I agree, breaking up will make him drop any religious observence he still keeps and the kids will be exposed to that even if he is out of the house.

Whather its right or wrong, trying to be your husbands mashgiach never works, if anything it will push him farther away, do your thing – bentch with kavana and hopefully it will rub off on him (or at least at the children). My wife has a freind who went from a size 2 to a size 16 in one pregnency (she gained almost 60 pounds) in such a case you will want your husbands support in your afort to loose some of it, but more so you will want your husbands emotional support being that besides the wieght ishue she is in a volnerable state after having a baby.

On the other hand you need to know if he is realy rejecting you or if you have a complex about it. Sometimes a man can say something that from his point of view is an inocent comment not relizing that for his wife it hits on a raw nerve.
He has a right to help you, not to reject you.
Like any addiction you cant help that person until;
a) That person relizes they have a problem.
b) That person wants to do something about it.
Those two things usaly happen when that person hits the bottom, until then there is not much you can do besides driving yourself crazy. Make sure your freind knows that when she is ready to help herself you will be there to support her.

mommamia22 – You need to talk to a rav or marriege consler ASAP. Nobody should put you down for gaining ten pounds (not even 100 pounds) especialy not your own husband.
He did not get any garantee for you to stay slim but you got a kesubah garanteeing you that he will treat you “like every jewish man would”, the ishue you mentioned is the most basic a wife expects from a husband.
For those who said he can divorce you, a husband can decide to divorce is wife if he dosen’t like her (aldough for someone to dislike his wife for puting up ten pounds shows that he is very shallow) but as long he is married he has some Torah mandated obligations including but not limited to the above mentioned ishue.

How about “The Grill Guy”? Puting a picture of an oversized “Grill Guy” fliping hot burgers on your adds will surly make some people hungry… and that name should go well with a fast food take out store. (if you open something fancy then you need a more classy name).

There is a diference between someone who is insane and someone who is crazy. Obviously onyone who can do something so horrific is very sick, but that dosen’t mean he didn’t have control on what he was doing. Someone who is insane to the point of not being responsible for what he does is not able to keep a job, drive a car and apear as a regular member of sociaty.
The diference of a man and a boy, is the price of the toy!!
He is either a total psycopath or a heartless cold blooded killer who dosen’t even get shaken after doing something so horrible, he went to work the next day and acted totaly normal.
