There will always challenges in life, but CRISES (plural for crisis) DO PASS!
eclipseMemberForgive me for asking, but what practical good is being accomplished from this discussion? If there is a true lesson here, I have missed it.
eclipseMemberI just learned (daily 2 halochos of Shmiras Haloshon) that loshon hora is forbidden even without mentioning names because it’s often possible for some people to figure out who the subject is.
What a nightmare….
I’ve had guests that broke chairs due to weight….I felt sincere compassion for their shame and told both of them “the chair was broken anyway” or something to that effect.

eclipseMemberJudaism, faith, and recovering from illness. Statistics abound on the connection between patients with faith (even non-Jews) and their healing as opposed to patients with nothing to hold on to.

Oh, I know!! Really cool BEDS that vibrate until everyone tumbles (safely) out of bed in the morning, on time. No snooze button whatsoever. And in the evenings, a powerful magnetic field within these same cool BEDS pulls each child into bed, right on schedule.
Right now, the magnets work in the morning…..:)

October 25, 2013 4:33 am at 4:33 am in reply to: How to deal with someone embarrassing you in public #982892eclipseMemberI was publicly shamed in the past as well, but never stooped to revenge, and b”h, these memories become blurrier over time. The embarrassment will never completely disappear, but look at it this way: we can’t get gehinnom twice, so hopefully, we were yotzay!
eclipseMemberThanks Little Froggie and Goq but I meant actually acting in a play or film (I have written/directed – but not been in it myself since high school), it’s very enjoyable.
I also love Improv (no lines to remember) and have run such workshops for kids and adults.
But being in charge, you don’t really get to actually act.
Anyway, Goq, as a single mom I’m no longer appreciated by some family members either, but certain super-duper friends have become as close to me as family, in lieu of those individuals. I am sure you have discovered that antidote as well, correct?
eclipseMemberLAB: When people asked me if my ex was “unwell” I said, it’s called BAD MIDOS-ITIS.
eclipseMemberbecause you verbalize a positive interpretation, so you can celebrate the good outcome.
