haifagirl,I used to be asked to give local shiurim…much less so since my divorce. So,I “darshan” to my friends!(short n sweet–if an interesting thought comes to me)
eclipseMemberhi
eclipseMemberEclipse is finally washing her moldy dishes.
Her computer is turned off.
Please leave a message after the beep!
eclipseMemberShe means she has “what to give over”and is wondering why the forum of shiur-giving seems to be closed for her.The answer is IT’S NOT CLOSED.
eclipseMemberIf you are single, you can advertise a shiur.Nothing wrong with “breaking the mold”and leading the way!Hatzlacha,my dear.Or as the world says:”YOU GO,GIRL!”
eclipseMemberAries and Blinky…when we remember not to judge ,we automatically get angry less.Less anger, less loshon horah.
Chesedname, I find that catchy slogans help me– and others.
For example,to not judge:Know…that you don’t know!
Not to get angry:Feel it–don’t reveal it.
Not to say loshon hora:Think twice! Is it nice?
Personally,I’m gonna work on the “feel it,don’t reveal it”, in honor of my mother’s upcoming yahrtzeit.
Thank you for the “push” to do it!
November 30, 2010 7:06 pm at 7:06 pm in reply to: How important in loyalty when it comes to a shidduch? #714150eclipseMemberOhhhh.Okay sorry,I didn’t chap.I hope you’re not girl #1 or #2 in this story.and if you’re in the reverse dilemma and some guy just got outa the freezer or something,i imagine all the same principles apply.
eclipseMemberHealth,my friends keep telling me that. I compliment others freely and sincerely(thus, the thread I started) but I do tend to make jokes at my OWN expense!
Mods?I am hereby changing my username to “8cow wife”–wait, make that 20cows.joking.If I was thin that would be funny, but since I’m not—oops!there I go again!see how hard it is to break a habit?

eclipseMemberI REQUESTED 3 TIMES TO CHANGE MY SCREEN NAME…why did no “rep” get back to me shortly”?
eclipseMemberI tried moving out of this community but “shining ex” called my rov and threatened trouble(which he has proven quite capable of)…as far as Garden of Emunah,it is excellent.so is the new book “forest fieds” about talking to Hashem in plain English…thank you everyone.
eclipseMemberI don’t know if I would go so far as to make a kiddush….I would want the truth to come out and the actual perps to get what’s comiing to them, butI would not celebrate the tragedy of a child’s death, chas v’sholom.
eclipseMember(sigh)and when i fiiiiinallly got my “get”i was advised to be moichel the kesubah….they knew i was so happy to get it i didn’t know or care…guess i was a “one cow”wife!

November 29, 2010 8:50 pm at 8:50 pm in reply to: How important in loyalty when it comes to a shidduch? #714114eclipseMemberWow,that is a heavy shayla.Perhaps someone like Rebitzen Esther Jungreis could guide you. My guess is that if you are always gonna tell yourself “coulda, woulda, shoulda”if you stay with girl #2,it’s not gonna be so simple….
eclipseMemberI am looking into some of the suggested options, others are not a choice for me.Either way,I really appreciate the encouragement.
eclipseMemberWell, that’s the end of that family! No one left to gossip about!
eclipseMemberMy 2 oldest are in bais medrash. They don’t need it until they have to start dating.
eclipseMemberThe best coping skill is a genuine smile, tasteful jokes, and looking like you have it all together. It simply doesn’t lend itself to pitying glances.Later, you can go home and cry if you need to.Only later!
eclipseMember2 frenchmen were buying flowers for their wives.one said,if i forget her birthday,i’m fried!the other one said:if i forget our anniversary,i’m toast!
eclipseMemberthank you everyone.(ahem, mod, for the 3rd time)
eclipseMembertime to start a new game!
eclipseMemberkol hamalbin es pnei chaveiro b’rabim ki’eeloo horgo. i was once so humiliated i actually felt the color draining from my face.
eclipseMemberyou know the expression”whatever doesn’t kill you,makes you stronger”…
eclipseMemberHashem has given us all gifts together with our challenges.I think simchas hachaim/sense of humor/bounce-back power…is the greatest gift Hashem has given me.He knows better than anyone how much I appreciate its contribition to my survival!
eclipseMemberhashem is there for us,always dependable.the more we believe it,the more empowered we are to keep going.
eclipseMemberIt was in the baby’s snow suit. They found it at the airport.
eclipseMemberaries,i knew you would have comforting words.as far as supplying references,i provide the references with calm confidence—but they talk to their own people (not in addition to my names–instead!)
eclipseMemberguaranteed to keep the kids busy for hours and hours(re:the box)
eclipseMemberi used to be in awe of every “rabbi”ANYBODY….until I was hurt by a whole bunch of them…if I don’t believe rumors about people and they do…who’s more title-worthy,me or them?i still have awe for a select few whose sincere support mamesh keeps me hopeful and strong, but, boy are they a minority!
eclipseMemberit’s true that those who hurt are temporarily empowered by hashem, and the moment our suffering is meant to end, those forces will be “de-activated”.but those messengers do have free will, and will be 100% accountable for being the “candidates” for the”job”of causing pain to others.
eclipseMemberno i just had nothing intelligent to add and i was bored….
eclipseMemberthat’s actually funny!!
eclipseMemberREWARD FOR MISSING GRANDMOTHER:ONE MILLION DOLLARS!!
eclipseMembercan you provide the mikor so it can be looked up?the shoresh is elusive.

eclipseMembermy mother a”h sang that song to us and since it’s kind of a mesorah for me,i accept her musical version as well as the context in which it was explained.i meant how did you access the website you used as the source?
eclipseMemberthank you everyone for responding to my thread!really, you are all amazing!you did a wonderful job!look how much one learns from the other!you should all be so proud!i must commend all the posters for the wonderful middos portrayed in each—-
i think that’s what b.b.m. and shimmel mean.
eclipseMemberok, that is tough to elaborate on!so one last rumor-starter here:
“Don’t tell anyone, but the neighbors …Sh…there is a really crazy story about them….”
(the point here is that the L.H. stories get even worse as they travel from one gossiper to the next,as this thread has twice proven)
eclipseMemberscissor-happy
November 28, 2010 2:51 am at 2:51 am in reply to: Shidduchim, What do boys look for in a girl? #712748eclipseMembermod80,i had a good reply to you but it got nixed.
eclipseMemberthe whole title means zero today:the result of ridiculous overuse.
eclipseMemberfrom the story of chanukah we should be reminded that even if the yeshuah we need seems impossible(it keeps eluding us)hashem can perform a miracle for anyone at anytime REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE “ODDS” ARE and how many obstacles appear to be stacked against him.the more we verbalize that aloud, the more we will begin to feel it.
eclipseMemberi never had full hatzlacha with any project wher “b’di’eved”was relied upon.and i have been involved in countless projects over the years.on the other hand…i have seen tremendous results where every single thing is handled in a way that is 100%l’chatchila.THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING.
eclipseMemberAction!….Cut!
eclipseMember1.he must have thought he was going to die then–please have someone translate the lyrics for you.
2.what is the name of that website?my son found the music for a nigun in a sefer and would love to know the tune(it’s in musical notes)
3.the way they sing it is not 100%accurate–the actual tune is even nicer.
eclipseMemberHarvey goes to Bais Yosaif/Novardok.He even learns with his feet in a bucket of ice-cold water to stay awake.
Now he’s going out with Chana Cornbagel.
