    on a side note:

when you bring your children to Shul to run around and play,

you are teaching them that a Shul is a playground.

they will internalize this teaching and return to Shul as adults, primarily to socialize, eat, drink, and play with their blackberries

    to clarify

    according to the Zohar HaKodesh

even though Pinchas was alive when Nadav and Avihu “died”, their souls entered Pinchas. and joined with him to become a gilgul in Eliyahu

Moshe said to Hashem in Parshas Shmini:

shlach NA (send please), who you will send

    one vort:

he was referring to Nadav and Avihu, who Chazal say were greater than Moshe and Aharon.

NA meaning Nadav and Avihu (send Nadav and Avihu)

Nadav and Avihu, who were combined as a gilgul in NA, Navi Eliyahu, NA

At several hilly locations, known as “gravity hills,” objects such as cars left on neutral supposedly roll uphill, driven by unknown forces and against the force of gravity. Physicists say — and GPS measurements confirm — that the effects are illusions caused by the landscape. The position of trees and slopes of nearby scenery, or a curvy horizon line, can blend to trick the eye so that what looks uphill is actually downhill.

maybe there IS some gaavah mixed in with self interest and the Simcha of doing the Boreh’s will.

i can hear the Yetzer HaRah speaking to you, the frum Yetzer HaRah, the trickiest disguise he uses.

when you get to the level of the Chofetz Chaim, then it’s time to start seriously worrying about that gaavah in the mixture. now just try your best to do it as much l’shaym Shamayim as you can.

just do it. you know your Tatti will be happy even if it is not yet Pure.

    squeak, im adding not disagreeing

Rabbi Avigdor Miller, tz’l, said, as a “general rule”: when people in general think highly of a person, then HaKodeshBoruchHu most likely does also.

(obviously this wouldnt apply to a rasha successfully masquerading as a Tzaddik as well as other possible scenarios)

thats not to say that to concentrate on what others think of you is a good mahalach, rather that one who makes himself elevated in the eyes of HaKodeshBaruchHu, will automatically become elevated in the eyes of people. rather pashut actually.

and of course another meaning (also pashut) is that one who strives to do kindnesses to his brothers(l’shaim shamayimim, or even out of innate empathy)will become elevated in the eyes of Hashem, as well as in the eyes of the community.

i believe you misunderstood the quote

    i believe it means:

never look down on anyone, period.

now if you are helping someone UP, then you are figuratively looking down on them only in the sense that they are DOWN (meaning: “down”, needing lifting, not “down” as in “inferior”)

in a Gemorra, Chazal talk about the noise that the sun makes.

recently it was discovered that indeed, due to internal vibrations, the sun makes noise.

there is a Gemorrah re: damages, that brings up the problem of a rooster that put it’s head in a glass vessel and shatters it with his crowing.

im not certain, but i think the idea of acoustic waves causing damage is a relatively new scientific concept

“Was there simcha when Bais Rishon was being destroyed? Baid Sheini? Should there have been?”

i imagine, yes to some extent with certain great people.

did not Rabbi Akiva laugh when he saw the foxes rummaging through the remnants of the Bais Rishon?

Were they aware of the fact that Hashem’s Wrath was given over to wood and stones as an act of Mercy, and not taken out to it’s full extent on flesh and blood? is this itself not a cause of Simcha

yes, it is a Mitzvah to mourn the Bais HaMikdosh.

it is a Mitzvah to mourn for a parent.

it is also a Mitzvah to see the Yad Hashem, to be Somayach that we have a Tatti in Shamayim, who loves us and EVERYTHING that he does is for our Good.

the matter is subtle and complex and difficult

i think i personally have said enough for now

moish, i say this without flattery, your question is a very important one. and i have the impression that you truly want an answer. i think you are on a very good path.

im not really qualified to answer it right now, though i know there is an answer.

first of all, we are talking very high madragas here, which few can attain, but many can acquire a portion of.

recall my post of the Tzaddik who had a tooth pulled with no anaesthesia, and showed no pain. i imagine he felt the pain, yet he didnt. i dont however know exactly what this means.

yes you and i feel pain.

imagine a mountain climber who develops severe frostbite in his legs. they rescue him and bring him to a hospital. the doctor tells him they are going to amputate his legs.

his family brings in a world famous specialist. he tells him, yes we will almost certainly have to amputate,

    but

there is a chance, a small chance he might recover without amputation, they will wait one day,

if he begins to have pain in his legs, the more pain the better, the more chance for recovery without amputation.

imagine his elation when he begins to have pain.

imagine his euphoria as the pain gets worse.

imagine his ecstasy as the pain becomes severe.

because he knows what the pain means.

he knows the result it is bringing.

if he is truly a loving Tatti as our Tatti in Shmayim is, then he is whipping you with love, for YOUR sake, not to vent his anger, because you NEED this whipping, and you will someday be so overwhelmed with gratitude for this whipping (though the Ribbono Shel Olom himself was “crying” over your pain, while he was administering your medicine)that you will not be able to find the words to express it.

sometimes when evolutionists twist and turn into ridiculous contortions trying to explain how a clearlycunningly designed complex system could have come about through chaos, they usually are forced to dramatically simplify the supposed chain of events.

    for example:

in the above system, in order to initiate the remarkable events the fungus has to first enter the plant, simple right? well: no even miniscually small event in a biological system is simple

here is a sketch as to how the rust fungus enters the plant, even this description is extremely bare boned. dont expect to understand it, just get a taste for it.

When a rust conidium lands on a plant surface, it needs to attach to it, or it would simply be washed off. First, weak, hydrophobic interactions are formed between the spore and the cutin of the plant cell surface. Then unknown signals cause the production of hydrophobic mucilaginous macromolecules called adhesins. These will stick the spore irreversibly to the plant surface.[1] Once attached, the spore will germinate. Rust fungi then penetrate the plant by using the natural opening of the stoma, but first the growing germ tube must locate it. Rust fungi efficiently locate stomata by the use of thigmotropism. The germ tube grows in a random manner until it reaches a ridge between epidermal cells. At this point, it will start to grow perpendicular to the ridge, greatly increasing its chances of locating a stoma.

The stoma is the site of appresorium formation, a structure that functions to both firmly anchor the fungus and aid in penetration.[3] In the rust fungi appresorial formation is controlled by a process of thigmodifferentiation. Appresoria are formed when the germ tube detects ridges that match the dimensions of the stomatal lips of its host species.

It has been proposed that this process is mediated by a mechanosensitive calcium ion channel that is located at the germ tube tip. This ion channel would transduce the stretching of the cell membrane caused by changes in leaf topography into ion fluxes that lead to changes in gene expression and appresorium formation.[4]. This theory is supported by experiments that show that applying Ca2+ externally to the germ tube causes differentiation.

From the appresorium an infection peg grows down into the plant and between the mesophyll cells.

Rust fungi are biotrophs, meaning they gain their nutrients from living cells. This requires a specialised entension of the fungus into a living plant cell called a haustorium. This develops from a haustorial mother cell. The plant cell membrane invaginates around the main haustorial body and the space between the two membranes becomes known as the extra-haustorial matrix. An iron and phosphorus rich neck band bridges the plant and fungal membranes and acts as a seal preventing the escape of nutrients into the plant apoplast. The haustorium contains amino acid and hexose sugar transporters and H+-ATPases for the active transport of nutrients from the plant cell.[5]

The rust fungus will then continue to grow and invade the plant until it is ready for sporulation.

this is just a bare sketch of our very limited knowledge of just the tiny beginning of a gigantic complex, miraculous invasion

As we get older, we realize that there are obstacles to being happy

    depends on your Emunah

the deeper your Emunah, the more you work on developing it….the more you are Somayach that everything the Boreh, Yisborach does is for your good. the more you are Somayach that your loving Tatti stands over you nourishing you with whatever you need, for your good, for your ultimate happiness.

or just google the item itself, possibly adding the word: “myth” also

the box has to be secured with a physical everyday lock.

You want to send a valuable object to a friend securely. You have a box which can be fitted with multiple locks, and you have several locks and their corresponding keys. However, your friend does not have any keys to your locks. How can you send the object securely?

you could send him the key in a separate envelope, but according to my rules i am eliminating this as an answer, to make it more difficult

During the Second World War, a sign at the entrance of the main Louis Vuitton storefront in Paris read “No dogs. No Jews.

no longer there, except perhaps in the hearts of the employees and management.

i cant give you a source but

    its simple logic.

if an administrator of a large charity fund put you in charge of distributing the money, would you just give it out randomly or would you carefully determine who needed and who didnt need the help. by giving to those that dont need it you are taking it away from those who do.

    i dont follow politics

so its safe to say i wont win any arguments here

but i am a good judge of character

mr bush is clearly a man of rare integrity, one who makes his decisions based on the values he holds, and not on expediency

    very unusual for a politician.

    very important for a leader.

he was there for close to a year when he started “turning around”

stayed there another year, then a third year as a “mentor” to troubled boys.

he’s now seriously and with great Simcha learning in Kollel, with his Kallah and one year old boy. he’s been in Eretz Yisroel now a total of maybe eight years.
