Yes, undoubtedly some have responsibilities in Chutz Laaretz which prevent them from moving to Eretz Yisrael. But the key word is some. Most are not in that category. Most are just going along with their lives by the forces of inertia, instead of making a real cheshbon hanefesh of what is Ratzon Hashem. The source material is so blatant and clear that Hashem wants the Jewish people to return to Eretz Yisrael. Any other conclusion is a rationalization and atzas yetzer hara. Including comments that no one really understands, like we are gathering neitzosos!
Of course Israel is not part of galus. Galus by definition means being outside of Eretz Yisrael. Are a significant portion of Am Yisrael in Galus, yes. Therefore, it can be said that Klal Yisrael as a whole is still in a state of Galus. A Jew who lives in Eretz Yisrael is not in Galus. Even so, Has the Geula been finalized? No, not even in Israel. That is a different question. We all still have a long way to go.
I almost cried reading these responses. Yiddin, open your eyes! What more proof do you need? Can’t you see that Hashem is calling you to come home to Eretz Yisrael? You want quality of Jewish life? There is no place like Eretz Yisrael! Who can honestly argue that Hashem wants you to live in town or out of town. Hashem wants Klal Yisrael to live in Eretz Yisrael. It’s in almost every Parsha in the Torah and every perek of Tanach. What are you waiting for? For Hashem to chase you out of America?
