after the age of 14″, but Ann Dunham was three months shy of her 19th birthday when Obama was born”
HealthParticipantCA -“I know Cruz isn’t running anymore, however that doesn’t mean he wasn’t able to be president”
IDK if he’s eligible to be president or not. I don’t know his Yeechus.
I did look at the laws and it looks like if Obama was born in Kenya, he’s not eligible!
HealthParticipantCA -“People can say the same for Cruz supporters (which I’m a part of)”
Are you up on the news? Cruz is not running for president.
“Why is Obama any different”
Because there is a problem with the law!
And if a lot of people are involved then it’s a conspiracy!
HealthParticipantUbiq -“You HAVE to be joking. I thought you were kidding when you brought “proof” from a youtube video.
the only thing sillier tthan proving from a youtube video is proving from youtube commentators.”
Unfortunately, your AZ is DemonCrat!
You turned my words to make a joke out of them.
I wrote – in the comments posted there, there is Irrefutable proof that the document posted by the WH is a forgery!
HealthParticipantDY -“There’s a video proving there’s no DemonCrat party?”
IDK if you’re serious or not, but supporting Democrats (DemonCrats) is a big Aveira!
HealthParticipantDY -“Has that been proven?”
The proof is in the video. Pull up the video and view the comments!
HealthParticipantCA -“Stop trying to kick a dead donkey”
You’re missing the point!
No one cares whether Obama will live out his term, it’s about the DemonCrat’s party.
A lot of posters and a lot of Frum Jews, that support DemonCrats, don’t know the meaning of honesty!
HealthParticipantUbiq- “Why arent you interested in the truth?”
I’m not interested how the DemonCrats fooled so many Americans!
Do you want to know the truth? Go to You tube & search Obama birth certificate is a forgery!
Why are there so many “Frum” Jews that vote DemonCrat?!?
HealthParticipantUbiq -“You were tricked.”
Possibly.
Are you Feivel?
HealthParticipantBig deal -“I doubt you’ll ever get this straight, based on your agenda”
Yes, my agenda is pro-vaxx. I got it straight, no matter how many anti-vaxxs there are!
“I never said I’d prove it to you. I said I know this as fact from personal experience.”
You can’t prove it, because science has already proven that vaccines help, no matter what your personal experience was!
“You’re welcome to do the research.”
We in science field have already done the research, years ago!
“I am uninterested in providing details.”
Thank you for not trying to make others to be Anti-vaxxes like you!
HealthParticipantubiquitin -“LoL Health
That video is quite obviously edited (and poorly)”
Because of your post I just listened to the video a few times.
He says clearly -“It’s true – I’m not from the United States – I was born in Kenya!”
Any possible editing can only be during a pause. This wasn’t the case. Listen to the video!
“see here “YouTube video purporting to show Obama admitting he is not a U.S. citizen far from the truth”
I’m not interested how the DemonCrats fooled so many Americans!
HealthParticipantBig deal -“The in between ones usually become unnecessary”
“My statement is not false. I know this from personal experience.”
Let me get this straight – the in-between ones aren’t necessary because of your personal experience; so therefore your statement is not false?!?
HealthParticipantFeivel -“Are you a health professional?!”
I am.
Btw, I like all the exclamation points in your post!
You claim to be a eye doctor, but that was many years ago.
I keep up with medicine!
HealthParticipantAvram in MD -“Google “CDC Catch-up Immunization Schedule” and go to the first search result. For several immunizations (e.g., Hib), fewer boosters are needed if doses occur when the child is older”
Like I a fool, I looked at the site. You obviously misunderstood what they’re saying! The whole reason why you give boosters is because immunity wanes! You just don’t have to start all over again because you still have some immunity left.
Btw, how did you become such a know-it-all?!?
HealthParticipantSam2 -“You found a YouTube video? It must be true!”
I’ve asked you previously – a few times – How old are you?!?
The video is of now President Obama speaking somewhere saying “I wasn’t born in the US”!
Are you a DemonCrat?!?
HealthParticipantCharlie -“Correct, conspiracy theories today have turned out to always be false. Including all the lies about President Obama, who was actually born in Hawaii, not Kenya.”
I always thought that some of the Frumme supported the DemonCrats because of Gelt. That’s why Satmar & BMG are supporting Hillary.
Now I see that it’s also Avodah Zora!
There is a You Tube video that he admits that Joe is right!
I just watched it!
Google – Obama born in Kenya!
HealthParticipantBig deal -“I don’t have to prove anything”
That’s true! But at least admit your post is false: “but if you spread them out enough you miss out on a couple of boosters and gain the same immunity.”
HealthParticipantfeivel -“Health I like you”
Feivel I like you too! When you post all types of people read it – fat ones, skinny ones, smart ones & stupid ones!
When you come here and defend the Anti-vaxx guys, a lot of people go for it. Are you aware that some of the Frumme don’t vaccinate their kids? Now this has become a public health problem amongst Frum Jews!
This is Not the Torah way & I’m sure you don’t want to promote such behavior!
HealthParticipantFeivel -“seems there has been a HUGE increase in childhood allergies”
There is! Do you want to know why? It’s nice that you Anti – vaxx guys can blame it on vaccines. We have a theory about it, but if you want to blame it on vaccines – do a scientific study!
We have a different theory than you!!!
Go back to school if you want to learn about it!!!
HealthParticipantBig deal -“1. Don’t know if this still applies today, but if you spread them out enough you miss out on a couple of boosters and gain the same immunity.”
Oh really? Who told you that – Feivel?
Prove it!
HealthParticipantBig deal -“If medical proffessionals need to be so arrogant about their patient’s need for more spacing or reduction of certain vaccines that is suspect”
The only only arrogant ones are the ones that will never admit it!
HealthParticipantAvram in MD -“And I can also say that the previous doc handled things stupidly”
He handled what he thought was good for the child and what was good for his business!
He obviously doesn’t need your family’s business.
HealthParticipantAvram in MD -“No that’s an unrealistic analogy. I wouldn’t give a bakery my wife’s recipe, but I might sell it to them.”
And what would the Baker do with the recipe?
He’d put it in the suggestion box, aka the garbage!
“Wow, what a mindset. If I tell my doctor that I want to space out vaccinations, I am not overstepping any boundary whatsoever. I’m not telling the doctor what to do, the doctor is telling me what he thinks I should do, and I am responding to him. I am making decisions about my own family. And that is not only my right, it is my obligation.”
That’s your obligation and his obligation is to do what he thinks is right!
If you think you know better about vaccination scheduling, you have the option of going elsewhere!
“How far do you take this deification of medical professionals? If I see a doctor about to make a medical mistake (wrong medication, about to saw off the wrong arm, whatever), do you think I should remain quiet, because I have no right to tell medical professionals what to do?!? Ridiculous.”
Your comparison to medical mistakes is ridiculous! Oh, that’s right you know better about vaccines, then some old – fashioned doctor!
HealthParticipantFeivel -“They are asking them to do, for them. Not for their other patients.”
True and they said No!
“Because physicians, like any other professional, are supposed to, using their expertise, advise and work with their clients.”
True.
“Ultimately fulfilling the clients wishes when possible.”
Very true!
“The patients are not fodder for the physicians practice.”
Also true!
What you obviously don’t understand is the word No!
If you don’t like what your doc is doing, you can go elsewhere!
May 25, 2016 3:59 pm at 3:59 pm in reply to: Why the lack of Tznius on Internet Simcha sites?! #1153662HealthParticipantSam2 -“I was shocked and, like I said, I have no idea what his Cheshbon was.”
I know what he’s thinking – he’s MO!
HealthParticipantAvram in MD -“Better for the vaccinations to be spread out, or even one or two declined, than to demand the parents stick to the schedule and threaten to deny them medical care,”
Would you go into a bakery and tell the Baker – that you have a better recipe than his Challah & they should change to yours’?
I think not!
So how come the Anti -vaxxers think that they have the right to tell medical professionals what to do?!?
If you don’t like what your doctor is doing – go somewhere else!
As a matter of fact, in Lakewood, I heard about a pediatrician that lets you do what you want. He takes vaccinated kids & also Non-vaccinated kids. He moved here from Flatbush.
HealthParticipantAvram in MD -“This leads to a lack of a middle ground and flexibility”
Does anybody live in a perfect world? Why do we have arguments? We have blogs, tv, internet and other ways of getting our opinions across. Most people don’t agree with others.
The problem lies when you are dealing with life & death!
The pro-vaxxers are the most concerned with life!
HealthParticipantFeivel -“Actually now that I forced myself to reread your discussion with health, I see you weren’t disputing that point at all anyway. You just wanted health to explain how removing thimerosal weakened vaccines.
Aha now I see.
Don’t expect an actual answer to that point.
You’re not going to get it.”
You really got to start reading my posts, even if it pains you!
How about starting with my last post to Avram in MD?!?
HealthParticipantfeivel -“One thing is clear from this old thread:
That Moderator-80 guy, he’s some smart cookie!”
Anyone who believes in the Anti-vaxx movement, ain’t too smart!
HealthParticipantAvram in MD -“No you did not. You have to explain how the removal of Thimerosal weakens vaccines. That is the off-the-wall part of your assertion.”
You still don’t get it! I’m not trying to prove that the removal of Thimerosal weakens vaccines. As a matter of fact, Idk even if it does.
I was pointing out how the government caved into the Anti-vaxx movement!
“If the drug companies and government agreed to remove a preservative from vaccines that was concerning people, then good for them!”
Why should they? To please a certain nutty group in our society?!?
HealthParticipantZD -“I didnt read wikipedia about smallpox, I did a report on Edward Jenner in School once.”
You missed my point! I was commenting that E. Jenner wasn’t the first one to work on stopping Smallpox. They had a procedure called Variolaion, where they would take some juice from Smallpox and give it to s/o else to make him immune.
HealthParticipantFeivel -“Next time check out Google before you post, not after.”
“Smallpox was began on its eliminating by the Cowpox Vaccine developed by Edward Jenner and later by vaccines that contained dead smallpox virii to elimate smallpox, the only disease ever eraticated”
The problem with Google and Wikipedia is accuracy!
Funny how someone who posts all the time about Yeshivish people gets his info from the net! (Not you Feivel.)
They started eliminating Smallpox before Jenner came along. They had a process called Variolaion.
HealthParticipantJam -“Medical school does not designate to vaccines the appropriate time it actually deserves. Doctors do not study vaccines in great detail in medical school. It’s a shame.”
I got news for you – they don’t study anything that needs a lot of time, which is most medical subjects!
As it is, they don’t make enough money to practice & you want to increase their schooling?
Are you offering to subsidize medical schooling?
“Unless a doctor took the time to do his/her own research, they are not very knowledgeable on the topic. That is an important fact to bare in mind.”
I’d change your comment a little bit – Unless a medical professional took the time to do his/her own research, they are not very knowledgeable on ANY topic. That is an important fact to bare in mind.
“Not too long ago I personally questioned a pediatrician on one of the routine vaccines. (This is a very experienced pediatrician, practicing for over 20 years, his diagnosis are always on target).
His response was “Did you go to medical school?!?! I sat through all those years of medical school, so why do you think you know better than me!”
“My translation: You don’t have an answer to my question. To avoid answering you are becoming defensive and making me feel uncomfortable challenging/questioning your medical authority. You are also discouraging me from asking questions in the future.”
Your interpretation is correct!
“That was the last time I saw that doctor”
I got news for you – Good luck on finding a better one!
HealthParticipantPBA -“But because the topic is vaccines, the doctors are all visibly upset malachim.”
What you obviously don’t understand – is the concept of the benefits outweighs the risks! Sure there are risks involved in getting vaccines, most probably even deaths. I personally haven’t seen any, but then again I don’t work in peds.
“Malachim they are. The malach hameves.”
They are his Shlichim! As a matter of fact, what I’ve seen is that the more popular you are – the more negligent deaths are caused by you!
HealthParticipantAvram in MD -“Perhaps he was joking?
Mishlei 26:18-19 for such a doctor.”
What? You only believe in Dan L’caf Zecus for e/o else, just not for medical professionals?!?
“To refuse a child medical care because the parents want to delay a vaccine is not only cutting off the nose to spite the face, it is downright bullying. It was not a statement of fact, but a threat intended to shut the parents up and let the doctor do what he wanted to do right then and there”
No it isn’t! E/o has rules in their practice. If s/o doesn’t want to follow them, they can go elsewhere! They’re not refusing medical care to the child.
HealthParticipantAvram in MD -“Yes I do, and my response doesn’t change. Who cares if you made a definitive statement or a probabilistic one? Why would you presume to know what my own experience has been even to state what is likely or unlikely?”
Because your posts are extremely antagonist to medical professionals!
“Sure, but you brought up your many years of experience in the medical field, not your many years of experience as a patient!”
You didn’t even read my original post! I said I’ve been in the medical field for many years. I didn’t say in what capacity.
“And I’m talking about elephants and butterflies. Prove me wrong!!!”
Huh?!? What?!?
“Who cares if doctors give out free burritos in their offices for the benefits of “anti-vaxx” nuts? That wasn’t your point. You asserted that the “government” weakened vaccines due to pressure from anti-vaccine people. I’m asking a direct question on that statement, and deflections in response won’t work”
And I responded to that! Why did the government remove Thymersal from vaccines? To please the anti-vaxx nuts. I wasn’t trying to prove that the government weakened the vaccines. This is common knowledge, whether you know it or Not!
HealthParticipantAvram in MD -“I really think, however, that a large part of what we are dealing with in the recent increase of unvaccinated children is in big part due to a breakdown in doctor patient trust and communication.”
Maybe in your case it’s like that. Most Anti-vaxxers aren’t interested in having an open discussion. S/o posted previously that PCP’s aren’t interested in discussing vaccines, they already made up their minds.
This is even more true with the Anti – vaxxers!
They made up their minds long beforehand!
HealthParticipantFeivel -“(and you are probably well aware that’s not a quick question)”
I’m sorry, but it’s Not a question at all. It’s a statement!
HealthParticipantFNY-“3. The people who purport to act in their own self interest at the expense of the herd.”
Eg. Diphtheria is not common in the US. So they don’t vaccinate.
My problem is – who says what the Anti-vaxx guys are doing is even good for themselves?!?
If the statistics change, all of a sudden, the Anti-vaxx guys aren’t going to change anything they do!
Their selfishness is going to cause harm to themselves!!!
HealthParticipantAvram in MD -“The pediatrician declared, “so which deadly disease do you want your child to die from??”Fear mongering.”
Perhaps he was joking?
“Then the pediatrician stated that my friend’s kid would not be seen by that practice unless they kowtowed to their faster vaccination schedule. Rigidity and bullying.”
Rigidity – I agreed to in my previous post.
This isn’t bullying! He’s being factual, even if the guy didn’t like that!
HealthParticipantAvram in MD -“You probably had one bad experience & then decided to generalize about medical practitioners.
Just laughed again, thanks. Why would you presume to know what my own experience has been? And that I’d have no knowledge of others’ experiences?”
Do you know the definition of”probably”? If not, ask Feivel.
“My experiences are from being in the medical field for many years.
Irrelevant. This is about the patient’s experience, not the provider’s.”
What? Don’t you think that I’ve been on the other side of the fence also?!?
“Yeah? Tell me more about my own experience and knowledge, despite not knowing who I am.”
I wasn’t talking about your personal experience!
“It’s a fact – that the government removed Thymersil [sic] from a lot of vaccines. WHY????
Thimerosal is a preservative containing a form of mercury that prevents bacteria or fungal growth in medicines for injection. Please explain exactly how its removal “weakens” a vaccine, or how its removal increased public avoidance of vaccination?”
You obviously didn’t begin to understand my point!
I was pointing out that the removal was for the benefit of the Anti-vaxx nuts!
HealthParticipantfeivel -“I would say Avrams GENERAL impression of physicians IN GENERAL, as a common and pervasive mindset pretty much accords with my experience. Except that I haven’t found bullying to be that commom…”
“on rather than bullying, rigidity, putdowns, and fear mongering,”
Rigidity – I’ll give you, but putdowns and fear mongering, you’ve found common?!?
HealthParticipantFeivel -“So what do you know about vaccinations?!?
Not much.”
That’s the first truthful thing you posted about vaccinations!
HealthParticipantAvram in MD -“Glad you’ve had good experiences for the most part.”
My experiences are not like yours! You probably had one bad experience & then decided to generalize about medical practitioners.
My experiences are from being in the medical field for many years.
“2. You’re trying to refute anti-vaccine conspiracy theories with… conspiracy theories? Good luck with that.”
For the most part, my posts are based on truth, not theory!
It’s a fact – that the government removed Thymersil from a lot of vaccines. WHY????
