my mother in law has told us many times of a story that happened to her. one Shabbos afternoon, she heard a knock at the door. she went to answer it and nobody was there. she happened to look at the time. that night, as soon as Shabbos was over, the phone rang with the news that her stepmother had passed away – AT THE EXACT TIME SHE HEARD THE KNOCK AT THE DOOR.

always runs – i was kind of upset when i saw how many ppl made fun of you. there are many stories of these things happening! i have also at times woken up in the middle of the night thinking someone is there and thinking i feel the bed moving. but i’ve never actually seen anything.

btw – i’m not sure it only happens in homes with non-kosher or no mezuzahs.

i used to think observateen and smile e face were the same person. but i asked smile e face and she said “no” – so i believe her. but now i wonder if zeeskite is smile e face. somehow they remind me of each other. but my daughter says she’s not. oh well. but they’re both 9 yrs. old. so….. i dunno

this thread (especially what pac-man wrote – chicken and water) reminds me of a funny story.

one time, my friend was kind of tired erev Shabbos, so her husband asked “what is so hard about making a chicken soup? if you want, i’ll make it”. of course that was too good to pass up. so he made it. it took all of about 5 minutes. she couldn’t believe it – UNTIL it was time to serve it.

he had not peeled the carrots or cleaned the chicken etc. etc.
