Do crossword puzzles…..Play online trivia games like Jeopardy
full_of_rageMemberJust the opposite. There are many Amish people living in the area who are very tznius. There is also a place called “cherry crest farms” which has great activities for kids.
full_of_rageMemberperhaps this discussion of “rules” and “supposed to” is part of the shidduch crisis. Are people putting to much emphasis on the wedding and not the marriage?
full_of_rageMemberBezalel- Why must everything be due to Antisemitism? I think we are far too quick to play that card. Banning Shechita, and Bris Milah.. those are issues where perhaps there is antisemitism involved.
You yourself said “on black friday in the afternoon….” do you know why it’s called a doorbuster? to get people in the store when they open to “bust through the doors”.
full_of_rageMemberI am a lefty and never had any problems. If your son isn’t zoche to a life of torah teach him a curve ball, left handed pitchers always get paid more!!!

full_of_rageMemberTMB, How many FULL tuitions will you be able to pay on the salary’s listed below. Those are good salary’s if you have 1-2 children and are renting a two bedroom apartment and don’t have many children in Yeshiva.
A tuition break is a form of Tzedoko, so don’t think in terms of finding a job that will allow you to make enough to cover a Yeshiva’s minimum tuition.
Here are some other non-college jobs and median salaries:
Elevator Install 63,620
Construction Mgr 73,700
Railroad Conductors 55,530
Dental Hygienist 62,800
Transp Inspector 50,390

If we don’t interact with Goyim why do accept services from them? Perhaps you should consider driving your trash to the dump yourself so that there is no interaction between yourself and the sanitation engineer, same goes for the mail ; pick it up yourself from the post office.
If there may be a halachic problem in giving it specifically for Dec. 25th, try marking it “In appreciation for all you’ve done for us this past year” or give it to him a few weeks early.
Anyway the entire Dec 25th holiday has become so unaffiliated with religion in this country (except for those who are really devout). It has become a commercialized marketing campaign. Did you know that the percieved character of Mr. Clause (not the story, his physical features0 was actually a marketing campaign created by Coca-Cola?

You make it sound as if there is some sort of issur in surgical weight loss. Would you consult a posek if chas v’shalom you had a heart attack and were told you need immediate bypass surgery. Would you say “Dr. please wait I just sent a shailoh to eretz yisrael” How about if the doctor suggested that you cut
down on red meat (still leaving you the option for Bosor V’Dagim on shabbos), or to lower your salt intake? Of course one can and should consult a Rov for advice but why are you looking to create an Issur?
full_of_rageMemberwhat do poskim have to do with this?
full_of_rageMemberNext week will be the 10th anniversary of having my banding done. I started at close to 300 lbs and now weigh 165-170lbs. I wear smaller clothing now than i did to my own bar mitzvah.Don’t think that this is an easy way out, it takes a lot of work and devotion to have lasting success. you will have to give up foods you like eat smaller portions, and completely change your way of life. Good luck!!
