If not for that principle we could not remain religious in diaspora. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.
DikDukDuckParticipant15.6″ 16:9 is a horrible screen size, it is only a few mm taller than old 14.1″ 16:10.
The best screen size is 15.4″ 16:10.
Get 17.3″ if you really want a big screen. Only get 15.6″ if it is 1920×1080 or higher.
DikDukDuckParticipantIf you’re doing 3D or graphics work a Gaming Computer with its powerful 3D graphics might work out. You may also consider a Business Laptop, those have powerful processors and sometimes workstation 3D graphics. Business Laptops also have superior build quality, better construction, durability, and designs than normal or gaming laptops.
If you’re just doing office or internet work you don’t need powerful 3D graphics and the basic stuff will be fine.
DikDukDuckParticipantThere is a nice children’s book series about a boy called Gemara Kup.
DikDukDuckParticipantOpen “Orthodoxy” makes Modern Orthodox look like Chareidim.
DikDukDuckParticipantIn my opinion
Trump hasn’t performed well in any of the debates. In the second debate he did do a good job appearing gentlemanly by apologizing for his comments and giving Hillary praise.
By not performing well I mean Trump hasn’t presented his policies as clearly (more like not at all) as Hillary. Hillary obviously prepares for the debates beforehand as all her lines sound good and scripted – but Trump’s improvise-style seems to pull (or dumb down) the debate into a dimension Hillary didn’t prepare her. Trump didn’t leave her speechless much but he did elicit a lot of gawky expressions from her. Count how many times Hillary the professional smiled like an insulted teenager in an internet fight.
These are just my observations and frankly I don’t like either of them. I like Pence more than Kaine though.
DikDukDuckParticipantNo.
DikDukDuckParticipantI was told it marked gang territories.
DikDukDuckParticipantTrump may be the first president impeached in awhile.
DikDukDuckParticipantDon’t worry, whatever he wants Congress won’t let.
DikDukDuckParticipantzahavasdad: Around 1990 Ford stopped building squares. If it’s not a square it looks pretty modern and some people will see “Lincoln” and trigger their ayin hara.
I also don’t see anything impractical about such handbags.
DikDukDuckParticipantMaybe their Coach or Michael Kors bag or “luxury” items are simply practical. I know a jobless family of 6 who drive a Lincoln Town Car. Wanna know why? The parents understand the concepts of inexpensive, functional, and reliable transportation, which the Town Car provides.
The car is 23 years old by the way, so it’s hardly special anymore, but if all you can see is the luxury nameplate and not the context that’s all you need to judge what people should or should not have! Don’t forget price depreciation! Practical premiums of yesteryear get cheap fast.
DikDukDuckParticipantI used to think he had a chance at winning but I don’t think anyone will vote for him now. Trump supporters of the other religion will probably vote for Cruz.
Even if Trump wins I doubt Congress will let him do anything anyway.
DikDukDuckParticipantTurning away refugees is wrong in my opinion.
Bringing in terrorists is also wrong.
Blindly believing that no terrorists could infiltrate along with the masses and making up laws that weaken the USA’s border policy is wrong.
November 18, 2015 10:27 pm at 10:27 pm in reply to: Question for pro Israel/Zionism posters #1113092DikDukDuckParticipantOver the years, I’ve noticed that saying nothing at all can be as in/effective as saying something which is not necessarily in/effective either so I have no idea.
DikDukDuckParticipantThe Israeli government proudly advertises their state as the only liberal democratic state in the Middle East, which is why I call it an American state and not a Jewish state. Israel is the only country with truly modern ideals in the Middle East. Its mere existence as a modern democratic state is, actually I dunno how useful or beneficial it is, but it’s a nice thing. Israel should be called West in the Middle East.
DikDukDuckParticipantMazel Tov.
October 28, 2015 10:59 pm at 10:59 pm in reply to: 15yo Israeli sees vision of Gog and Magog war #1134392DikDukDuckParticipantI think it’s a hoax.
DikDukDuckParticipantI dunno.
DikDukDuckParticipantSo long as we’re expressing unbiased objective news: Don’t forget the Israeli who got stabbed by an Israeli because he thought he was an Arab.
There’s something crazy going on!
DikDukDuckParticipant147: Thanks, I will rephrase.
“Neturei karta” = ones that go to Palestinian rallies, go to Iran, hug Ahmadinejad, protest 5th Avenue Menora lightning, and protest Israel Day.
DikDukDuckParticipantThe Mossad?
DikDukDuckParticipantmw13: I have an amount of love reserved for any fellow Jew, even if I do not love him as much as I love other, not necessarily Jewish, people.
Do you love him?
DikDukDuckParticipant“Neturei karta” = ones that go to Palestinian rallies, go to Iran, and hug Ahmadinejad. Anyone who doesn’t do the above is not Neturei karta.
DikDukDuckParticipantOrder a curfew. Civilians inside, put soldiers on the streets. Soldiers can defend themselves better.
DikDukDuckParticipantPolitics and religion.
DikDukDuckParticipantIsrael is a touchy subject for liberals, since it’s hard to support a country perceived as oppressing its occupants, or should I say oppressing who it OCCUPIES, heheheh.
Also, being liberals, it wouldn’t be fair to go on and on about Israel without giving the same attention to every other American ally. Like, there are liberals who think in this silly way, for example, they can’t eat their favorite pizza without eating every other type of pizza too, just to be fair, and not oppress the other pizzas. If you ask me it’s just the immature among the left who think, or don’t think, like that. I’m sure there are some smart people in the left, just like I’m sure there are some smart conservatives.
DikDukDuckParticipantYou don’t have to marry him.
DikDukDuckParticipantI’d like to try it out, but otherwise 7 seems fine to me. (still miss the simplicity of XP)
DikDukDuckParticipantIt’d be cool if it were the Amish abstaining from sunglasses, but those Jews….
DikDukDuckParticipantBorn in USA, lived in the holy land for a bit, now back in USA until further notice.

August 19, 2015 10:00 pm at 10:00 pm in reply to: Shidduchim – overweight is the new poverty #1097365DikDukDuckParticipant“And another thing, directed to the males : ARE ALL OF YOU SO FIT AND TRIM??????? Or even well-groomed? Just sayin’… “
Yes, if you pick the right opinions.
DikDukDuckParticipantCulture and society don’t promote male beauty, so men with long hair probably wouldn’t feel the need to care about half the styling cares had by our society’s women.
Also is the three year a staple of being Jewish? because I don’t find it very practical (and two year old me doesn’t look good in a ponytail). It can be cute on little kids but I think the more hair a kid has flying around, the more prone he is to related accidents.
August 19, 2015 2:23 am at 2:23 am in reply to: I know it's not the type to ask, but how was? #1097324DikDukDuckParticipantIn time this generation will be the ones saying “Kids these days”. Respect for children is nonexistent.
DikDukDuckParticipantI’m worried that there is a sizable chance that my kinderlach will end up being short because of that. I’m not sure what to think since I wouldn’t want to spread any vertical challenges to others.
And it is possible to become not overweight, but current culture’s most favored method is not exactly in line with yiddishkeit (the gym).
DikDukDuckParticipantI like speed, which is only half the thrill of a wooden coaster and 1/10th the thrill of a modern coaster, so roller coasters aren’t really my thing. I’ve discovered I don’t like the feeling of falling.
DikDukDuckParticipantI’ve heard there are goyim who learn our Torah.
DikDukDuckParticipantIf we made things assur just because the goys did them we’d be pretty stuck, so I don’t like that logic.
DikDukDuckParticipantFor a long time Republican politicians have been elected on conservative votes, they’re trying to maintain that.
DikDukDuckParticipantI’ve gone to places frum Jews have never been before me and there is littering, so no, Jews do not litter any more than others. We’re supposed to litter less, since you know, the whole be a light unto the nations thing.
DikDukDuckParticipantI think I’m Jewish.
DikDukDuckParticipantI know some laptops (mine) have an external wifi switch which can enable/disable the wifi card depending on the switch’s position.

July 28, 2015 3:37 am at 3:37 am in reply to: The IRAN DEAL and THE LETTER TO KILL THE JEWS #1093893DikDukDuckParticipantSo who’s going to be Mordechai, Esther, and Charvona?
DikDukDuckParticipantUSA obviously. It’s not like they care about futility.
DikDukDuckParticipantWho doesn’t like flowers, I do and I am not women.
DikDukDuckParticipantThe Bakers Dozen. I enjoyed them very much as a kid.
DikDukDuckParticipantIf a brain is too closed it’ll suffocate.
And what Redleg said.
June 25, 2015 5:14 pm at 5:14 pm in reply to: A fellow Jew owes me money- what should I do? #1088966DikDukDuckParticipantIf a fellow Jew loaned you $2000 and you were supposed to pay him back six months ago you sound like the type who would have payed him back six months ago.
I suppose if something comes up and you urgently need $2000, guilt him into giving it back?
