Boro Park GirlMember
I went to a school that caters to many types of girls(chassidish, Livish) and we learnt about it from Oz V’Hadar Levusha for a short time and had many workshops and panels on the topic to help us master the halachos and get the proper hashkafos to go along with it.
Boro Park GirlMemberThe easiest places to vacation to are ones where there are a lot of minyanim so that you don’t have to make yourself crazy to be back on time for that one minyan in the one shul in some small hicktown.
Boro Park GirlMemberI heard a story of a guy who took a girl in a car and drove past a BMW dealer at which he had hung a sign saying “Be My Wife”
Boro Park GirlMemberI’m 5’6″ and I love being tall. I feel bad for girls who are short because I know my short friends have a very hard time finding clothes that look good on them and don’t make them look dumpy even when they’re thin.
Boro Park GirlMemberI think its a great place to vacation. I live here and besides for the noise which might be a little annoying, I think it is a very convenient place to be for shopping and eating out.
Have Fun!!!!
Boro Park GirlMemberThanks but I already tried this and it doesn’t seem to help. Any other tips?
Boro Park GirlMemberI saw clips and pictures of it and it was a beautiful event.
Boro Park GirlMember14 = Minimum age at which one can work in many U.S states. Some require parental consent while others don’t.
14 = The number of days in a fortnight.

Boro Park GirlMemberOne famous store in Flatbush auctioned their first pie off a few years ago for Chai Lifeline and we won it.(was only for about $50) Was about half raw- but at least money went to tzedaka!

April 8, 2011 3:13 pm at 3:13 pm in reply to: When you see Holocaust era films, how do they affect you? #757260Boro Park GirlMemberOn tisha b’av when we watch the films about the war, we all end up crying.
Boro Park GirlMemberBy Chol Hamoed, most of the kids don’t want to look a lady fingers anymore because thats all theyve been given as nosh so you can use them to make ice cream sandwiches- one cookie
a little layer of ice cream
another cookie
If you want to serve these to adults, you can dip them in chocolate halfway.
Boro Park GirlMemberHelp!!! I’m really in a dire position!! We were busy with a simcha til now and pesach is in 1 1/2 weeks!
Boro Park GirlMemberThis thread is the cutest!!
Boro Park GirlMemberNot all Bugaboos are so expensive. I know someone who got one for 500(on sale)which is the price of a regular stroller and they said that it is a really great carriage.
Boro Park GirlMemberShlomo Hadarshan is a litvishe badchan- also hilly hill
Boro Park GirlMemberdidn’t fast but my family ate baked ziti, omelets, kokosh cake and hamantashen.
Boro Park GirlMemberAZ- I personally never donated but I read their ad in the Hamodia and it sounds like it’s worth it to try
Boro Park GirlMemberTo student- stop complaining. Most schools that are giving off now only had 2-3 days midwinter vacation so really it cancels out(either one week straight or split into a few different times) I personally think this way is better because if kids are off for a week straight they (and their mothers) go crazy while like this they have a short vacation to relax and have fun and then they go back to school.
Boro Park GirlMemberAs a teen that’s a teacher, I think teachers try their best to be fair but usually have a reason why they feel the way they do- if they feel they’re right it’s because they are basing it on something.
Boro Park GirlMemberHow about a teacher- if someone has a few kids, 50 dollars each can add up to a pretty high amount.
Boro Park GirlMemberDonate to Yeshivas Mordechai Hatzaddik.
Boro Park GirlMemberLadies and girls in my family only fast Yom Kippur and Tisha B’av. So I’m not fasting today.
Boro Park GirlMemberYou can buy it in a grocery for about 12 a lb.-usually is still fresh-we buy from the rav of our shul and pay 22.50 but its baked in Nissan.
Boro Park GirlMemberWe buy 15 lbs for a family of 5 adults.-usually we have just enough to save 1 lb. for pesach sheini.
Boro Park GirlMemberWe say totty. “Pop” wouldn’t go over very well in my house.
Boro Park GirlMemberYou might want to try a field where you would work physically. Ex: electrician, plumber, heating/AC… – they make a nice living and there’s no hard schooling involved.
Boro Park GirlMemberreally is- but its also much harder to daven and to have kavanah with so many festivities going on
Boro Park GirlMemberMy three year old brother was fighting with my five year old sister when he ran into the kitchen and started pouring himself a cup of milk. When my mother asked why, he answered, “I need to be strong to be able to fight!”
Boro Park GirlMemberLook at the old threads on this topic-there are tons of good ideas among them
Boro Park GirlMemberThanks everyone!!!(besides pba;))
Boro Park GirlMembermaybe concerts should be separate except for families with young kids (like boys on one side, girls on the distant other side and families in between)
I don’t go often but one year(like ten years ago) there was a big concert in Jacob Reis Park with Dachs, freid… and this was the arrangement. I think it worked very well.
Boro Park GirlMemberor at least limit your calorie intake, exercise…(and no, typing is not good enough)
Boro Park GirlMemberStop eating!!
Boro Park GirlMemberWhy do drive up atms have braille lettering?
Why is lemon juice made of artificial flavors but dishwashing liquid contains real lemons?
Why would someone order a double burger, large fries, and a diet coke?
Why are cigarettes sold at the front of the pharmacy but to get medicine you must go all the way to the back?
Think about these.
Boro Park GirlMemberThanks for your help!
Boro Park GirlMemberThanks so much- its very appropriate!
Boro Park GirlMemberI use regular rice thats overcooked with a little vinegar added instead of regular sushi rice. In my family, this goes over much better than the terribly, strongly smelly sushi rice recipes.
Boro Park GirlMemberBoot Camp
Boro Park GirlMemberEveryone should ask their own sheila on whats ok for them.
Boro Park GirlMemberWe “mish” on Pesach and we do buy processed foods but we don’t buy all these ‘look alikes’ because we want to have a ‘real’ pesach experience!
Boro Park GirlMemberI really appreciate these ideas. They are hilarious!!
Stickynote- your idea is great- I’m gonna try it this week-Thanks!
March 8, 2011 10:11 pm at 10:11 pm in reply to: Purim Shtick for teachers to do on students #1059768Boro Park GirlMemberThese are great!! Thanks!!
Any more ideas?
Boro Park GirlMemberMods- can I get something good?
Boro Park GirlMemberYoyo-don’t worry, you can wear a shirt under most sweaters-and brooks brothers has non iron ones that don’t require more care than a shell so they’re really wash, dry and wear!!
Boro Park GirlMemberEspecially something that’s cheap, it pays to get rid of just for your sanity.
Boro Park GirlMemberRalphie-as if it makes a difference?
Anyway, I would get rid of itbecause if you kept everything that you may be able to use”one day”, you would have to buy a warehouse to store it.
Boro Park GirlMemberI start usually around Tu Bishvat- But now I started by Purim Kattan.
