    I got the

a = blue (which dosen’t seem to work with the new site [like everything else!])

    em = italics

    strong = bold

    blockquote =

    this

    SO what does code,

      ul

    ,

      ol

    ,

  • li
  • stand for?

What what does “You can also put code in between backtick ( ` ) characters.” mean??

boredstiff, I assume they had a pop-up ceiling. So how did the popcorn come down, unless they didn’t put the ceiling tile back on…

Just now, I saw the entire page but then after the page fully loaded, only 42’s post above can be seen. (I could still see all the ads including that dreary ad on the side with the gray and fire)

another problem with having “sections” on the main page is that some sections will have old stuff. For example,

Health: latest story: H1N1

Promotional Content: latest story: Oorah (and it says tomorrow when it really was two days ago…)

Baruch Dayan Emes, wish it wouldn’t be updated so much…

Now the http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/your-feedback-new-ywn-website thread seems to be working. So please post all your feedback there. Thank you!

I think the comments on the main YW page should look like this:

36. shishlik says: (June 13, 2007 at 3:49 pm)

good luck

and not like this:

36. shishlik says:

I see that this thread was fixed. Hope all these other problems are also very soon.

YW Moderator-80

I can live with it but it’s becoming a real mess. I have to keep zooming in and out as I go from one page to another to keep the font size readable and keep the ends of the pages from getting cut off.

I would consider this way pre-beta and go back until a LOT more work is put into this

The mods don’t get filled in on all the YW news? I thought they were told all the secrets!

The Mods get no respect around here.

Does the CR Main page auto-reload? That would be very good.

Its not just the reply part. Half the page is cut off. You can’t see some of the posts and you can’t reply.

However, I did have this issue even before the CR was updated as well. Hope it gets fixed soon.

I mentioned Kol HaOlam a niumber of times, you should know that Kol HaOlam also has News Report twice a day (2 different reporters), Flash News, Topics of Interest, Aaron Klein Reports (as mentioned elsewhere, Klein will not be repoting on the hotline dor a while as he promotes his new book), Interviews, Helth Section including Mordechai Weinberger, Shiurim including Reb Nochum Bauman, Weather, Zmanim, Music Section, Communit Talk (a replica of the CR but not as good), and more (I think!)

h2; with todays USB computers, it.won’t help to switch the keyboard and mouse wires!

How about turning off the lights 100 times a day?

This was the best one. Whenever we turned off the lights, our teacher would go and turn it back on. Well, one day, a bunch of boys stood around the teachers desk “discussing” things with him. Then someone turned off the light. The teacher tried to get up and turn on the light, but there were too many boys talking to him. Meanwhile, two boys unscrewed the light switch, removed the wires from the switch and then put the switch back. Finally, the teacher got to.the light switch and could not.understand why the light was not going on!!!

By the way, is it Dr. Pepper or Mr. Pepper??

A teacher asks the class a question. No one offers an answer. The teacher says “There are 30 dumb people in here”. One student from the back says, “Your wrong teacher, there are 31 dumb people in here.” The teacher gets angry, and throws the student out.

The student sticks his head into the door, and says, “The teacher was right, there are 30 dumb people in here!”

What about people who use their father’s, son’s, mother’s, daughter’s, husband’s screen name? Can they post twice?

On the Hilarious School Pranks thread, Dovv said:

Peerim.. please visit the “Number of Participants in the CR” thread and take #62!!!

So Peerimsameach answered:

many people use this account. its my yeshivas name… lol we made it during peerim( purim) when we were how u say..a shtikel drunk

So what do we do?

Dovv, I work from 9-4:30 so really at 5 I am free and can browse the web. I come and go frequently from 5 till I leave. I would stay in the CR for most of the time IF the site would be faster, but hey, nothing seems to be happening…

Anyways, goto run… its 9:55 NYC Time!

(Anyone remember the time game!!!)

Good Night!

Well, if you will give your Bar Mitzva bochur a PSP or GameBoy or iPod or Computer or cell-pone with full internet connection, then there is the same problem as with a iPad.

The iPad is basically a iPod Touch with a much bigger screen. And a better (much better) internet connection.

If you want to give your 13 year old male cousin a “toy” where he can see and watch anything that he wants, then go ahead!

Dr. Pepper, I did that to a JEWISH English teacher! Journeys IV (thats Journeys 4 for all those illiterate guys!) and I wrote down “The Band” (I think) and handed it in. I got a A++!

Then I tried a song from one of the older Journeys, but couldn’t get away with it! But I still got a good mark, not like I cared, but either way…

Well, I’m trying to figure out when it is really busy here. I’m usually here from like 4:00-10:00 PM NYC time. And I also pop in during the day, anytime from 9-4 to check up on the latest. And most of the time, I don’t see that much action. I remember when we had the “old” CR, it was sooooooooo much better! Real conversations. I personalty didn’t see anything inappropriate going on.

For Getzel Rubahkin, dial 27#. For Reb Nochum Bauman, dial 26#.
