– Some cholent in the pot and a kugel nice and hot, oh! makes me warm inside!

– *yiddish* Chicken

You speak for the human race on a whole. I don’t. I speak for myself, and I think individuals should be judged individually. Making general judgements based on individuals opens up us Jews as a group to be blamed entirely by secular society for the perceived misdeeds of a few – OH WAIT, we already are.
June 9, 2015 7:28 pm at 7:28 pm in reply to: The real reason for the ban against chassidish women driving? #1086786DikDukDuckParticipantBanning women from driving is ridiculous.
DikDukDuckParticipantWhat if we’re all a brain in a jar?
DikDukDuckParticipant@coffee addict: They exist. After the charlie hebdo attack there were plenty of Muslim persons coming out on social media condemning the extremists. There was also that “peace ring” of 20 Muslims. (or 20 thousand according to stupid media)
DikDukDuckParticipant@nfsgo3: I’m interested.
DikDukDuckParticipantUnited States of America is founded on civil liberties, such as freedom for us as Jews to practice Judaism or other persons to practice whatever religion they want or not.
Many control freak christians don’t understand that America is not supposed to be aligned with any religion, or it wouldn’t be America anymore. That’s why there was a recent attempt to make christianity the “official religion of America”, which fortunately failed. Conversely, for whatever reason, lib control freaks want Islam to be the official religion of the world.
May 5, 2015 4:48 am at 4:48 am in reply to: Should the wishes of racist parents that I not date their child be respected? #1076305DikDukDuckParticipantI’m unattracted to racist people, so I wouldn’t want these parents to be my in-laws. It’s their loss to not have you in their family, and their attitude sounds like enough indication that it’s probably best for you to not have them in your family either.
DikDukDuckParticipantMaybe it’s a matter of *Names have been changed.
And maybe the Yetzer Hara has a Yetzer Hatov preventing him from doing his job.
DikDukDuckParticipantI have very many small bumps covering my upper arms with hair sticking out of them. I think they are called goosebumps.
DikDukDuckParticipantUnsummable.
April 13, 2015 5:48 am at 5:48 am in reply to: Why it Takes Some People a Year or Two To Comment on a Thread #1215847DikDukDuckParticipantSome forums enforce a rule against thread bumping, but evidently the coffee room doesn’t.
Also old stuff can stay relevant forever. Old threads = tradition.
DikDukDuckParticipantIt’s car horn time.
DikDukDuckParticipantHaha!
DikDukDuckParticipantMy bad. The horrors of a forum without smileys!
DikDukDuckParticipantThe bus crashed because the guy was not there to save it.
DikDukDuckParticipantRemember:
Toieva is forbidden for us as Jews. I don’t think OUR Halacha applies to people who are not in OUR religion.
DikDukDuckParticipantThe Nazis didn’t differentiate between secular and religious. Anti-Semites don’t differentiate between secular and religious. Israel is supposed to be a country which isn’t anti-Semitic – as you said the gov is quite anti-religious, but anti-religious is not anti-Semitic. The gov likes their secular Jews very much.
DikDukDuckParticipantsirvoddmort
I don’t think you have to type with such a harsh tone because someone uses a different system than you.
showjoe
That is awesome.
DikDukDuckParticipantIsrael is supposed to be a country where the ruling power isn’t anti-semitic. For that reason alone Israel is a cool country.
OP, you have raised many points. Living in the State of Israel IS your choice. The people who live there know the physical risks, and it is their choice to live in them – or they ignore them.
DikDukDuckParticipantM/D/Y is as legitimate as D/M/Y. Can anyone agree on that?
DikDukDuckParticipantEggs are laid by chickens who hatched from eggs. We know that animals were created, but in what form?
DikDukDuckParticipantEven though this a two year old thread words of wisdom don’t age.
March 6, 2015 4:33 pm at 4:33 pm in reply to: Did Mordechai make a Chillul Hashem by breaking the law? #1063434DikDukDuckParticipantSo this is the infamous Joseph.
Didn’t Haman have an idolatrous pendant or something that Mordechai didn’t want to bow down to? After all, it is better to die to live in the next world than to live to die in the next world.
DikDukDuckParticipantThe Zionism we all know and love or not is a political matter.
DikDukDuckParticipantTo some liberalism means tolerating others different that oneself, which to some includes extremism. What needs to be realized are limits on how much extremism is too much extremism, and where that line is. As is the case with my father in a post-9/11 world, simply wearing a black hat and a beard (Jewish attire) can trigger peoples’ poorly tuned and hyper sensitive extremism detectors. 🙁
DikDukDuckParticipantThe way I understand it, the feminists of olde wanted civil rights that were deprived from them for being women, due to something known as gender discrimination, and they got them.
I believe the feminists of now want civil superiority over men which is gender discrimination, and evil. The word feminist is now an evil word as it has been tainted with evil.
November 23, 2014 7:22 am at 7:22 am in reply to: Does you also have ads for coffee on the CR? #1043318DikDukDuckParticipantFeeling tired, mopy, drowsy, or droopy when you’re trying to read the latest CR posts from lookingforsem, Randomex, ivory, RebYidd23, and every other last poster on every topic at this current moment in time that this coffee ad is being posted?
Just buy coffee. And drink it. Drink it all. Then buy some more.
This is a coffee ad.
November 18, 2014 5:10 pm at 5:10 pm in reply to: Life Under a Truck. A tale of broken mirrors, mangled bumpers, and other #1044409DikDukDuckParticipantYou can replace your bumper with a custom bumper also known as a big metal bar. Been there done that.
DikDukDuckParticipant“For goodness sakes”
….?
DikDukDuckParticipantDikDukDuckParticipantI heard that Bush was Gog.
I hear that Obama is Gog.
I will hear in 2016 that Hillary Clinton is Gog?
September 2, 2014 3:06 pm at 3:06 pm in reply to: Do people with Ruach HaKodesh exist today? #1031113DikDukDuckParticipantMaybe they are told through Ruach Hakodesh to keep their Ruach Hakodesh a secret?
DikDukDuckParticipantAs long as it’s not Petie’s Peanut Butter Pizza….
DikDukDuckParticipantThey’re Hamas… they don’t care.
August 24, 2014 4:00 pm at 4:00 pm in reply to: Overprotective Parents in the Brooklyn Jewish Community #1029429DikDukDuckParticipant@moramom @Goq
Better to be safe than to be sorry.
August 24, 2014 5:21 am at 5:21 am in reply to: Overprotective Parents in the Brooklyn Jewish Community #1029425DikDukDuckParticipantIMO parents can never be too protective. Honor your father and mother(‘s decisions.)
DikDukDuckParticipantOn satellite I saw a plane’s shadow over the ocean. I couldn’t find the plane though.
DikDukDuckParticipantSo… the chasson and the kalah should be separated? I thought they’re married.

July 7, 2014 2:38 pm at 2:38 pm in reply to: Does a parent have a right to break a computer bought by a child? #1022939DikDukDuckParticipantIf it’s in your house it’s under your jurisdiction.
DikDukDuckParticipantI’d be happy with a “Nuclear Duck” subtitle.
DikDukDuckParticipantNobody knows for sure how different things would be if Romney won, simply because he didn’t win. Either way I still bet the world would be a better place if Oveyma lost.
Our economy hasn’t gotten any better under Oveyma, as in it’s still getting worse. But no Oveyma supporter is going to admit that one of the reasons Oveyman became Pres still hasn’t been realized. Not to forget his administration has violated the Constitution on so many occasions with plenty of lies to go.
“[You can keep your health care.]”
Second Democrat Pres in a row to be deserving of impeachment.
DikDukDuckParticipantI like silly logic. I’m a duck.
June 24, 2014 10:47 pm at 10:47 pm in reply to: Is stealing food to survive pikuach nefesh? #1021465DikDukDuckParticipantWell we know that we should give up our lives instead of worshiping idols. Worshiping idols is one of the three cardinal sins, as is murder. Murder is a type of stealing, because if you kill someone you are stealing their life. So maybe you should give up your life instead of stealing.
HUGE STRAW MAN ARGUMENT HERE
June 20, 2014 2:43 am at 2:43 am in reply to: Some children/teens will not be accepted to a school next year. #1020939DikDukDuckParticipantHomeschool.
DikDukDuckParticipantI agree, the use of an internet is something that can cause harm, just like walking on a street. However you can avoid both, by simply not utilizing technology you don’t need. You don’t need a network connection. You also don’t need to walk on a street. Walk on a sidewalk instead.
Seriously though, the arguments or lack thereofs presented in this thread are silly.
DikDukDuckParticipantAren’t all Atlantic hurricanes named with female names?
DikDukDuckParticipantEver heard of a Jewish Duck?
