Reba, I think you didn’t check ticket prices for a long time. For a family of four just the tickets will be at least $6-7k and then you still need apartment and food. But if one can aford it there is noting like succus in Yerusaleiyim.
Don’t try to fix them, it won’t work. Concentrate on youerself, make sure you don’t get draged down together with them. Be the best student/son/freind/sibling/employee and top of all eved hashem you can be and hopefully things will work out for you.

I started many threads that had no replies, on the other hand some of my threads had hundreds of replies and one of them is way past 2,000!! and still counting. So do I smell on some days and not on others? No, Sometimes even a very good topic falls of the page while other ones have more luck.
Talking about this weeks Mishpacha, The editorial was about parents who push their kids into high level yeshivos even if they are not cut out for it so that the family has a good name. I think the same problem is with the schools who push for a high level curriculum wich is fine but then expect everybody to achive top marks.

When teachers will stop acting like drill sargents in boothcamp, and start respecting each student for there own strengths and weaknesses it will be doable, until then many kids will continue to suffer for not fitting the exect mold of the schools cookie shape.

BTW, eating/not eating fish on pashach has more to do with the matzav of fish in that area. In places that were avalible live fish that didnt have a chashash chametz (due to alcohole in the mouth of the not live fish) they ate fish. Were that was not an option they ate “faltshe fish”.

Bein Hasdurim, as a general rule people should prepare the nices things for shabbos, but if its a question of nice dishes or a rasted mother its the latter not the former, the kids oineg shabbos is the parents talking and listening to them. The geusts oineg shabbos however is a nicely set table and elegantly served food.
