GoldilocksParticipantPicturesq – Yes, I do have seforim at home that were written before 1787 (my chumash, for example…) and I’m not suggesting they be rewritten.
However, I also do not use them as a guide to grammar.
Those seforim are important because of their content, but everyone understands that grammar and word choice changes over time.
GoldilocksParticipantWow!
GoldilocksParticipantJewish Thinker, while giving others advice is great, there is a time and a place for everything. You should not be advising others while you and they are both in the middle of shemone esrei.

GoldilocksParticipantDo these posts acutally get reviewed by anyone? When I post something, it appears in the coffee room instantly. I can’t believe anyone is actually looking over my shoulder as I am typing.
GoldilocksParticipantWell said!
How about this one: People are always looking for the city of happiness, but they don’t realize it’s in the state of mind.
December 2, 2014 8:28 pm at 8:28 pm in reply to: Do not assume they don't understand your language. #1045344GoldilocksParticipantIt’s just a matter of treating people decently. Don’t say bad things about others. And don’t speak any language around people who don’t understand it.
