“whether originate is to be meant as spontaneous generation is a side point”

Daas YOchid: it was clearly proven that minei gavli means to “grow in” and not “created in”.

Hello99, you are 100% wrong, the majority of American poskim hold it’s mutar

I like FLATBUSH due to it’s lovely convieniences and variety of yeshivos. Flatbush is home to great yeshivos and yeshivos that have great limudei kodesh and limudei chol. My Brother lives in lakewood and he is yeshivish so he fits in there. As you mentioned it is hard to get your children into yeshivos if you arent in kollel. Also, there are Very very few yeshivos in lakewood that have a good limudei kodesh AND limudei chol. Also in highschool most yeshivos don’t even have limudei chol and the ones that do aren’t considered top yeshivos.

On the other hand, in flatbush, there are yeshivos with good limudei kodesh and chol. and in the MARINE PARK area of flatbush there are many many young couples moving there because housing is a bit cheaper there.

And Btw, where in manhattan do you live?

“As of yesterday Rav Wosner, and Rav N. Kerelitz have rescinded on their Ossur. After having been explained the life cycle of the anisakis and having read the Teshuva of Rav Falk (Gateshead) they came to the decision that it is MUTAR!”

hello99, little by little more and more poskim are coming to be matir, like rav Karelitz and Rav Vosner. You will see at the end of the deal that almost all poskim whether here or in e”y will say MUTAR. And then we will see that RAv Belsky who said mutar from the beginning Really knows kashrus and science, and is not just being matir on minimal basis.

hello99, can you answer my questions too, cherrybim may have contradicted himself, but i do NOT eat cholov stam (like Rav Belsky) and i DONT hold of the Boro Park (or flatbush) Eruv, like Rav Belsky, because Rav Belsky is a PROMINENT posek in America. On many things Rav Belsky is machmir, yet over here Rav Belsky holds it’s mutar. I beleive Rav belsky really really really went deep into this inyan to make sure it’s mutar before being matir it.

Hello99,” this and this” doesnt mean that he holds it’s assur it just means that rav dovid Feinstein doesn’t know the case and just stated what our halachic seforim state regarding this. On the other hand rav belsky CLEArLY knows what this case is and clearly knows what the Halacha says and clearly brought proofs to be Matir it. Rav belsky is one of or the most prominent posek in kashrus in america and represents the OU which is the biggest kashrus company. I am not ignoring rav elyashiv but rav elyashiv is posek for kashrus in ISRAEL. Most of the American gedolim are matir it

The sharrei gehenim are IN the core of the earth where there is lava over there, so it comes out every once in a while and yes indeed, VOLCANOES are the sharrei gehenim

hello99, you have a misconception, Rav Dovid Feinstein NEVER said it is assur, i know someone personally who addressed the shaila to him and he did not give a p’sak. All he said was if this and this is the case then it’s assur, but dont make up p’sakim from gedolim

wolfish: why are you making laytzunus here? A person should go ask advice from proffessionals and after hearing their advice discuss everything with the rav, and explain to the rav what everyone said and THEN ask his advice. Dont ask him what to do when your toilet is stuffed!

I value goody613’s opinion and i believe he is trying to say what i just said

First of all: i’m not so sure if MOST rabbanim assur it, and by the way, even those who do assur it, don’t KNOW that its assur, their only assuring cause of a sufek, but if Rav Belsky said its mutar, he KNOWS he’s taking a major responsibility and you can count on that p’sak.

I was able to find the following:

[this is the way the matirim understand Rashi, the osrim disagree]

Another reason to be matir according to some is based on a checking process done by certain fish companies right after the fish are caught, which may make the sheratzim into a miut sheaino matzui and would therefore not require checking. This method is used in certain kinds of flounder.

I am in Torah Vodaath where Rav Belsky spoke numerous times about it, and this is just in very short, but there is much depth to it

Rav Belsky IS a leading scientist, IS a leader in KASHRUS, IS a buki in halacha, and carefully reviewed the topic and with many proofs came to a conclusion that it’s mutar

And believe me rav belsky is alot more then expertise, rav belsky knows everythig from kashrus to Halacha to astronomy, rav belsky knows every star in the sky, in kashrus it’s very hard to find someone who is more experienced and knowledgable then rav belsky.
