At this special time before Yom HaKadosh, I’m taking this opportunity to beg forgiveness from ALL posters, people whom I dealt with not such a pleasant manner. I’m trying to better myself. I’ll try hard to be civil, gentle, peaceful, gracious. Again please be mochel me (and any other S/N I may happen to have <gasp!>). ESP ARIES, and OOMIS, our highly respected personalities here, whom I have regretfully at times tangled with.

1.Why are the Chasidim called Stoliners rather than Karliners?
Not all Chasidim are called Stoliners.
2.Why is the name sometimes reversed as Stolin-Karlin?
Because this chasidus, derech avodah, was adopted, effected by the Rebbes and communities of these two towns, villages. At one time here another time there. It actually started in Karlin, then the center switched a few times. (In America, they’re generally called Karlin-Stolin and Stolin for short, in Eretz Yisroel they’re generally called Stolin-Karlin, Karlin for short)
3.Are they somehow more affiliated with Pinsk-Karlin
Actually the reverse, that community is a break-away from the main (discussion not suitable for the hallowed confines of the YWCR)
4.Why do they use the Litvish havara rather than the Chasidish havara?
As was pointed out these towns were in ‘Lita’. There is no real Chasidish havara, chasidic communities of the Polish / Galician / Hungarian regions speak with their local accent. Same with the chasidic towns of Lita / Russia. (Skver, for instance once spoke with a Russian havara) I don’t think the Baal Shem Tov or the Maggid spoke with a Galician havara.

That may be the case. What is interesting to note is that in earlier times, Chasidim as a whole were generally known as or called Karliners. ???????. That may either be because they were from the very first disciples, one of the first to forge a derech in avodas HaShem, or because of it’s great zest, fervor, fiery approach to Torah and Tefillah. (they were literally the loudest!)

It’s very apparent the difference of the kind of simcha my edele, heimish style produces than that of the rest of the rock/jazz/bumish sort (junk/noise). You can actually see it in the faces of the attendees, dancing and participating in true Yiddishe simcha. I do one man jobs for occasions, strictly Yiddish style, Yiddishe taam. There is still some demand out there, not as much as those going for the junk, though. I do keyboard, both as one man and as accompaniment. I’m b”h starting out on violin and flute too.

It appears that you need a work-over in your Emunas Tzadikim. One musmach enough to answer your sha’alos knows how to answer you a lot better than you think. A true godol, one who answers sha’alos as to those you are seeking, has a much broader look than our narrow minds. He stands at a higher plane. He may very well not know the minute intricate details of your business, but he doesn’t need that to be able to guide you.
A moshol was once explained on this matter. There was someone in a forest lost. Surrounded by trees in all directions, he couldn’t find his way out. Nearby there was this guard in a tall tower, who helped direct him out. This sentry did not need to know the surface of the forest, the path etc. He had a broader vision. He merely needed to give direction.

I don’t think that is true. No such illusion to that in all Medrashim, all of Talmud (at least bavli) etc. It’s like saying men really have the babies, it’s just that..(they leave the job for their partners) Or the night is really light, it’s just that we don’t need it’s light.
No doubt this conception was by modern day movements, to pacify… Women are not holier, most don’t learn Torah, don’t daven three times a day – struggling through any weather Hashem sends as a test. Women do not have the kedusha acquired through overcoming a powerful yetzer, an urge that HaShem saw fit to confine to males only. Chazal say where there is a fencing of immorality – there is Kedusha. Kedusha comes from learning torah and doing mitzvos. (Rashi says ???? ????, a person who works acquires Shleimus) A woman shares in schar by doing her share – not necessarily sharing the same Shleimus. A woman may have other mitzvos to acquire kedusha – shleimus, but a man definitely has more opportunities.
A woman doesn’t have so many mitzvos – because it’s not her job. Period. HaShem’s symphony (This here world) can only be conducted when each performer is doing their job to the fullest.

Also I don’t think a woman attains the same Kedusha as a man doing mitzvos, learning Torah, its just not her Tafkid. Kedusha attained through mitzvos can only be done doing them – ??? ????? ???????. Also ???? ?? ???? ???????. That why men say ??? ???? ??? the privilege to do mitzvos. A lady doesn’t say ??? ???? ???! Just ????? ?????? to do Ratzon HaShem. Just as men don’t have child rearing pains and tribulations, women don’t have, and cannot understand nisyonos and temptations a man has. That is Kedusha – ??? ???? – ???? ?????. So while it’s easier for a woman to fulfill her role and MOST DO – a man who fulfills his tafkid, ????, ????, ????? ????? – that is truly rewarding.

There is this famous story of the Holy Chafetz Chaim, who was sitting at home (or maybe it was in someone else’s home. There was some girl coming in and out, going by constantly in their proximity. After a while the Chofetz Chaim got angry and said aloud (or screamed) “Enough! What does she think we are?! Malachim?!” – We’re talking of the HOLY Heilege Chafetz Chaim, (dibuk testified he had the Gadlus of a Tana!), we’re also talking about a perfectly dressed girl.
