I also work for a large accounting firm. You certainly should shave, no question about it. You should try not to flaunt your jewishness (obviously don’t hide it)

Not to start a whole discussion (which i am sure Popa can locate in CCH), but youmay want to ask a rav about the handshaking. It is not so simple that is is not allowed. In any event, people end up seeing through lies, and then you look bad.
I work with goyim all day, and I don’t think I ever had to tell anyone that I don’t touch the other gender. I shake hands when I have to, and that is it. I have never had issues…. I just act professionally

I am also a CPA, but I am an auditor, so doing tax returns is not really my parnassa. I don’t charge anyone, but I put everyone on extension and do them in June.

Talk to people that took it recently to see which course is best, but you should certainly take a course. The one I took does not exist, but I think the teachers (who were really good) went to Becker.
First of all, take the CPA ASAP, because the longer you work, the harder it will be to find time to study. Second, set aside time every day (even a half hour or an hour) and make sure you study. (I used to wake up early and study in the morning)
You probably need a little “grease”.
At the least, treat him/her like any other human being (unless you are in NY where nobody says hi to anybody)

You talk to me as if I am a chainsmoker… but I am not a smoker. I just agree with Popa that we don’t need to be angry at them. Let everyone make his/her own choice (popa and tanta, please don’t start the he/she stuff again)

The ones that get angry are the ones that want to smoke themselves, and are jealous of those that do
You also have to keep im mind that when you are one of the few frum people in a large accounting firm, you start off behind everybody. Between shabbos, leaving early on friday, davening learning (maybe even helping your spouse a little) you really have to work hard to keep up with everyone else. I am in that position and it is hard.
