Everyone compromises, the key is to realize that you aren’t really compromising. You are finding someone to share your life with and be boneh a bayis neeman, b’eh. Isn’t that worth a little compromise. No one is perfect!
Divorced_GuyMemberHow young can I guy date? There is supposed to be a the rule of thumb. It goes like this. A guy can date a girl half his age plus 7; so an 22 year old can date a 19 year old, a 28 year old can date a 21 year old and a 36 year old can date a 25 year old.

I don’t get this whole attitude. What does it mean that the girls surpass the guy’s quality. You are comparing apples and oranges. How can you say the guys are getting the better end of the deal. Whatever the “market” is reality. It’s not better or worse.
I am in my early 40’s and there are plenty of women whom I would like to date who have no interest in dating me. That’s life. But I certainly don’t think that guys are always getting the better part of the deal in shidduchim.
Divorced_GuyMemberWhat about for older singles. How do they feel about it? It seems to me that with the shidduch crisis and the difficulty in finding guys to date that women should be more open about age gaps. Are they?
