    AinOhdMilvado-

I agree with you 100%. The lifestyle that kollel couples live these days is getting way out of hand. I’m not talking about all kollel couples, but I would say a nice percentage.

It is not fair for those who are really being moser to learn in kollel. How do you think they feel when their kids come home from school saying that they want this designer thing and that… why?? because their friends have it. This is what their kids see all around them and it’s sickening!! This is not what living a kollel lifestyle is all about!

jobless- ye, i was thinking it would be pretty funny if our husbands work at the same firm. Or for all we know we live on the same block and could keep each other company on those looong nights. But I guess there’s no way to find that out 🙁

be happy- I don’t think she’s hungry but either way, I just started her on solids so I’m giving her cereal before she goes to sleep. Guess we’ll see how that works.

lol- k it makes me feel good to know i’m not the only one. It’s so frustrating when a whole evening goes by and I get nothing done cuz i’m holding and entertaining her all night. (For all those people who are going to pounce on me- trust me I appreciate what I have- I am not not complaining about her- I just need her to go to sleep earlier.) Of course, as you say, if my husband was home it would be a different story. It’s just that when I have to hold her all night by myself I can’t seem to get ANYTHING else done. By the time she goes to sleep I’m exhausted and I usually end up falling asleep without doing half the things I had planned on doing.

wow jobless, i give you a lot of credit that u wait up for him when he gets home at that hour- especially being that u have a baby and have to go to work the next day! anyway, i find that it helps to talk on the phone. also, just curious- u said u don’t really have friends where you live- thats really hard! where do u live? do u live near family at least?

and btw, I feel just as bad for him. He gets home EXHAUSTED… has to wake up early for shachris, make time to learn… barely gets to see his kids… it’s hard! but can’t complain- bH he has a job! there are a lot of people unfortunately who would love to be in his position.

I feel for you! I have the same story. My husband is also an accountant and I also work part time. And no – not so that we can live luxuriously- so that we can live a normal lifestyle. My husband doesn’t have the regular tax busy season. His busy season is about 7-8 months out of the year in which he gets home between 11-1. The other few months its between 7-10. The frustrating part is that he doesn’t even get paid for overtime. If he did it wouldn’t bother me AS much. Anyway, it is hard- the evenings are very lonely and boring. Not that I don’t have work to keep me busy- I have young children, I prepare for work, and I have housework to do… it’s just not the same when you’re home alone all night with no one to talk to. The only thing you have to keep thinking is that this is just temporary and hopefully soon he’ll move up and make more money and not have to put in as crazy hours as he is now.

thanx for all your suggestions. I took all my food out of my pantry before pesach. i went through all the foods to check for any infestations. i did not find any so i put the food into boxes and taped them up. I have left the food in there and have been vaccuming any moths that im finding flying around the house. b”H i am seeing less and less moths now- about 1 every other day. I’m still worried though that im still finding the moths and wondering if theres anything else i should do. im not restocking my pantry until i know that the problem has stopped but its getting really hard to do cooking without being able to access my ingredients easily.

    Any more suggestions?
