    Hi Chaim37,

You probably remember me. I had a meal in your home this past Shemini Atzeres, and I’m pretty convinced into making the move. Thanks so much for inviting us. Woodridge is a beautiful community and I think the benefits are well worth the trip. I see no rationale for spending literally triple the housing costs for a cramped space in Brooklyn.

I think anyone who knows David Storobin knows he will do the better job.

There is nothing to gain by not voting, and the propaganda on both sides is confusing. Both claim that they’ll get the taxes and funding that the community needs. Just for record -Storobin never lied. The ywn article is very misleading. I’m glad that I’ve met both candidates, and i think anyone who does the same wouldnt have any of these doubts. David Storobin is a pleasant, optimistic, and honest young man. Fidler seems arrogant, self entitled, and gives a negative politician vibe. Ill place my bets with the former.

Fidler feels he’s entitled to this seat, and I’m relying on the community to prove him wrong.

What makes Storobin different is that he’s not a politician. That’s what Fidler is so afraid of.

Blindly supporting who? I think their last article was paid for by Lew Fidler. I personally know David, and I can testify that he is a mentch. The opposite can be said for Lew Fidler. I think it’s disgusting the way the Fidler campaign started with dirty mud flinging, and I blame them for every piece of junk mail from both sides. There is no reason the campaign had to turn so ugly.

I understand that such topics are not the typical 13 year old’s choice of conversation, but I don’t see a reason to go into hysterics about our sheltered children being “exposed” to such things, especially a budding teenager. I don’t see the harm in their partaking in adult conversation. After all, they’re almost there!Kids are not underpriveleged citizens. They have valid perspectives that deserve the right to be expressed, not repressed only to force them to find their podium in a more liberal arena. I vouch for freedom of speech for kids, while acknowledging the freedom of press of the moderator of this forum to enact a discriminatory age requirement.

This discussion, from the start, is deeply upsetting. What goal is edc trying to reach by banning any differing voices? Doesn’t anyone have the gumtion to stick to their own opinions without banning diverse objectives? Come on! Is your frumkeit so weak that that the terror of hearing others’ takes on the topic is enough to shake your own ideals? Do you take another’s logic as a threat to your own hashkafos? Kicking them out of the forum is a move of cowardice, and if it’s trying to prove any point at all, it’s giving legitimacy to their “dissenting” perspectives. I’m not that familiar with the ideas of many of the blacklisted members, but I’ve often been impressed with their intelligent and well articulated posts. Nor would I venture to say that they’re professing a “frei” lifestyle! Their logical take on things may be somewhat daunting for unchallenged minds that are accustomed to the habit of “shtipping” away any ideas that are a threat to their way of thinking….a threat to their emuna, a threat to the rationale of their lifestyle. Besides for being intellectually unethical and immature, it shows a sad weakness of the frum community, a lack of confidence in dvar Hashem, a queasy attitude towards the foundations of our way of life.
