December 26, 2018 5:47 pm at 5:47 pm in reply to: Corporal punishment must remain an option for teachers #1652470funnyboneParticipant
If the objective is the to have amount of children OTD, then corporal punishment is the way to go. Otherwise, follow our mechanchim and gedolim.
funnyboneParticipantThey have in the past given a sefer torah.
funnyboneParticipantA sefer torah.
funnyboneParticipantFor those whos dont learn, minhag yisroel torah. In Israel, the chassidim keep nittel as well.
I dont say that i comprehend nittel, but if the gadol/chassidus that a person follows keeps it, then oyhers shouldnt make leitzanus.funnyboneParticipantHmmmm….doomsday, we call that correlation. Its possible that food coloring, sugar or a multitude of reasons cause these illnesses. Studies have shown that its not the vaccine, same chances of getting the sickness with or without vaccine.
December 12, 2018 10:07 am at 10:07 am in reply to: Schools and vaccinations — a modest proposal #1642429funnyboneParticipantHey, OP, I have a better idea! School is open to everyone, as long as they have a medical form filled out that they were vaccinated!
funnyboneParticipantMake sure that a sefer torah is loaned to an individual, and he is responsible to give it back to you. If you dont trust the individual dont lend. That being said, its a zechus to use your sefer torah and if you trust someone definitely loan it.
December 6, 2018 10:43 pm at 10:43 pm in reply to: New Ongoing Story, please add your continuations. #1639037funnyboneParticipantIf watch needs new battery it would not say that youre two hours late. It would be stuck at an early hour!
December 5, 2018 7:49 pm at 7:49 pm in reply to: Are students allowed to be thrown out of school? Mesivta/ high school #1638237funnyboneParticipantEvery yeshiva has its standards. When a bochur crosses the line, the yeshiva must weigh its options. When there are no other options left, and an alternate yeshiva is found, the yeshiva has a right to expel. Why is that complicated?
December 4, 2018 7:13 pm at 7:13 pm in reply to: Leaving children out of the education debate #1637367funnyboneParticipantMy son wants to be a fireman.
December 4, 2018 10:00 am at 10:00 am in reply to: Are students allowed to be thrown out of school? Mesivta/ high school #1636731funnyboneParticipantI agree with Meno. But, yeshiva is responsible that alternate placement is found.
December 4, 2018 10:00 am at 10:00 am in reply to: shalom mordechai is OUT…..BARUCH HASHEM! Its Zos Chanukah #1636742funnyboneParticipantIm very happy that he is a free man. I celebrated last year. Does the anniversary necessitate celebration? I dont know.
funnyboneParticipantYserbius, even those that get welfare, understand that its wrong. They would be happier with lower taxes, lower property taxes which would make rent affordable and an opportunity to earn a living.
funnyboneParticipantCuz its kosher.
funnyboneParticipantKudos for a great question!
funnyboneParticipantI would assume that they dont check on you. I would ignore it.
funnyboneParticipantIt’s a zechus to have someone of your caliber look down on me.
November 11, 2018 9:07 pm at 9:07 pm in reply to: Gluten free challah and treats: Give in to my cravings? #1621109funnyboneParticipantMy personal experience is if you cut out a food group it takes six weeks for cravings to stop.
Good luck.funnyboneParticipantWhen people would eat by Avraham they would thank him. His response was dont thank me, thank HaShem.
What is wrong with a verbal thank you?funnyboneParticipantWinniethepoo +1!
Kudos to op who asked a Rabbi who knows him and his community so that he could give him direction based on his personal circumstances.September 21, 2018 3:15 pm at 3:15 pm in reply to: Should pregnant women fast on Yom Kippur? #1595324funnyboneParticipantIf baby is born a little early it is usually not a problem. Fasting usually does just that, a little early. Usually a baby wont be born a month early due to fasting. High risk cases, and any case where the dr wants patient to eat are discussed w LOR.
funnyboneParticipantI agree w op. Entitlements shouldnt be luxurious, rather only necessities. I have three children in a room, while Section 8 will give another bedroom so that there are only two children in a room!
Of course this should include workfare…funnyboneParticipantPart of the blame lies with those who park LEGALLY across from a double parked cat, this causes busses and trucks to get stuck causing a MASSIVE CHILLUL HASHEM!
funnyboneParticipantYseigel:
Please educate me. Which hashgocha requires blending?funnyboneParticipantAre you referring to frozen ones? Those do not have to be checked for bugs.
funnyboneParticipantOption 4.
Joseph, who is talking about celebrating? Sending someone best wishes isnt a celebration!
BTW, whose is there a sefer of halachos for erliche yidden that you are quoting?funnyboneParticipantDoesnt it cost more to feed a boy? Bochurim can pack down a meal!
June 1, 2018 5:29 pm at 5:29 pm in reply to: How do you keep your children interested @ the Shabbos Seuda #1531172funnyboneParticipantR. Paysach Krohn says that in order to lead a Shabbos meal the father must spend some time to prepare. Finding appropriate divrei torah and stories takes time.
My children enjoy Vehaarev Na discussions from R. Silberstein.funnyboneParticipantIt deends on the neighborhood. If its a neighborhood with mainly medicaid clients it might be a necessity. If its an upscale neighborhood it might be optional.
funnyboneParticipantWhat would you like to do? First decide on your career then decide where to use your credits.
I personally went to Touro where they accept either 48 credits for BA or 60 for semicha.funnyboneParticipantShomer pesayim Hashem.
April 8, 2018 7:30 pm at 7:30 pm in reply to: Is it reasonable to tell a 21 yr old boy to date a 24 yr old girl !!!!!! #1503702funnyboneParticipantIs everything else perfect on paper? Everyone gas their own priorities, so i cannot get into specifics, but if the shoe fits, then…um, try it on?
funnyboneParticipantIs option 1 and 3 an option? Or option 1 and 2?
I guess its nicer to have a bris in shul with many attendees. You coud serve some kichel and grape juice when done, I imagine you will have plenty of leftovers. ..
Then you go home and have a seudas bris for family or extended family and friends. If someone is uncomfortable mishing, they should feel confortable to tell it to you.
Mazel tov! May you have lots of yiddish nachas from all your children and grandchildren! Current and future!funnyboneParticipantMetsch: If my complaint was that Dr.’s don’t spend enough time with patients, you would be right. My complaints is that Dr.’s make us wait, c’mon, it doesn’t make sense!
funnyboneParticipantBigson is kosher?
funnyboneParticipantRandom: you can see objections to everything! Hmmmm. ..anyone object to scrambled eggs? Yes! Why? Dont know yet, maybe Haman ate them? It says in the megillah, lasois kirtzoin ish vuish, so they MUST have had scrambled eggs!
funnyboneParticipantWhat will you do if you have a question about shabbos clocks and he says that the eruv in BP isnt kosher? Will you no longer use a shabbos clock? Or will you be careful not to make a pulled pork sandwich without the pork?
funnyboneParticipantJoseph…what do you think? Why do people with more pressure need more vacation?
funnyboneParticipantctlawyer: so did you act like a dr and have clients wait for you for an hour?
funnyboneParticipantOoty: how do you define disgusting?
funnyboneParticipantJoseph: the question was about pulled pork, not pulled leg
funnyboneParticipantCan one use a trief recipe for kosher, can one use smartphone for davening, can one use a car during the week that he cannot use on Shabbos.
funnyboneParticipantPatients, generally speaking, come late because doctor’s offices look like the DMV. What difference does it make how much you get paid! You are making all of your patients lose out on an hour of work so that maybe you wont lose 15 minutes one day during the year.
funnyboneParticipantBaltimore, by hundreds or thousands.
funnyboneParticipantIac: no way, plagiarism in jewish cookbooks!
funnyboneParticipantBaltimore maven, does that include sushi?
funnyboneParticipantHmmm…if you make a cheeseburger without the cheese, is that ok?
If you drink milk with a pareve cholent?
If you eat eggs without bacon?
Eat lettuce but check for bugs?funnyboneParticipantLaskern: this thread is not about ideas how to utilize wait time in a doctors office! Do you shop in a grocery where you wait on line for an hour? Why do doctors think their time is more important than ours?! Common courtesy would say that if i make an appointment to meet with someone then I need to be on time. Doctor office should be no different!

February 12, 2018 12:54 pm at 12:54 pm in reply to: Why did Hashem give us two ears but only one mouth? #1467359funnyboneParticipantWhy 10 fingers and 10 toes?
