August 25, 2010 7:54 pm at 7:54 pm in reply to: It's Almost September… Does every child have a school? #693773HIEParticipantregarding the fact of children not being accepted to a school cuz their not Yeshivish enough. i am in a yeshiva where the rule was made that in elementary your child is NOT accepted if there is a tv in the house or if the child has access to internet a couple years ago. this yeshiva is bh a flourishing yeshiva in brooklyn. i heard someone say well, wy are they doing this, their making it so yeshivish? so i said, well when a kid has access to tv or internet and then you send him to this school, and they accept everyone, he will have a bad hashpaah on other kids. and yes, i have witnessed it that kids that watch tv after all set and done are less into learning and violent. so when your school doesnt accept your child cuz you have a tv, instead of going somewhere else and saying this place is retarted, get rid of the tv, there is absolutly no reason to have it, there is no normal show today without pritzus and violents.
HIEParticipantwhat’s up everyone, i havent been here in a while
July 30, 2010 12:35 am at 12:35 am in reply to: Lancaster, PA – what to do and where to stay #691954HIEParticipantmy 10 year old brother went to dutchwonderland in Lancaster and liked it a lot!!!!
HIE’s older brother
HIEParticipantI once bought an Ipod from a friend. I asked a big posek if I can keep the music that my friend had on the ipod since I’m not going to buy those CD’s anyways. He didn’t say that it’s assur, but he did say that i shouldn’t keep the music.
(HIE Brother)
HIEParticipanti have yamaha psr-s900, great keyboard, easy use, great sound
HIEParticipantjust in case i’m not on in the morning:
I would like to wish all the members of the coffee room, and moderators a Happy, Healthy, and Enjoyable summer, as i will be leaving tomorrow at 1PM to camp.
-HIE-
HIEParticipantno, that marriage is only assur m’drabanan. mamzer is when one lady has husbands, and many other cases, but rabbeinu gershom made a takanah that a man may marry only one wife but i dont think its a mamzer is he does
HIEParticipantsame here. what keyboard you have?
HIEParticipantoomis1105, which country???? lol
HIEParticipantthere are atleast 7 people that know me in the cr. i know like 10 people. over 2 years you get to know manyyyy people including a moderator which i found a while ago.

HIEParticipantNYC= RUSH RUSH RUSH RUSH RUSH RUSH
HIEParticipanthello99:
first of all, Rav Feinstein has not stated an opinion so please take him of the list of ossrim. and i Heard firsthand that he holds mutar, but that can be disputed
SECONDLY: Add Rav Yisroel Reisman to the matirim list in the US
THIRDLY: Rav Heinemen said that one should not eat it, for the hechsher to be accepted by all, not because he really holds it’s assur
HIEParticipantwe each wanted to know each others name so we identified each other, but no one else knows so what’s the problem
HIEParticipantwhich camp
HIEParticipanti was just in morris a couple weeks ago for a yeshiva shabbos
HIEParticipantOh!
Umm, maybe camp MORRIS?
HIEParticipanti checked in camp yearbook, i believe you did the same to find me out too ya?
btw, when you told me to guess a couple posts before were you telling me to guess what your doing first half or your name
HIEParticipanti already guessed that ur initials are ZG, you said yep, i can say your name publicly but the mods wont let
HIEParticipantKASHA:
CLARIFICATION: i personally know that Rav Heinemen himself holds its mutar, but i cannot prove that but right now i just have to prove that Rav Heinemen DOESN’T hold it’s assur, hence, Rav Heinemen defenitly doesn’t belong on the list of OSRIM.
HIEParticipantmischiefmaker: are you shy?? i don’t care if he knows who i am.
HIEParticipantHello99:
NOTICE, it doesn’t say that Rav Heinemen holds it’s assur it’s just that, he didn’t GIVE a p’sak. so how possibly can you put him on the list of Ossrim?
and BTW i knew exactly where Rabbi Heinemen is from i was just very tired by that post and forgot for a moment
HIEParticipantchizz, what you doin in the summer
HIEParticipantonce again, get ur facts straight,
Rav Heinemen from Chof K or Star K (i forgot which one he’s from) is MATIR it. Dont make up that rabbanim assur it when they are really matir it! and Rav Dovid Feinstein by the way holds it’s mutar just is not making a whole to do about it since Rav Elyashiv Assurs but that DEFINITLY doesn’t fit the criteria to put Rav Dovid on the list of “ASSUR”
Also Rav Yisroel Reisman (the other Rabbi Reisman) is also matir the fish.
So before answering me back please get your facts straight
HIEParticipantSHTEIGING: btw, what you doin first half?
HIEParticipantok so when i see you in camp, (although i have no idea who u are all i know is your name) perhaps by the pool, well talk!
HIEParticipantI meant zg
HIEParticipantare your intials TZ
HIEParticipantit seems like u dont have ur sources straight. Rav Feinstein says yes?? You left out many rabbanim who are matir in the US. One offhand is Rav Roth i can find u many more if youd like
HIEParticipantyes. R—-R YOU GOT IT!!
i was in Chof Tes, next to CAMP CHOF CHES.
What does your name start with
HIEParticipantpops just moderates us so HIE-bro will take a number

June 24, 2010 5:52 pm at 5:52 pm in reply to: How'd You Know What you Wanted To Do With Your life? #756320HIEParticipantGAW: I heard that its not good to have too many tests (tops 4) w/o work experience.I think the reason is b/c after the 4th the exams are more business related. Correct me if I’m wrong. So if you’re in kollel, you don’t wanna take to many exams.
