Those things are all bonuses. You seam to be forgetting your worth – what really counts is inside you – not the materialistic superficial things. Just feel good about who you are – not who you’re not.

popa – i don’t mean to be rude, especially to someone who is older than I am, but i just wanted to understand why you won’t even hear the posters’ comments. no matter what the poster says, you argue with them. why can’t you just listen to us?
all i’m trying to say (like others are also trying to say) is why don’t you change your perception and then perhaps others in your shul and other shuls will change their perceptions as well. tell your children and other shul members that it is an honor to get called up for ?????. any kavod is better than none at all. show them by accepting the honor yourself. then people won’t have this perception anymore.

1) do you like to draw? that takes time and when you’re finally done, you have a beautiful masterpiece (maybe)!
2) you could do puzzles and when you’re done, have them put in frames and hang them up!
3) if you have pictures that aren’t in photo album yets, you can make a scrapbook!
4) you could make lanyard key-chains or friendship bracelets for sick children!

the best makeup artist is Ha-Shem and you can’t disagree with that. by wearing makeup you’re basically saying that Ha-Shem didn’t do a good job.
okay, fine. so you could wear makeup just not at such a young age and not so much. people should start wearing makeup – the earliest – in 12th grade. IMHO

i agree with haifagirl 100%! in my school we have the name on our collars and on the pockets at the bottom of the sweaters. B”H my school is very careful about tznius. i really find it inappropriate to have the logo where the uniforms you saw had them.
