Perhaps you are not aware of the many Rabbanim who give heterim to men working in the corporate world to shave during sefirah…

If you’re the type of girl whose husband (or, if unmarried, father) goes aroud in jeans, you probably will wear wear jeans. If you’re the type of girl who doesn’t appreciate your husband in jeans, you wont wear jeans.

I, along with many of my friends, wear jean skirts while our fathers, brothers, and husbands don’t wear jeans.

My brother told me that according to his Rebbi, one cannot shave on Thursday night. I’m trying to understand this though since Friday would be the same day…

I won’t get into the discussion that I don’t think it’s so terrible to talk to the opposite gender, let alone your neighbor. But despite that as gavra mentioned, there are only 3 weeks left. What was done can damage a lifetime.

aries: The entire class (and countless others in the school) can be at risk of severe negative influence if a student who engages in highly inappropriate actions is allowed to remain in class.

A suggestion… Read Cliff Notes on two books including character analysis, etc and you should be more than fine.

I just found this on the OU website:

Do oreo cookies contain any dairy ingredients?

At this time, the Original Oreo sandwich cookie and Double Stuf sandwich cookie (and ONLY those products) do not directly contain dairy ingredients but are manufactured on dairy equipment. Please bear in mind, however, that the very nature of the OU-D certification denotes that we do not assume any responsibility for the cleanup or for any leftover traces of dairy on the machinery. This is one reason that the OU does not utilize a D.E. designation.

Please also bear in mind that Nabisco has the legal right to switch the formula to dairy at any time of their choosing, for which the OU also assumes no responsibility. You should periodically check with O.U. and not rely on the ingredient panel on the label.

Since I don’t eat dairy equipment I guess I still can’t have them. Oh well. You sure did get my hopes up though 🙂

what has this world come to?

Someone called me recently for shidduch info about a boy & wanted to know if he wears a black hat. I said that he does not. Not even on Shabbos? No, not even on Shabbos. Well, would he be willing to put on a hat for a date?

    Huh?

    Wow. Just wow.

I should have added the disclaimer that I dress rather conservatively. I also love open toe shoes and think they look awesome with red toes but sadly I wouldn’t go outside like that. I always wanna try out the funky styles so I end up wearing them for pjs! You know the oversized top with leggings look? I wear that to bed sometimes 🙂

I used to NEVER shop there until I went once and bought TONS!! I love the Jersey Gardens store.

    Sacrilege

The problem with me and department stores is that I first head to the shoes, then to the bags, and then I don’t have patience to look for clothes! But I recently started shopping from those places online.

Smart to give business to someone Jewish. Usually even with the hems down they’re not long enough and you can’t always add…

I love shirt dresses! I actually ordered one which came today! I still need shoes to go with it but after that I have an outfit!

I don’t always find things in H&M…maybe we should go together someday 🙂

BCBG has lots of dresses but I’m tall so they’re usually short on me.

Fox’s is a total hit or miss in my experience. And I totally agree about the dressing room!!

I’m never really downtown but next time I’m there I’ll check out Evyette.

Thanks for the answers…I knew I could count on you 🙂

And when all else fails, you could always shop!

Shopping is what I usually end up doing. I think I should find a cheaper hobby lol

A few people mentioned being stuck with a family who doesn’t want you. I know a boy’s family who didn’t want the girl. I mean really really didn’t want her. It was redt lots of times, they went out on and off and eventually got married. The family loves her now. I’m not saying this will always be the case but it could happen.
