They are trying to get them out through the front. So far 4-6 have been rescued.

Anyways, even though they didn’t, they should have started to do it as a back up plan. Right now, the way out through the entrance is optimal, but if conditions change – they need a back-up plan!

I went online to see the options that were suggested. I really don’t have experience with cave rescue. One the probs is too much water. But they are still going to try the entrance route.
This is my solution: The news there claims that to drill from the top is 1km down.
If you look at the diagram, the mountain slopes down – they should try to drill down at that point & then if possible & needed to drill over to the trapped area!Basically – it’s a race against time – before the Monsoon Season!

The Sefer Hachinuch(תקס”ז) takes these gemaras at face value and includes nezikin under the mitzva of לא תשים דמים, although he still says that מעקה is only concerned with lethal hazards(תקלח).
Rav Soloveichik, on the other hand, explains these gemaras according to the other shita, saying that chachamim made a gezeira extending the issur to include nezikin”
