    Some reliable googling:

Most states consider jaywalking a petty misdemeanor, the most lenient type of misdemeanor. Generally if not ignored, it is punished with a fine around or less than $100. But a violator is subject to arrest and sentencing up to six months in jail and a substantial fine.

It is not a felony but it is technically a crime. You’re right people don’t think of it in the sense of being a criminal act. But it is, under the law. Wasn’t that the basis of Joseph’s point.

My source is personal knowledge. I’m an academic genius.

But Google properly please. Google: “calcium content of bananas”

Let me know what you get

Msprincess is a fresh energetic kid. At least by me. Maybe we can cut her some slack

Bananas have 8 mg calcium per cup. Not much. But it’s not zero. And bananas are very helpful in the absorption of calcium from other sources. So there.

Probably a closer comparison is to liquor.

Due to the layers of control even outside FDA perview

“Nobody has responded to the point I made earlier (because they can’t)”

I will. Not because I want to, but because I can.

It does not have to pass FDA scrutiny because at this point it is considered an herbal supplement. It cannot be marketed to cure any medical condition. If the marketing claims any possible medical benefit it will have to be accompanied by a “statement hasn’t been evaluated by FDA” type disclaimer. No different than Vitamin E, Ginko, Bilberry, etc. ad nauseum, and the already existing multi billion dollar pseudo medical alternative industry. A number of which products have been found to have potential serious side effects, including dependency and addiction such as Guanara and ephedra

You and I live in different worlds gavra.

I’m surrounded by so many men, with large families, Who learn full time in Kollel. Whose faces glow with Kedushah. Tzadikim, big Talmeidei Chochomim, honest sweet generous men, menchim every one.

I don’t know a single one who does not learn with a fire and love. I know no one who just hides in the Kollel from working. They all Daven for parnassah. They don’t demand anything.

    I am so very fortunate.

I suppose there are people that you describe gavra. I just never saw one.

On another note I wonder if Rabeinu Tam wore Tefillin as per the Minhag of his Zadie, even if he didn’t poskin like him?

I meant, at the end, towards the side of assuring.

In any case the question “Is there a mesorah or is there not a mesorah” is integral. Within that question various parameters have to be evaluated such as why there isn’t a mesorah.

    Please say you understand now.

Indeed you can’t have a mesorah in such a situation. The fact that there happens to be no mesorah is a passive factor militating toward not mutaring. A situation where there COULD have been a mesorah and there is not is a stronger and active factor towards the side of not assuring.

Your “rebuttal” does not change neither one whit nor one iota the truthfulness of the statement you challenged.

Indeed there IS an issue of mesorah in poskining shailas of kashrus. The fact that turkey and bison have been poskined ( by most) to be mutar doesn’t change the correct fact that mesorah was a factor that was considered in arriving at the psak.

Scouring forums some say it’s good, some say not, some say it’s good but they will certify establishments that are open on Shabbos. I didn’t find it on the CRC list but their list is very machmir and not all inclusive. So I don’t know.

From th ikc website “We are an Orthodox certification. Rabbi Zev Schwarcz, is the Rabbi directing the IKC. He is a graduate and musmach of Telshe Yeshiva in Cleveland. He has had over 20 years experience with Kashrus supervision with major kosher certifying agencies. All of our Mashgichim are Orthodox, bnei yeshivos. Our guideline is the Halacha (Jewish Law). We strive to do everything according to Halacha (Jewish Law).”

We had a store in my area that sold “apikorsus” books like ” the five books of Miriam” R’L.

I asked a shaila and was told it was permitted for me to enter there and buy products there if I couldn’t get them from elsewhere easily, or if it was more expensive elsewhere.

Well that’s a drunk who got drunk in a bar. What about the guy who gets drunk at a party at home at work etc. and someone drunk isn’t the one most likely to need particular medical attention.

What about a heart attack, stroke, syncope, seizure, suicide, psychosis. All not necessarily time of day related.

I don’t think it is reasonable to modify EMS protocol for the consideration that the driver is a drunk. And to only apply the protocol late at night.

Why not modify the protocol according to the time of day. Not the number of vehicles? Maybe but this is beginning to seem ridiculous already. You need a reasonable general protocol not a 500 page volume which modifies the approach depending on the various combinations of numerous factors A responder has to have some seichel and experience And training in addition to a generalized protocol to follow

    !

I think you could possibly have a good idea.

What though makes you think an impaired driver in traffic is more likely to veer off the road and hit a pole or something rather than hit another car or cause another car to hit him?

If there is a reasonable explanation for that hypothesis then maybe you’re on to something.

I think your solution is very intriguing (although in my opinion it is not correct). But your evasiveness and strong repeated implications that it is already standard EMS practice left your credibility in serious doubt.

Yes you have to consider medical causes. Everyone here agrees to this and we don’t need a source.

Now if you will please answer the question we all keep asking you.

WHAT IS YOUR SOURCE FOR DISTINGUISHING BETWEEN SINGLE AND MULTIPLE VEHICULAR ACCIDENTS?

How many times do we have to ask?

Yes something is still bothering me.

I’ll rephrase my question as you demanded:

QUESTION FOR HEALTH TO ANSWER: What is the source of your statement that proper EMS protocol is to approach the evaluation of the victims differently when dealing with a single vehicle accident as opposed to a multi vehicle accident?

If I mischaracterized your statement, then please restate it and then tell us where we can find an authoritative reference that contains your contention.

“states -“Trauma – Are there medical causes? (e.g. diabetes, CVA, MI, etc.)”

No one is arguing against this.

Does this EMS book state a difference in applying this question depending on the number of vehicles involved?

    in reply to: Treatment #1116856

    Yes health PLEASE.

your statement is completely illogical to a number of us here.

PLEASE reference the source, any source, even one please, that there is a different protocol to follow for first responders providing emergency medical care to victims, for a one vehicle accident as opposed to a multi vehicular accident.

Please give us one source we can look into to decide if this discussion is worth pursuing.

Exclamation marks do not add any validity to your claim.

I suspect you have no source. Or perhaps you heard it from an instructor during a course you took. Or perhaps it’s your own chiddush

I suppose it’s a matter of relative likelihood.

Seems to me though, it should be an important consideration in all cases.

You should assume possible driver impairment as the cause of a 1 car accident.

Heart attack, stroke, drug use, drunk, suicide, etc.
