CTlawyer -“Yes there are a few shysters out there who try to milk every dollar from clients, but they get slapped down by the Bar overseers after a few complaints.”

The first part I’ll agree with, but not the last part!

The Bar doesn’t oversee anything. Some lawyers do what they want!

Go watch some movies about lawyers & you’ll change your mind.

Joe -“According to Halacha, either spouse (among Ashkenazim, and the husband by Sephardim) can unilaterally elect to not get divorced if he/she doesn’t want to get divorced and there is no cause in the case that is recognized by halacha permitting one spouse to unilaterally insist on divorce.”

Since when do people keep Halachah?!?

CTLAWYER -“Here in CT, state judicial procedures require couples to undergo marriage counseling, either private or through the court, before a divorce trial can proceed.

In my decades of experience, I have found that professional marriage counseling almost always leads to divorce, not saving the marriage.”

It depends what the situation is!

When I got divorced in NJ, they also require counseling. Her lawyer just said that counseling wouldn’t work. I didn’t have a lawyer at that time. I do now, many years later.

The fact is – if one of the couple wants the divorce, even if they are pushed into it, no one can stop it!

I didn’t want to get divorced, but there was no choice!

I went previously to therapy and it worked!

I more agree with Newbee than with CTlawyer!

    Says who? You?

“Wrong! I actually quoted from UCLA Law Professor:”

Yes,I did. If there is any validity to his comments, they would get a professional opinion! Why don’t you call up the news and inform them about your disagreement? After all, you claim to be a lawyer!

You’re joking! I quoted a law professor that stated that if Obama was born outside the US he would not be eligible to seek the presidency.

I also quoted a You Tube video that brings proofs that the birth certificate presented to e/o was a forgery!

Actually stop trying to promote falsehoods! Are you a DemonCrat?!?

    From Wikipedia:

“Whether Obama having been born outside the U.S. would have invalidated his U.S. citizenship at birth is debated. Political commentator Andrew Malcolm, of the Los Angeles Times, wrote that Obama would still be eligible for the presidency, regardless of where he was born, because his mother was an American citizen, saying that Obama’s mother “could have been on Mars when wee Barry emerged and he’d still be American.”[63] A contrary view is promoted by UCLA Law Professor Eugene Volokh, who has said that in the hypothetical scenario that Obama was born outside the U.S., he would not be a natural-born citizen, since the then-applicable law would have required Obama’s mother to have been in the U.S. at least “five years after the age of 14″, but Ann Dunham was three months shy of her 19th birthday when Obama was born”

My experiences are not like yours! You probably had one bad experience & then decided to generalize about medical practitioners.

My experiences are from being in the medical field for many years.
