Elchonon WParticipant
A woman wearing a shaitel is deserving of snooty and obnoxious behavior until she does teshuva.
Elchonon WParticipantI often request to my wife that she wear a snood / hat / scarf / etc. instead of her shaitel when we go out, so she can hopefully influence the insecure, new-wife, celebrity wannabees into doing the right thing.
Stop this expensive shaitel nonsense. It is the scourge of modern day Judaism.
Elchonon WParticipantAlas, you are correct, my friend. My apologies.
However, the underlying theme of my ramblings remains true.Elchonon WParticipantThere is no “solution” required to align the Torah with the scientific understanding of the universe.
The Torah isn’t a science book. It is a book on spirituality, on hashkafah, on theology, on the meaning in our lives.Trying to align it with science is like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. They are completely different, and valuable in their own rights, l’havdil.
Elchonon WParticipantI would suggest you reread them before unloading the criticism, my good sir.
Elchonon WParticipantThey seep into your neshama, whether you realize it or not.
There is no reason to expose yourself to kefira like the theory of relativity. Much better to stick to Torah literature.Elchonon WParticipantThanks for your thoughts, Reb Eliezer.
Continued:
Symphony of ticking, the clock moves on-
Undercut by the cacophony of life
Cloudy, dazed, unable to hear it all at once
Knocked out by the force of it all…Months, years, centuries pass by…
Yet the sound remains the same. How it all flows forward, we’ll never know
Understand its purpose, we never will
Gain perspective, a futile mission
Escape its grasp, impossible.Pitter patter of the rain, against the window
Electricity pulses across the sky
Not once did anyone wonder-
Incidental, or a matter of continued entropy?
Space itself cannot escape, for time binds it.Elchonon WParticipantNew day, new night, nothing seems to have changed
Inching forward or standing still, it’s hard to know
Curious thing, unknown mystery,
Everyone wonders, but there is no answer…Why does time pass on?
Everything moving at light speed
Turn back the clock, and you’ve gone nowhere but the futurePassing by, unnoticed, unseen
Under the radar, it propels you forward
Something, though it’s not there
Swiftly, silently, it sprints forward
Yearning to hold your ground, but the ground moves too… -
