haifagirl- i would also much more prefer going places myself, i have always been like that. but there is a limit to what can be done by yourself. theres shopping and sightseeing. and going for manicures which i love doing myself. i dont think its selfish.

deedeeluverMemberadorable, I think most people going on vacation like doing those things, that’s what i would love to do. the point of this thread though is that i cant do those things myself.

deedeeluverMembermewho- thank you. i will definitely look into those options, it sounds enjoyable to me.
you have a specific 3 hour boat ride in mind?
deedeeluverMemberIts going to happen that im “finding” new friends and then going on a mini vacation with them. it doesnt have to be a “vacation” either, i would just like to take a day off. the last time i took off from work was in the begining of the year. i love NYC, but not sure of things to do on my own.
deedeeluverMemberBudget isn’t really to big of an issue, but not spending a fortune either.
deedeeluverMemberThank you for all your help. I’m a young girl from new York area. Since I’m at the age where either my friends are married, in college or working it’s not working out with ANY of them. I wish I could go with a friend. Also, since I’m alone im not going anywhere over night or for a shabbos. I need ideas of things to do by day that can be done on my own and still have a good time.
