Now if Popa would just stop drinking….
good.jewMemberWho thinks that this story really happened and who thinks Popa made it up cuz he was bored
good.jewMemberSo what if my husband/wife is a nurse? Then can he/she give me an IV?
good.jewMemberPutting a saline drip into an IV is not practicing medicine – it is just salt water, so I think PBAs idea is fine
good.jewMemberaries2756, sorry, but halacha doesn’t change based on male or female perspective.
good.jewMemberapushatayid: if you disagree with Popa’s pshat in the ralbag, please present us with an alternative
good.jewMemberWhen they clean up the table, do they scrape the plates?
good.jewMemberConsidering the fact the Popa has Smicha, it would seem pretty unlikely that he would make this up.
good.jewMembercheck out http://blog.tfsalliance.org/
good.jewMemberso you think Popa is a teenage girl?
good.jewMemberI also have no idea what BS is talking about….. seems like there is a hidden meaning to his name
good.jewMemberOP – why don’t you ask you rav to figure it out. it is not such a difficult question
good.jewMemberMods – why is Popa blocked? I like to see his pearls of wisdom
good.jewMemberCtr Alt Del, once you are shaving, what does it matter? There is no difference from a halacha perspective
good.jewMemberI also work for a large accounting firm. You certainly should shave, no question about it. You should try not to flaunt your jewishness (obviously don’t hide it)
good.jewMemberPopa, how did you get married/will you get married?
good.jewMemberWell, Popa actually is my Rabbi. I always follows his rulings

It is not so simple that is is not allowed. In any event, people end up seeing through lies, and then you look bad.
April 10, 2011 11:34 pm at 11:34 pm in reply to: How to remain neutral with the boys in college #758812good.jewMemberI work with goyim all day, and I don’t think I ever had to tell anyone that I don’t touch the other gender. I shake hands when I have to, and that is it. I have never had issues…. I just act professionally
good.jewMemberI was once visting Popa on pesach, and what he said is certainly true. Popa’s family is very makpid. It is a minhag from some ancestor.
April 8, 2011 4:55 am at 4:55 am in reply to: How to remain neutral with the boys in college #758763good.jewMemberI agree with Oomis. You need to act like a professional
good.jewMemberMaybe PBA will do everyone’s taxes?
good.jewMemberI always go with PBA, except when he is wrong
good.jewMemberSounds like PBA is a tax professional and he agrees with me
good.jewMemberPBA, whoever makes a formal extension request in writing that is notarized, gets an extension
good.jewMemberI am also a CPA, but I am an auditor, so doing tax returns is not really my parnassa. I don’t charge anyone, but I put everyone on extension and do them in June.
good.jewMemberIs Chayav Inish related to Popa? Maybe Popa’s sister?
good.jewMemberPopa, are you drunk yet?
January 24, 2011 12:33 am at 12:33 am in reply to: Did you go Seminary in Eretz Yisroel? What did you gain from it? #730844good.jewMemberPopa, I like
good.jewMemberso the question is, which is worse? the fact that the teacher did not realize it was a typo or that the teacher thought it was an issue?
good.jewMemberclothing???
good.jewMemberWhy are you only looking for a frum employer?
good.jewMemberYou must have gone to Touro
good.jewMemberTalk to people that took it recently to see which course is best, but you should certainly take a course. The one I took does not exist, but I think the teachers (who were really good) went to Becker.
good.jewMemberFirst of all, take the CPA ASAP, because the longer you work, the harder it will be to find time to study. Second, set aside time every day (even a half hour or an hour) and make sure you study. (I used to wake up early and study in the morning)
December 24, 2010 5:32 pm at 5:32 pm in reply to: NYC DOB: Obtaining a C/O for your new building #721270good.jewMemberYou probably need a little “grease”.
good.jewMemberAt the least, treat him/her like any other human being (unless you are in NY where nobody says hi to anybody)
good.jewMemberalways happy27: this is something you need to decide for yourself. You need to decide what you are looking for. there is not wrong or right.
good.jewMembercshapiro, I think you owe Popa a real apology… and a date… if he/she would ever agree. Totally uncalled for.
good.jewMemberPopa, do you have one?
good.jewMemberMod, please let Popa’s post through. I need a good laugh for the night 🙂
good.jewMemberAinOhdMilvado,
You talk to me as if I am a chainsmoker… but I am not a smoker. I just agree with Popa that we don’t need to be angry at them. Let everyone make his/her own choice (popa and tanta, please don’t start the he/she stuff again)
good.jewMemberPopa I think you would/wouldn’t mind/body if someone/two did/didn’t it to you

November 8, 2010 2:41 am at 2:41 am in reply to: Sick and tired of spoiled cholov yisroel milk #708256good.jewMemberJust switch to Chalav Stam, it lasts in the fridge for weeks
good.jewMemberI think that this is the first time that Popa ever agreed with me!
good.jewMemberI come home after 1AM plenty of times during tax season.
good.jewMembermaybe I am a right wing fanatic?
good.jewMemberPopa,
The ones that get angry are the ones that want to smoke themselves, and are jealous of those that do
good.jewMemberYou also have to keep im mind that when you are one of the few frum people in a large accounting firm, you start off behind everybody. Between shabbos, leaving early on friday, davening learning (maybe even helping your spouse a little) you really have to work hard to keep up with everyone else. I am in that position and it is hard.
