i would deffinetly say lord and taylor- huge selection
dancinggirlMemberum…welcome back dancinggirl!!!
dancinggirlMemberwow. i had this very question when i was in school. As someone who stopped doing many things (vid, books…etc) i always looked to the self made man as role models and those wonderful, sweet, naturally good people as great to be around, but not someone i would want to hear a shuir from. I always admired those who changed their lives, broke their taavos and bad middos. in my opinion, and what i hvae learnt in school, all Hashem wants is for us to try. If for you it is easy to be good and nice and sweet, youre mission is not to walk around thinking your perfect. you obviously have to TRY to work on something else. One thing i learned that struck me was that, i think the vilna goan had a photographic memory and knew the torah by heart, but studied around 20 hours a day because knowing it by memorization wasnt TRYING so he wouldnt get schar, so he worked on himself. itall depends on your level
dancinggirlMemberwow. this thread really took on a life of its own! thank you for saying thank you, i was actually told this thread would be reeeaallly nerdy to start, but, hey…

February 7, 2012 8:29 pm at 8:29 pm in reply to: Gourmet Glatt is finally opening (old Friedmans location 39th street) #850165dancinggirlMemberiv just been there and it is absolutely stuning! for those of you who said its pomegranite in bp, it certainl looks like it. Its set up extremely conveniently with amazing products (plus free coffee, cupcakes..:)) i would totlay go the extra to shop there. i hear the prices are supposed to be normal, not extreme discount because its a nice store. i also would not compare the two, theyre not competing with eachother, i actually heard they met and are working things out. please be careful about loshon hora on both stores as its bound to damage either.
dancinggirlMemberthis is so nice!
dancinggirlMemberits that she wanted him to return, so she killed another family member
dancinggirlMembermod 80. cud u tell me wats going on? i started this thread and wrote the riddle but its said topic closed! y didnt u let me post it and then write your own version which gave half of it away?
those of you who guesssed it right away, b4 the mods hint, it means you think like a killer (uh oh:))
i know its true cuz i got it right out of my entire extended family and i killed osama bin laden, so there!

dancinggirlMembercan i ask a simple question, mods? why when u create ur user name, rnt u given a space to write ur choice of subtitle in stead of begging u?
dancinggirlMemberiread an article in the family first b4 pesach about moshiach coming. i got so inspired from that, that i was smiling and longingfor moshiach the whole nite. the next day, when i got dressed, i thought “if moshiach would come right now, would i be comfertable about how i am dressed?”. this helped me every day as i look in the mirror before i leave the house. fixing my hair a little, changing my skirt…

April 27, 2011 4:32 pm at 4:32 pm in reply to: If you could live anywhere, where would you live? #891003dancinggirlMemberbored in office, im surprised you can say so blatant loshon harah! thts quite narrow minded to say that they are all fake. i dont live there (lkwd) but i know a LOT of ppl who are real and serve hashem with all their might. i dont know if u r just looking at a whole and judging or if u know personally, but im sorry if thts the impression u got because its completely wrong.

dancinggirlMemberi lovwe his shuirim! he says things noone else will say, in an honest, direct approach. he actually teaches you things but he is INTERESTING!
dancinggirlMemberi really like action thrillers. the will was amazing and so was the network. i have been saving the mexico file for pesach(Soooo excited!FINALLY something to read!) i like anything well written, though. since i ran out of books, i went historical like marcus lemans, avner gold, legacy of gold crocadile island…i find the older books are sooo well written, but i read them all by now…
dancinggirlMembercomposer, u sound veeeerrry familiar…when did u discover yeshivaworld? thru me? lol! everyone, her songs are famouse around the world, and she never earned a penny off it (she didnt mind)
dancinggirlMemberto make the world a better place….to influence peoples lives to torah, to teach…
dancinggirlMemberAlmost a family was by far the best done! it was well acted, filmed, entertaining…everything!
dancinggirlMemberi just watched it and really enjoyed it. i asked the guy at eichlers and he sed aderet made it, which is frum. also, they are all based on midrashim, albeit not such well known (snake coming out of fire), i also had a little discomfort watching it, but i think its ok. it happened to make the story much more real to me, not only a story from class
dancinggirlMemberi would reccomend maarava, its very sweet and fun
dancinggirlMemberhello!!! can everyone stop being so negative?
desired response: Wow! that is amazing! i am so proud to be a jew!
dancinggirlMemberi enjoy shticky guys sharp humor, and poppa bar abba

dancinggirlMemberreada great book
dancinggirlMemberi wud rather be how i am now socially, but be brilliant. its like that question “Wud u rather have the strength of a thousand athletes or the wisdom of a thousand scholars?” how cud strength compare to wisdom?
dancinggirlMemberHEY! i loooovvvee it! im up to level 9. my favorites are classical insanity and piano core. everyone, dont even try to brag abt how good u are, stuffed cabbage is AWESOME
April 5, 2011 7:37 pm at 7:37 pm in reply to: Especially good at clarifying "How do we know Hashem exists?" to a young adult #778410dancinggirlMemberRabbi mecanic specifically speaks abt this in hi “conversation with holywood’ it amazing and entertaining
dancinggirlMemberwolfmusings, u always have interesting input in th CR. maybe youre not letting that side out of u. you seem to be an intelligent, interesting person. Also, talents are not neccessesarily the obviouse ones (Singing, drawing, acting, blowing bubbles..:)) youre talent can be standing quietly on the side and absorbing info…you can notice things and remmember…there are endless facinating things that make ppl special out there. Think abt the CIA. there are the feild agents, who are strong fast and fearless. and then there are brilliant ppl behind the sceanes, analyzers, disguisers…get the picture?
dancinggirlMemberheres another
Where is happiness
that careless feeling
of being free?
it alludes me
throwing a teesing wave
then darting away.
but when
i do catch it,
it is wonderful
a blossoming rose
a blissful touch
an open door
filled with chances
hopes
dreams
visions of something better
what can be
what I can be
if ijust hold on
