Metsch,
Would you say that its the Dr’ s fault that we are late? Why should we come on time ifvlast time he overbooked, saw two emergency patients and ran an hour late?funnyboneParticipantWhy can’t I expect all three, is it too hard for a Dr. to give some service and accommodate patients without having them wait an hour?
funnyboneParticipantI would be happy to pay for phone calls. Instead, lately, i jave been told by a dr to make an appointment to discuss results of a test! I did and he told me it was negative, do you have any questions?
funnyboneParticipantGH: if we all complain and make a fuss, maybe they will realize that they need to put emergency time into their schedule!
January 22, 2018 11:00 am at 11:00 am in reply to: How to deal with Disrespectful sons-in-law – “Bnei Torah” #1454393funnyboneParticipantWhat do you mean when you say DEMANDS list of other things? You sound so angry I am not sure if the kids feel it and therefore do not respect you!
January 22, 2018 10:59 am at 10:59 am in reply to: How to deal with Disrespectful sons-in-law – “Bnei Torah” #1454391funnyboneParticipantYerushalmit: a guest should accomodate the host’s schedule. I would tell that politely to the kids. They might decide to come less often as he might feel davening in his shul/going to his shiurim is important to him too.
January 22, 2018 10:59 am at 10:59 am in reply to: How to deal with Disrespectful sons-in-law – “Bnei Torah” #1454387funnyboneParticipantWhats up with the anti-bnei torah? If you have a question about dealing w your sil lets discuss it. But cut out your negative feelings of bnei torah.
funnyboneParticipantIf everything makes noise, except the horn.

Hebrew has more in depth notes.December 11, 2017 11:04 pm at 11:04 pm in reply to: Is it acceptable to go for a walk on the 1st date? #1424655funnyboneParticipantShalom Bayis is what works for both of you. Personally, it doesn’t work. Shoes might be uncomfortable for walking, she might prefer to just sit and relax after a days work. I might ask at end if the date if she woukd like to take a short walk, and make it clear that its an offer.
funnyboneParticipantIs that fake news?
December 3, 2017 11:20 pm at 11:20 pm in reply to: He’s Hot, She’s Cold; Windows Open or Closed? #1417551funnyboneParticipantWhy should we mix in to other peoples shalom bayis?! Let the coupke work out their issues on their own!
funnyboneParticipantI find it shocking that the CR has been hijacked by peoole who just want to speak. Someone wants to know our orederence for a sheva brachos and you are on your condescending high horse giving medical/diet advice??!!
November 30, 2017 11:06 am at 11:06 am in reply to: Poskim Answering Pikuach Nefesh Shailos #1415985funnyboneParticipantI have discussed those questions w my LOR. At times hhe has told me that he will discuss it with another rabbi and will get back to me.

November 27, 2017 1:50 pm at 1:50 pm in reply to: Machlokes over Eruv versus Machlokes over sports #1412740funnyboneParticipantHow about a machlokes over pickles on marshmallows?
A machlokes about an Eruv is a serious machlokes. In Boro Park, there are some people who feel that you are being mechalel Shabbos!!
A machlokes about sports is unimportant and I assume, that most people don’t have strong feelings toward people that agree with them.November 26, 2017 10:16 pm at 10:16 pm in reply to: Why pickles are better than marshmallows #1412138funnyboneParticipantWhy so divisive? Why compare marshmallows and pickles? Why cant we accept both pickles and marshmallows as very important without stepping on toes?
funnyboneParticipantA klutz is also a piece of wood…
funnyboneParticipantA woodchuck could chuck wood until tthe big black bug bled black blood.
November 17, 2017 12:50 pm at 12:50 pm in reply to: Does “Chasidish” refer to both Satmar and Lubavitch? #1405269funnyboneParticipantI guess it depends on context. I had a chassidish pkumber who barely spoke english would be satmar etc.
I daven with a minyan where people focus on avodas Hashem al pi the Besht would include chabad.November 17, 2017 11:57 am at 11:57 am in reply to: Yeshiva Boys Are Allowed To Wear Colored Shirts! #1405265funnyboneParticipantCan someone be a chassid without levush? Dati leumi w/o kippah serugah? Levush is a statement of where you feel you belong. Advertised to all, proud to be a yeshiva bochur!
funnyboneParticipantI have discussed all those questions with my, except vacation.
I have also discussed them at time a with mechanchim, family and friends.
While I respect my ravs advice, at times I will tell him that I disagree and have a discussion why.funnyboneParticipantHow about standing up to liars!

November 12, 2017 2:19 pm at 2:19 pm in reply to: Proper etiquette for bochor speaking to girl’s parents #1401461funnyboneParticipantJoseph; this is CR, where people give opinions based on their experience. If you want a book, then go to the library!
November 12, 2017 9:38 am at 9:38 am in reply to: Proper etiquette for bochor speaking to girl’s parents #1401315funnyboneParticipantIts proper etiquette not to eat. Some people consider themselves non conformists and eat. Either way is fine.
funnyboneParticipantMost people would find it too informal and impersonal. If you are both informal and/or the pizza store is more formal it sounds fine.
funnyboneParticipantI would recommend that you take the job. You might find that you love the work.
You might find that the job isnt for you but the company might see how dedicated you are and might offer you a different position.
Good luck! Please let us know how things work out!funnyboneParticipantHave a rav, rebbe or mentor to discuss your differences.
October 8, 2017 3:42 pm at 3:42 pm in reply to: The likelihood of raising a half black child as yeshivish #1379070funnyboneParticipantOnce people get to know your children it wont make a difference. What will be important is that you are on, the same page as your children. People will be more likely to make playdates for their children with families that they know.
funnyboneParticipantJust because you are an introvert doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t have friends. It just means that you don’t like the large group. Find someone that needs a friend and be one.
funnyboneParticipantWow, at least you have time to post in the CR!
funnyboneParticipantTo scare away the mice…

1. melatonin
2. limit caffeine
3. no food 4 hours before sleep time

August 17, 2017 10:29 pm at 10:29 pm in reply to: The RCA Are Outta Control, And Do NOT Speak For Me #1341488funnyboneParticipantStanding up to neo-nazis should be commended. While I like trump, I think he should have denigrated the nazis. The question woukd be if the left woukd drive the car….
funnyboneParticipantIt depends on whether you use plastic dishes on shabbos
funnyboneParticipantWhat are her expectations? I bought machzorim and a matching siddur with her name on it.
funnyboneParticipantGenerally speaking, kollel gives a stipend. It isnt minimum wage. It just helps pay the bills. Most people wouldnt consider it work or a job.
Im not aware of a kollel where you have to pay to learn there.funnyboneParticipantWe all have our styles and dress codes. I’m not aware that typically bochurim don’t wear sweaters, but if in your community they don’t you have three choices:
1. Follow the crowd.
2. Do as you please and not care about the crowd.
3. Move and find a crowd whose styles align with yours.
funnyboneParticipantIf I get your MM and see who it’s from, and I trust your kashrus, I will eat it right away.
Once Purim is over, I have no idea who sent what and all the loose cookies and cakes get thrown out.
funnyboneParticipantDo you know the name of the one owned by a Jew?
funnyboneParticipantDo you have a teacher or rabbi you can ask? I’m sure people would be thrilled to have you over.
