When I was a kid, I walked to school uphill both ways in the snow, with no shoes or jacket.

When I was a kid, we were too poor to have snow. We had to pretend there was snow by walking slowly.

The Democratically controlled Federal Government intentionally caused the high prices and is continuing to make them higher. The only way it will stop is to return control of Congress and the Presidency to the Republican party.

Thought experiment: what would have happened if BLM and Antifa rioters had attacked the Capitol in similar fashion?

It would have been called a “peaceful protest.”

Once I asked a rabbi a related question, and he replied that there’s nothing wrong with wealth so long as you acknowledge that it comes from Hashem. I guess you could twist that around and say that if you’re wealthy, Hashem must approve of you; otherwise, you wouldn’t be wealthy.

Most people use holidays such as Memorial Day to engage in fun activities. I don’t understand how that honors veterans.

    A shortage in baby formula.

This is in line with the leftists’ agenda and methodology.

They hate fossil fuel, so they stop development of pipelines and oil drilling, and make the prices high to discourage people from using fossil fuel.

They want unrestricted abortion-on-demand, so they create a baby formula shortage to make babies impractical so that people will be motivated to kill them.

There have been plenty of totalitarian regimes that actively tried to limit free speech that are/were not Communist, the Third Reich for example…they actively persecuted Communists,

So the Democratic Party is like the nazis, rather than the communists?

The Biden Administration is not one and the same as the Democratic Party.

And it’s only a coincidence that Biden was their candidate?

Guess it doesn’t serve as the public town square in my town.

I don’t have a Twitter account. Once in a while I’ll read a “tweet” that’s referenced in a news article.

The issue is whether Twitter has a significant effect on national/state/local elections or governmental decision making, directly or indirectly.

With Elon closing in on acquiring all of twitter, how will Democrats deal with losing their biggest and most powerful propaganda weapon?

They’ll attempt to “cancel” Twitter. The leftist media will ignore it, ridicule anyone who uses it, and use all their influence to get people to use a different place for expressing their deranged viewpoints.

Which political party uses the term “peaceful protest” to describe rioting, looting, burning and other mob violence?

Which political party lets violent criminals out of prison because cash bail is “unfair” to poor people?

Which political party supports “defunding” the police?

Which political party considers it racist if the proportion of black people arrested is greater than the number of white people arrested, even though black people commit far more crimes of violence than white people?

    Etc.

“If Trump and DeSantis both run…”

That would be a tough decision. As a Florida resident, I think DeSantis is an outstanding Governor and I wouldn’t want to lose him. But assuming that he’s re-elected as Governor in 2022, then being elected as President in 2024 would only affect the last two years of his second term as Governor. He couldn’t serve a third consecutive term.

I fully support Trump. I voted for him in 2020, and I would vote for him in the future. He’s was the best President the U.S. has had in a long time.

But if the mobs of ignorant, irrational Trump-haters are keeping the Democrats in power, maybe Trump should step aside and turn the reins of the Republican party over to someone else who’s more palatable to the voters.

“It is a democracy since people are the deciding factor as to which party should be in control.”

Also, that assumes that elections are fair and impartial. That’s not the case when voters are not required to properly identify themselves as registered voters when casting ballots. That’s not the case when ballots are mass-mailed to the population and insufficient measures are taken to authenticate the ballots. And that’s not the case when millions of illegal aliens are dumped into the country and allowed to vote (which is the Democrats’ obvious goal).

One party is using mainstream news organizations and social media to spread misinformation, suppress facts and opinions they don’t like, and intimidate people who disagree with them.

    @CTLAWYER

Is there a limit to the number of times a Vice President can be elected?

    Hypothetical scenario:

A person is elected as VP. Six months into his term, the President dies, and the VP becomes President for the remainder of the term.

Then another candidate is elected as President along with the SAME Vice President. Again, the President dies after six months, and the VP becomes President again.

Could that weird scenario repeat indefinitely (until the VP succumbs to old age)?

I think you’ll find it was filthy treasonist Republicans who stormed the Capitol in the January 6th insurrection

That was a direct result of the filthy treasonist Democrats who work in the Capitol aiding and abetting violent criminals in the streets all over the country, and teaching them to hate and rebel against law enforcement officers.

I learned that the hard way. Fortunately, I was able to prevent the s’chach from being destroyed by quickly poking holes in the tarp with a knife. 🙂
