“That may be good for gedolim like him he probably finished all that before he was six, but for simple people like meI guess I’d be 90 years old before I opened up a gemara” – Get-r-dun –
Just go to the little kids in Aderet Eliyahu in Yerushalayim and see for yourself that children in 7th Grade know Tanach and Mishnah by heart. They open the Gemarah in 8th Grade. But my little boys know more Torah than the Brisker Yeshiva Boys that come to my house.
There are other Chadarim that learn Torah Shel Bal Peh like Chemdas HaTorah in Lakewood.
Given that it’s not mainstream. But it exists.

Why are people reacting about the kiddush Hashem when it’s clear the article was very vague.

As a frum woman, I have hard time justifying men complain at the lack of tznius in public areas. While they are technically right but lower the volume, men! Are we to expect a frum man to be so fickle as to have no control of where his eyes roam?! Maybe learn self control to a degree.

@ujm – Smallpox vaccine, which was created in 1798 did not stop the peak of the 2510 deaths of small pox as that peaked in 1902 – according to the CDN. So that wouldn’t necessarily be the greatest invention unless you benefited from that vaccine monetarily.

ZachKessin, Do you have the phone number of whom to contact for this job? I live in Israel, and am a US citizen looking for a job!

If you are looking for a secretarial job and can legally work in Israel (e.g. you have working papers or a visa with permission to work in Israel) you can apply to an English speaking company called FXCM Citibook they pay relatively decent. the link to the job is http://www.ou.org/index.php/jobs/job-hiring/74619/ You can try looking into OU’s website or janglo.net for other job opportunities. If you would like to work from home you can look into the Parameds job- from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

    Hatzlacha with whatever you do.
