Statistics Statistics Statistics: This many girls will never get married—how could we say such a thing? Where is our bitachon and emunah?
You want to talk statistics? Statistically the Jews shouldn’t be around anymore at all. Look at all the great nations who tried to wipe us out. Guess what? We are still here.
Daven, have emunah and bitachon, do chesed and mitzvos, have yiras shomayim.. and leave the rest up to HaKodosh Baruch Hu.
May all those looking for a shidduch find the right one in the right time.
BTW- I am not just saying this because my daughter just got engaged. I was saying this way before she met her bashert. I still have bli ayin hara two other children to find shidduchim for – in the right time.
Hatzlacha to everyone.
Kesiva V’Chasima Tova!
gefenParticipantSiDi and oomis: Thanks so much for the Mazal Tov!!! Oomis – I see you also get a Mazal Tov!!! Wishing only Simchas for everyone!!!
Midwesterner – so where was HaLeiVi’s shalom zochor? Maybe my husband and son went to the shalom zochor…. but I won’t know until I know who it is 😉
HaLeiVi- do you know us? Anyway – Mazal Tov to you too!!!
gefenParticipantMazal Tov to my amazing daughter Yummy Cupcake!!!!! I love you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DaMoshe – he really is an amazing guy! 🙂
gefenParticipantSyag – I read about that too. So sad and horrible what he went through, and yet he went on to fight for our country! Definitely a hero!
gefenParticipantSam2 – It was a suicide? I guess I missed that part. I thought he was killed by terrorists.
gefenParticipant29- Whether it was terrorism or a malfunction – it’s a terrible tragedy!
oomis – The first thing I said when I heard that his priority is to find out if there were any American citizens on board was – did he care that one of the 3 boys was an American citizen? This guy is so full of it. Poor excuse for a president.
Tell him there were a bunch of Muslims on the plane. Watch him go into mourning.
gefenParticipantSiDi: My sentiments exactly!!! As soon as I read that, I said the same thing you did. What is with this guy? Tell the families of these people that it “may be a tragedy”.
gefenParticipantpostsemgirl!!! How are you? We miss you! At least keep in touch here in the cr.
syag: you didn’t invite me? that would have been a fun sleepover!
gefenParticipantpixelate: Thank you 🙂
And now I will add:
Yummy Cupcake
Syag
gefenParticipantShopping613: No more updates? sniff sniff 🙁
gefenParticipantmidwesterner – I, too am insulted! Harumphhhh! I didn’t see Syag or Yummy cupcake listed either.
Papa must be right – the cool list is posted somewhere else! HA! That’s where we are! 😉

June 15, 2014 5:12 pm at 5:12 pm in reply to: PLEASE JOIN NOW: Online Tehillim for the Captive Youths #1021563gefenParticipantThank you for starting this thread. I was wondering why I didn’t see anything about this situation on the CR yet.
It’s sad that it takes such an event to bring Klas Yisroel together. Just look at all the videos in the news section of YWN. You see Acheinu Kol Bais Yisroel – all davening together. Chassidish, Litvish, Sfardi, MO, not frum.
We should be b’achdus ALWAYS! Let’s listen to Hashem’s messages!
May the 3 boys be sent home safely b’karov!
June 8, 2014 4:37 pm at 4:37 pm in reply to: Abridged/Censored Classic Works for Jewish Schools…? #1019129gefenParticipantOut spot out! Hmm! Just doesn’t sound the same. 😉
June 8, 2014 4:23 pm at 4:23 pm in reply to: Abridged/Censored Classic Works for Jewish Schools…? #1019128gefenParticipantDo they have the right to change these books? Do they use the same titles? Do they write a disclaimer? How does this work?
gefenParticipantcharlie – isn’t every day by a cat “menucha”? they’re always resting – or scratching on the furniture.

gefenParticipantGamanit – I do not use bleach.
mewho- Thanks, I’ll try it.
gefenParticipantmod 42: thanks for the info. but i tried 2nd rinse and also tried smaller load. it was a dark wash so none of the fabrics would have leaked a white color.
so far this is just a mystery.
i’ll let everyone know if i figure out a way to get rid of this problem.
thanks everyone!
gefenParticipantkapusta: thanks for the suggestions. I think I will try a new detergent and maybe less than what they say to use.
And thanks for the welcome back 🙂
gefenParticipantJust decided to do some research. I actually found websites with this info. Here are a couple of paragraphs from 2 diff sites. Admittedly, there are some sites that say there is no correlation.
But I thought it was interesting anyway.
1) Interpretation and Conclusion
gefenParticipantMy husband 14/14. My son 10and half/10
There’s got to be something to this.
gefenParticipantLitlle Froggie: ur a little too expensive 😉 But seriously – nope – no tissues, papers, etc.
rebyidd: nope – no crayons either. And it’s not worn through – these are real stains that appear after washing. And as i said, if i rub well enough it will come off, but it’s such a pain.
squeak: are you serious or joking? if serious, please elaborate.
Syag: good one!
gefenParticipantOoh! This is getting interesting!
gefenParticipantNot bleach. It comes off (most of it) with a lot of rubbing. But still doesn’t look right. It’s so annoying.
gefenParticipantI read the story in the Jewish Press. Quite interesting that he felt connected to the Jews. I found it so interesting that he made comments such as “Tody, I am, with you, a Jew” and a few other things they quoted him saying. Seems like the pintele Yid showing through.
It is, however, very sad and tragic that he didn’t know he was a Jew. He obviously did not have a Jewish burial and is not in a Jewish cemetery – through no fault of his own.
gefenParticipantSmile E. Face – LOL. Ur cute!
Syag- also LOL! Bribery will get you everywhere (maybe). 😉
gefenParticipantJust a “VIEWER” huh? You don’t have a screen name, huh? Yeah, Riiiight! 😉
gefenParticipantBump.
gefenParticipantLittle Froggie – are you sure all ur other screen names were being honest with you? 😉
HaLeiVi- if you’re in Oak Park, I don’t think you have to worry 😉
gefenParticipantSyag and midwesterner: Yup. I guess you do. Someone is watching us! Ahhhhh!
gefenParticipantnot a troller: LOL, but i’m quite sure ur not him. He wouldn’t let on so easily.
gefenParticipantnotasheep: I was also posting on that thread “the cold never bothered me anyway”. They let some posts through, then suddenly they stopped. When I asked why, it took a while, but they finally answered me that they didn’t want to promote secular movies. (like they said here).
It’s funny though. Sometimes they let things through that totally shock me and other times they delete relatively “pareve” things.
Not sure I get it.

gefenParticipantum….uh huh, riiiight.
April 29, 2014 12:48 am at 12:48 am in reply to: The news everyone has been waiting for! Zuberman!'s return #1118237gefenParticipantMazal Tov to you yossi z.!!!!!!!!!!!
Also yummycupcake says a huge Mazal Tov!!! She hasn’t been on here in such a long time that she can’t even sign back in. I guess YWN locked her out 🙁
But she is an “old timer” and is so happy for you!
gefenParticipantlet it go, let it go, and I’ll rise like the break of dawn (in Alaska) let it go let it go, the perfect girl is gone……
gefenParticipantI don’t care what they’re going to say…. The cold never bothered me anyway….
I like summer and suuuun and all things hotttt…..
gefenParticipantDo you want to build a snowman?…..
gefenParticipantLet it go! Let it go!
gefenParticipantSaysMe- You can use the line also 😉 I’ll share 😉
gefenParticipantDaasYochid; Thanks
gefenParticipantI can’t be back to something I never was…… 😉
gefenParticipantOf course Syag is right! My friend is always right.
(psst -Syag – did you find out which thread he’s talking about?)
gefenParticipantTalking in shul during davening is assur. Whether these stories about avoiding/curing cancer are true or not, obviously I don’t know, but I wouldn’t be surprised. What would it hurt to take on something that might/could/will help? We should all be trying to better ourselves.
gefenParticipantMr Sfardi – it’s true. I have a friend who one fine Sunday afternoon called me to tell me she is engaged. I was kinda surprised as we were quite close and I thought I’d know when she was “dating” someone seriously. So I asked “Wow – Mazal Tov – how long have you been going out? When did you meet?” Her response- …..”um, we met last night”.
This was probably about 30 yrs ago. They are B”H still married and have already married off a bunch of kids.
gefenParticipantMy husband is sooooooooooooooo frum that he didn’t even propose. He just took me to 47th St. in Manhattan and we walked into a store where he told me to pick out a setting. Now, isn’t that romantic? BTW, I think this was on our 3rd date. Well – it apparently worked out- our 24th anniversary is this June IY”H.
