    Dear oomis1105 and missme,

If, through Ruach HaKodesh,, you were told who “she” is, can you please contact Mod 80 and he will pass the info on to me. This will save me a lot of time, money, heartache, waiting, etc. I will even give you both Shadchunuss (and throw some in for 80 for his assistance…)

    I am awaiting your reply.

Supposedly they are very well written and researched and most readers find them very addicting.

Doc, did you ever read any of them?

musictomyears, I stayed up all night reading it using a light from a cell phone (and remember, Alf Shin is printed in smaller text then a regular book). I know, I’m crazy!

And yes, it is a very good book. Buy the Alef Shin/Ten Lost book. (Alef Shin by itself is out of print)

I think the CB trio that he mentioned, refers to 3 kids that sang by a wedding in Boro Park last week.

    Is that correct, d a?

If you read what I wrote,

    3. cb1’s younger two brothers (they sang beautifully at their uncle’s chasunah recently!)

you would see, I wrote cb1’s younger two brothers. I didn’t say anything about a CB trio

And no, the wedding was not last week…

tzippi, yes and the author is A.B. Yishai. It was a good read, but as I said above, the ending was obvious (to me, at least).

Another amazing book is Switched Identities- I forgot the author but it’s about the holocust.

I just finished reading it. But the whole time, I knew who Dan Nesher and Mr. Schwartz were. The end did not suprise me at all.

Hi guys! Your too funny! I did read TinTin, but I don’t like comics as good as a real good novel.

As for the Cat in the Hat, it’s too deep for me!

And yes, I try to read only Jewish books. Even though sometimes…I didn’t say anything….

dveykus613, I hear your second point, however, the music you are referring to was played by someone who worshiped Avodah Zaroh. Yes, such music (especially if it is used for the Avodah), even if thy are beautiful melodies can have a bad influence on people. But I hope none of our Jewish singers come even close to such tummah C”V.

I just heard a story that a lady was extremely ill and her husband played a certain beautiful song to her and she had a Refuah…

Hashem Is Truly Everywhere, do you use Google Voice(GV) a lot?

If you use GV from your cell, if you want to call someone from your GV number, you have to call your GV # then dial the other person’s #.

But if you tell someone to text you through your GV #, the text will come to your phone through a different # (like a 406 or 972 area code). And that # is your GV # for that person. So if you want to call or that person, you would call/text that # and it will go through and the other party will see your GV # as the caller ID.

Now, does anybody know how GV makes up these numbers? If I want to text someone through my GV #, I can’t unless they text me first. Is there a chesbon to the # or they are random?

    HennyK, here it is:

    Ride the Train

    Artist: Abie Rottenberg

    Album: Journeys 2

Come on and ride the train,

Step on board, take your ticket, no two are the same,

You’ll soon be going for a ride,

There’s nowhere to run, no place to hide,

You’re ridin’, ridin’, ridin’ on the train.

But you try to check you ticket,

And you don’t know what it means,

Will you get to sit on velvet and dine on fine cuisine.

Or is it your place to be upon a worn out wooden seat,

With a slice of old and crust bread,

    Your only food to eat.

Come on and ride the train,

The doors are closed, the whistle’s blowing,

    Now you must remain.

    The locomotive’s on a roll,

There’s just some things you can’t control,

You’re ridin’, ridin’, ridin’ on the train.

So you ask an older passenger,

‘How long will this ride be?’

He says, ‘Sorry son, I can’t say, there is no gaurentee.

It might be the next station, we’ll be there in no time.

    But maybe if you’re luckey,

You can stay till the end of the line.’

Then you take a walk all through the train,

Each box car one by one.

Most are filler with people saying, ‘This ride’s just for fun.

Why think about tomorrow, when you’ve got today instead?

    Sit back, enjoy the view,

There’s miles and miles or rail ahead.’

    Ride the train,

Come on, ride the train (x 2)

But one car seems so different,

    Inhabited by few,

Who say there is no time to waste, We’re only passing through.

The choices that you male today, are all that’s gonna last.

This train is moving down the track,

    And it’s moving awful fast.

Come on and ride the train,

Step on board, take your ticket, no two are the same,

You’ll soon be going for a ride,

There’s nowhere to run, no place to hide,

You’re ridin’, ridin’, ridin’ on the train.

P3 maven, when you teach your P3 kids, do you teach them how to write in lower-case? When you write in all upper-case, it looks like you are ‘screaming’ and some complain its harder to read. And no, I was not there.

Very reasonable guess. But how about a post on what d a stands for.

I already did previously. Here is what I said:

    d a

The ‘d’ stands for EDITED and the ‘a’ stands for EDITED.

I’m just kidding! It’s the initials of my initials. Whatever.
