It’s actually a place at the elbow where two bones meet and the nerve passes through. Since there is nothing but skin protecting it, it is a very sensitive area. When hit, there is a sharp, tingling, (or I guess “funny”) sensation, hence, its name, funny bone.

As a mother of teenagers, I can tell you the answer is unfortunately yes. It’s not only those who have nothing to do with their lives. Too many teenagers, (yes, I personally know of several,) are experimenting with drugs. The consequences are frightful! Teenagers will find out about it, regardless of whether or not it is discussed at home.
Parents, please, do yourselves and your precious children a favor. Discuss it with them BEFORE they reach that point.
