EttieMember
I just joined Facebook and have been in touch with family and friends overseas(America) but I did join a Jewish group and to my horror received a hateful antisemetic email. I can only imagine that it was sent by someone whojoined the group for this purpose.
EttieMemberI always find shoes at Payless- you can order online. Of course, I live in Israel so I always look for good deals on our rare America trips.
EttieMemberkitzur_dot_net: most vegies did come from Jordan but the carrots came from Italy(at least the ones we bought). I was surprised when I saw the writing on the carrot packages.
EttieMemberI also live in Eretz Yisrael. I came for sem and never left! Wouldn’t move back to America but visits to family are neccessary and enjoyable.
Yoshi- is there something you specifically want to know?
EttieMemberTrue, Yoshi but maybe we should be worried about the chilul H-shem!
EttieMemberThe site with the most inclusive database of Torah and chesed institutions-Olam Hatorah
http:www.torahindex.com
EttieMemberThere is an organization in Israel called Olam Hatorah online at http://www.torahindex.com. Olam Hatorah has compiled a database of Torah and Chesed institutions in Israel so that anybody who receives Tzedaka letters can verify who is sending the letter and what they actually do with donations.
EttieMemberBuy tickets for the Rav Chesed organization of Ashdod’s raffle which will be on Isru Chag. They are raffling off a brand new car and the donations go to providing poor families with food and provisions for newborns.
Tizku l’mitzvos and have a great Yom Tov here in the Holyland.
Donations of all amounts will be happily accepted and the website is secure)
EttieMemberBetter to give Kosher tzedaka than to receive non-kosher(or any).
Would you give tzedaka to an uncertain organization? Then why accept it.
Speaking of giving kosher tzedaka check out Olam Hatorah http://www.torahindex.com to assure that your tzedaka doesn’t go to waste.
