Now you see why it’s traumatic?
Proper grammar and realistic dialogue are my 2 writing strengths, and they were compromised by an obviously amateur editor. This occurred AFTER I’D APPROVED the galleys,so I only saw the mortifying changes AFTER 5000 COPIES were printed.
So we must give authors the benefit of the doubt:).

eclipseMemberDouble your garbage bags, or use heavy-duty black ones.
eclipseMemberA worm enters an apple in a soft spot.
Facebook crept in, now Instagram is creeping in.
By the time people recognize the pitfalls, the apple has been pervaded.
eclipseMemberThank you, Little Froggie.
Gosh, I never called anyone a frog before, it feels strange:)
eclipseMemberWhat is a troll? I still don’t get that. Someone who reads but doesn’t post often? Is that bad?
October 23, 2013 5:59 am at 5:59 am in reply to: What are the hottest and most active threads in the YWN coffee room? #981862eclipseMemberShopping: Experiment, see what happens.
For example, a thread like “Women are idiots” started by a man, and “Men are fools” started by a woman will get lots of posts, but you may lose your credibility for the future.
Question posts like “How much balsamic vinegar should I put in a craisin-tomato-pistachio-ice cream salad?” will draw women who like exotic recipes.
“About….do I shudder” will probably be ignored.
“Helllllllppppppp!” will get noticed, but only those who can help you will post.
“Thank you, Mods!!!!” will for sure get read by all the Mods.
So, go for it, Shopping:)
eclipseMemberLittle Froggie: No:) Just don’t want to be impersonated if possible! Hope no one confused us, and the similarity was coincidental.

October 18, 2013 7:27 pm at 7:27 pm in reply to: Guy who knows everything here; ask me anything #1215198eclipseMemberQuestions:
1.Why do people get offended by “iy”h by you”? I try not to say it because it became “taboo” but I don’t truly get why it should make people angry.
2.Why do people tend to believe dishonest people more often than honest people?
3.Why don’t people say Tehillim on Shabbos? It’s the most relaxing time to say it.
eclipseMembercute:)

eclipseMemberoomis- that is adorable!
eclipseMemberikno, I think I know what you mean.
It’s not fair when the one trying to do what’s right gets the least acknowledgement and suffers from the breaches of others. You need to spend as much time as possible with people similar to yourself, in order to get strength and support for yourself. Then, when you are in these situations you can shrug it off more easily.
eclipseMemberWIY, I believe this is your department?
eclipseMemberThank you, everyone. Oh Shreck, you post much less, give yourself credit.
eclipseMemberMiele?
eclipseMemberI thought the poster was Israeli ’cause that’s how it sounds (kind of) when they pronounce it.
eclipseMemberEveryone: Mine.
eclipseMemberBookworm: Really? I was trying to re-create my childhood Sukkos memories, but I don’t remember the needles. Maybe Canadian trees are less abrasive:)
eclipseMemberOh Shreck: Thanks! (You sound like Hashem – lhavdil bein Hashem l-you -on Shmini Atzeres)
By the way, did anyone ever not yell the words “Oh Shreck!”?
