i have only seen two people with ruach hakodesh — one is no longer alive (Rav Greenglassin Montreal) and the other is no longer healthy.

There are 36 tzadikim in every generation, but they must be hidden.

Rav Shimshon Dovid Pincus told the story of a man in Ofakim who was never blessed with children. The man spent a lot of time and a lot of money running to every Rebbe, Rosh Yeshiva and Mekubal in EY seeking a brocha for children and nothing helped.

The man came crying to Rav Pincus about his situation and Rav Pincus yelled, “OK enough. You have run to everyone in the world for a bracha EXCEPT HASHEM.” He grabbed the man and threw him in his car. Rav Pincus drove him to the middle of nowhere in the Negev and said the following: “I promise you that if you spend the next two hours screaming to Hashem with all of your heart, Hashem will bless you with a child.”

Rav Pincus returned in two hours to pick up his friend. Within a year they celebrated Hashem’s blessing of a child to this man.

    Git Meshige is right!!!

Learn what sefer Tomer Devorah demands of us — forgiving, tolerating — not easy at all!

I discussed this issue with my posek who said that there are those who permit Quinoa and those that do not. He said that if you have a health reason for eating quinoa, you have reliable poskim to rely upon. BUT he said that it would be better to be machmir and not eat.

My Rav, a survivor of Auschwitz, was makpid on himself and me NOT to say Tehillim from Shkiya until Chatzos.

Others are not makpid. Ask your Rav.

I was in NYC in a restaurant and I saw a Guy with a Yarmulka with his wife. He looked like a regular American clean shaven Frum Jew, but his wife (he told the waiter it was his wife) was Chinese. Let’s assume she was Megiyer acc. to Halacha and she keeps everything, but she didn’t have her head covered.

Is not covering your hair enough to say that it wasn’t a good Geyrus or not?

Do you ask these same questions of EVERY Jew? When will you stop making gairim stop PROVING their yiddishkeit?

I am a gair tzedek. We, gairim, have a chabura of gairim. We are all in well respected chasidisher kehilas.

There are a number of places to learn here in EY. The obvious ones are or samayach and Aish. But there are others. I could help you get in touch with them.

I know the family. The Ecksteins have a daughter, Yocheved, in one of my girl’s kita. This 8 year old girl is undergoing chemo, Hashem Yishmoreinu, as part of her battle with the yenna machla. Yocheved had one surgery, and it is expected she will have more.

Please daven for Yocheved bas Chana Yita
