I usually take leftovers from the night before.

Protein and fiber are what’s filling.

Think fish, whole whet pasta dishes, potatoes and eggs, chicken and potatoes, leftover burgers, etc.

I wasn’t raised in a religious home, as you’d understand it. I just couldn’t give it up. For people never raised with it, that’s a different story. I would not encourage anyone to go out and get it, due to the schmutz.

I have family members that intermarried. They celebrate the 25th. We do get together. We have a bagel breakfast in the morning, we go to eat kosher Chinese food at night, we will go to a movie, etc. I asked my rav, and he said that it is actually a mitzvah for me to do this so that they can still feel as if the religious part of the family loves them and cares for them.To their credit, while the kids aren’t actually Jews al pi halacha, they love when we come. They come to shabbos meals by us and we have sedarim (we go to a communal seder together on the 2nd night), they usually come on CHM sukkos to have a meal in the sukkah together, we have chanukah together one night. Some of the kids, if there’s an interest, may get involved in Judaism and convert later on. We were told by our rav that this is praiseworthy.

In the case of Jesus, he was wicked because he was a false messiah, and he did horrible things. He cursed people, disrespected his mother, and called a Samaritan woman a dog.

    1) He needs to stay true to his promises. A Trump administration should seek to reopen criminal investigations against Clinton and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.

    2) Recommendations for whom should be in the Cabinet

Chris Christie needs to be kept out. He has too many issues of his own with BridgeGate.

Sheriff David Clarke would make a great Homeland Security Head.

    Rudy Giuliani as Attorney General.

Professor Carol Swain should be czar of urban affairs, and the black pastors who endorsed Trump should be part of HUD. Very important for there to be black leadership against BLM. Darryl Glenn, who ran for Senate in CO as a Republican, should be part of this effort to turn around our urban communities, as Trump has promised. Diamond and Silk, and Omarosa should be in the administration, too.

John Bolton as Secretary of State

    Treasury: Jeb Hensarling

The 300 economists who warned against a Hillary presidency should be tapped to be part of the “brain trust” of economic advisers

Rabbi Lookstein should be offered an advisory position, as should Rav Bleich, and the roshei yeshiva who told their talmidim to vote for Trump. This would be a nice inclusive gesture. Along with some Orthodox rabbinic leaders, we know Dov Greenblatt, Michael Cohen, and David Friedman will be in charge of Israel policy.

    Press Secretary: Hope Hicks

    Interior: Sarah Palin

    Commerce: Carl Icahn

    Labor: Victoria Lipnic

    Surgeon General: Ben Carson

    Defense: Jeff Sessions

    VA: Michael Flynn

    Chief of Staff: Kellyanne Conway

Islamic Affairs: M. Zuhdi Jasser and Ayaan Hirsi Ali

Yeshu was a wicked person. See Gittin 57A in the Talmud.

Speak to an Orthodox rabbi about what is permissible for someone in your situation. Perhaps you could be with your family on December 25th and not participate in any religious observances. You need the guidance of a competent rabbi.

Rav Pam,xt”l, and I think also Rav Yaakov Kamenetzky, zt”l, gave candy out on October 31st. They, of course, did the right thing and had the right attitude.

When people ask me, I say that for religious reasons, I don’t celebrate it, but that we happily give candy to the children who come by. We turn off our lights, leave a bowl of candy outside, and let whoever wants to take, take. There’s nothing in halacha against being a good neighbor and a pleasant person.

I know a rav who told a girl on a very high madreiga that she should marry a ger because she gets extra schar for having his children, cooking and cleaning for him, etc., but that if she fails to be a good wife, than she gets onesh.

I don’t know who either of you are, but this just wasn’t meant to be. Think of it this way, as a rachmanus. There’s a lo sa’aseh of innui hager. If you fail to honor a ger and love them and be kind to them, you’re being over on an issur d’oraisa. So if you married this guy, chances are that you would have had milchamos and you would have been over on this lo sa’aseh. So it was a rachmanus for you.

I got an initial set for $15, including rings and the holder, on 13 Avenue.

I bought aravos for $3 a pack from the same vendor, and purchased 6 packs, since they dry out. Also paid $5 for hoshanos.

I know what the teacher unions and liberal curriculum and common core are all about. Teacher unions are an activist arm of the DNC. Sadly, too many Jews succumbed to communism and continue to replace yiddishkeit with socialism, bolshevism, and the like, r”l. Kiruv is needed to get them away from Killary and towards HKBH and Torah.

I never understood why religious people would teach in public schools.

Public schools are full of pritzus, immorality, foul language/nivul peh, and ideals against torah abound, whether it be sex ed, evilution, homosexuality, trannies, etc. These non-Jewish kids don’t want to be taught by frum Jews. And by the same token, it’s kind of hypocritical to teach in schools you wouldn’t send your own kids to.

I liked Ben Carson and thought that him and Trump were very similar. Ben Carson is a chasid me’umos ha’olam, a devout man, a godly man, and a scholar and leader in his field, pediatric neurosurgery. He should run in 2024.

yehudayona sounds like a real dyed in the wool liberal. If you’re not for the GOP, you’re for Killary. It’s that cut and dry; there can be zero compromise on this issue. Carson didn’t lose the primary due to racism; he lost it due to the fact that he lacked the charisma and pizzazz of Trump.

There are dozens of African Americans involved in GOP efforts in inner cities. Ramona Johnson is running against Helene Weinstein for NYS Assembly. Here’s the case of a conservative, charismatic, and visionary African American woman running on the Republican line. She’s faced racism and discrimination from Sheepshead Bites and some Facebook groups because she throws a wrench in the commie liberal narrative that Republicans are old rich white guys. And yet, sadly, she’ll lose due to the racist narrative that undergirds white establishment progressivism (white liberals have nothing but condescension and veiled disdain for people of color), and NOT due to alleged racism in the GOP, the same party that freed the slaves.

Yad L’AChim is for Jews who get caught up in non-Jewish religions, such as various Xtian missionary groups and the like (JFJ, Messianics, Mormons, JW, SDA, etc.)

Modern definitions of “cult” could easily include any religion where you ask the leader (rebbe) to know what to do for life decisions, where your diet and dress are strictly controlled, what you can read and watch is controlled, etc. We should be slow to throw that term at others.

But there are scores of people on the dole who are bilking taxpayers. I bust my hump and pay taxes. I don’t rely on others.

Since when is being reliant on others Jewish? The Rambam says that self-sufficiency is the highest madreiga of tzedaka. We say in bentching that we shouldn’t come to rely on anyone else. And the gemara in Sanhedrin, chof vav, says that a moocher by the goyim is an ochel davar acher.
