charlie – i agree with you about not giving out personal info. but this thread is just about your place in your family. i don’t think that gets too personal. a stranger wouldn’t be able to figure anyone out from that.
i’m an only child and so is my husband. so we deprived out kids of aunts, uncles and first cousins. however, B”H we have a big extended family so my kids do have lots of relatives. we don’t stand on ceremony about 1st, 2nd, 3rd cousins – once removed, or ten times removed. we’re all family and really close.

my husband started saying it every day when my mother in law was very sick in the hospital last year. the doctors had no hope. she is now B”H fine. he still says it every day.

bein – i’ve gotta say – i do agree with your suggestion.
goq – i don’t think it’s a childish idea. i think ur trying too hard to get her attention and get on her good side. to me, that seems more childish. it’s time to stop and just enjoy everyone else around you. ignore her like she ignores you – plain and simple.

There are times when my daughters will try something on and say it’s too fitted – not tznius, and I won’t see it that way. I guess each person is different and you have to feel comfortable with the way you look. If you feel you’re not tznius, then it will bother you the whole time.
Toi – read it again – it says “my brother and I quickly ran out to the alley and searched through the garbage bags” Obviously they both went out to look for it, just he’s the one who found it.
