eclipseMemberDr.Weissberg may have been responsible for 9/11.
eclipseMemberyou can even eat a “turkeya gedolah” if you cut it into “sh’vorim” and share it.It’s ‘true-ah!”
eclipseMemberDr.Weissberg makes drug patties and the tsa caught it in the body scanner.
eclipseMembermen of distinction
eclipseMemberFW,thank you.
eclipseMemberi also found the title of this post offensive.it’s like starting a thread entitled”men who wake up with bad breath”.maybe the mods can close this sickeningly over-discussed topic?
eclipseMemberlakewoodwife–that tape was created by mrs.sue arnold(Morah Sarah)in toronto.i used it when i taught kindergarten,to help my kids, and with kiruv girls.it is absolutely the best!
eclipseMemberwhy lie?just tell the shadchan:for the kavod of my parents, please do not share that info. with anyone.it will cause my parents unneccesary tza’ar.

eclipseMemberI HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE MET A WOMAN WHO a.didn’t have a mirror in her house(ie.wasn’t fully aware of her problem).
or b.didn’t desperately want to fix it.
one problem with putting on weight is that it literally makes you get tired faster when exercising.

November 25, 2010 9:08 pm at 9:08 pm in reply to: Shidduchim, What do boys look for in a girl? #712738eclipseMemberWIY:i have found that women “kvetch, whine, nag cry”etc.for any of these reasons.
1.the husband literally ignores her when she talks.
2.the husband grunts a response, then promptly “forgets”whatever he was supposed to do.
3.he carelessly does whatever it is all wrong.example–gets the specific item asked not to get, decides to vacuum at midnite and wakes up the 4 kids sleeping in that room.when questioned, retorts;”you are never satisfied!no more help from me!’
GET THE PICTURE?
Guys who treat their wives with the courtesy they deserve WILL NEVER END UP LISTENING TO GRATING NAGGING.
eclipseMemberRabbi Gold told me…hey, listen up!He told me that the Cornbagels just got a pet!(see post#!)
eclipseMemberchancellor is a fancy word
eclipseMemberRabbi Goldberg’s tires went up in smoke.
November 25, 2010 3:52 pm at 3:52 pm in reply to: How Do You Store Your Children's Worn Clothing? #712888eclipseMemberfor a white gown or items too valuable to just give away there are fabric or other special coverings so whatever time/exposure does to create those mysterious stains…does not happen.
eclipseMemberfrumladygit–when i had my first kid, an old lady came up to me and said” ah mee’iseh baby!”(an ugly baby)i almost burst into tears!some minhagim are traumatic if no one warns you!!

November 25, 2010 5:42 am at 5:42 am in reply to: How Can I Change My Attitude About Shabbos? #712859eclipseMemberIt all boils down to SIMPLIFY.
Whatever you do to make shabbos EASIER for yourself so YOU also get to enjoy a little Shabbos …IS KOVOD SHABBOS.
BUT!!by the way, everyone, not every single problem in the world is solve-able.
what do I mean?
when your solution involves the cooperation of those in your immediate environment…and beyond your control…only hashem can solve it.
eclipseMemberRabbi Goldberg says bagels are considered to be in the corn family(thus, the surname Cornbagel)and must therefore have been filtered
like the corn.(the new filters are costly)
eclipseMemberA toothless old woman may have pretty blue eyes and a nice new hat.A rambunctious child may have used his abundant energy to be helpful.A strict-natured teacher may give clear and fair tests.the list is endless.
eclipseMembereach kid had about 45 j.c.’s..vos vilst du fun mein leben?
eclipseMemberthere are tiny white bugs in the CORN family(corn on the cob, canned corn, corn syrup)
eclipseMemberi heard Korn’s opened up in Atlantic City!
eclipseMemberI heard the Cornbagel family lost a bet in Atlantic City.
eclipseMemberpenny-wise and dollar-foolish
eclipseMembera principal of a huge school once told me that sincere notes of appreciation mean the world to a rebbe or teacher…and evoke in them a desire to be kind to your child, too.
on a side note, after 2 checks FOR FIVE DOLLARS(j.c.tips) bounced(!!), I was so embarrassed, I decided…if I have so many tips to give I can’t even keep track…i’d rather give one normal size tip to the rebbe(who has to prepare even in the summer).
eclipseMemberminyan gal…ALL the stores cater to your size, don’t they?
eclipseMemberoops…hmm.let me think of something original…if you sell pretty flowers on 13th avenue?
eclipseMemberi think it says in pirkei avos “an ayin tova above all”
November 25, 2010 3:11 am at 3:11 am in reply to: A moment of truth- why do we really judge others? #712069eclipseMemberthe most complex problems usually have simple roots…but to uproot the problem at the root….ah,now that is not always simple…thank you aries–i think we agree on quite a few coffee room issues,do we not?(i’m chancing that comment assuming we are the same gender)
eclipseMembera compliment can make a person’s day–and that person’s joy will affect all the people he/she encounters that day,and so on.
example:the father of the 12 year old will (hopefully) then tell his son how proud he is,and share the nachas with his wife. the son may think “well whaddya know, they do see how hard i try!”and learn extra well that evening.the wife, whose cleaning lady just quit may say”well, the house may be messy–but at least i have good children,b.h.”
November 24, 2010 11:27 pm at 11:27 pm in reply to: Did You Do/See Something New/Exciting/Out Of The Ordinary Today? #712016eclipseMemberlife is mostly about PLAN B.frustration is directly proportionate to what you expected.the only exception to this is being in a truly bad situation and trapped there (chas v’sholom).
otherwise…HOPE FOR THE VERY BEST TURN-OUT…BUT DO BE PREPARED WITH PLAN B…just in case.
a special thing that happened today? i helped set up for a simcha and met a few really nice people.
November 24, 2010 11:17 pm at 11:17 pm in reply to: Shidduchim: A Morbid Interest In Other's Affairs #712396eclipseMemberit all boils down to ga’avah.if you don’t think you’re better just because you’re on the giving/doing end,you will automatically treat everyone you deal with respectfully.i was zoche to bring many couples together and i feel THE RESPECT FACTOR played a role.
eclipseMemberit is also a segulah to be generous with others-Hashem will be generous with you.
also to be makpid on ma’aser and honest money.
and saying birchas hamazon with kavanah.
also parshas ha-mohn.
wow my grammar was bad but the segulos are “BODUK UMENUSEH”-TRIED AND TESTED-ie.GREAT!
November 24, 2010 11:02 pm at 11:02 pm in reply to: How Do You Store Your Children's Worn Clothing? #712886eclipseMemberi think that’s the oxidization.that’s why not everything is worth saving (you can give it to a friend’s kid who can wear it now).and thanks,i’m glad to help.
