Tickets to the Asifa at Citi Field and Arthur Ashe Stadium were issued through the Ticketmaster system. So perhaps the Siyum tickets at Metlife were as well.

Also, the fact that they added over 10,000 seats in addition to the normal seating capacity at Metlife, indicates they sold out. Plus all the Police agencies in the Tri-State Area are aware of the massiveness of the event.

I once asked several of the Gedolei Yisroel (in America) about HaRav Falk shlita’s sefer. They said the sefer is the only halachicly comprehensive sefer that is useful for women and girls on a real-life day-to-day basis. And that no Jewish home should be without that Sefer.

    I am not against Halacha.

You’re just againt Halachas you don’t like.

It is not brought up under any source about the halachic ramifications of attending a sporting events or following sports.

    Yes it is.

There’s no such thing as “his non-jewish children”. They’re not halachically considered his.

That’s true. A ger’s natural parents, spouse and children from pre-geirus are also not halachically considered his parents, spouse or children.

Anti-Semitism is a daily occurrence, multiple times a day, in every part of the United States and the world. Even in areas of major Jewish populations, such as New York City.

Sam: That isn’t a misstatement. Even if the reasoning is not correct (and I’m not sure if it isn’t), the conclusion is surely correct. One shouldn’t change from their families mesorah or minhagim.

having shkutzim as children, is an entirely separate problem and betrayal of Hashem, from marrying a shiksa.

I think it goes hand-in-hand. “Marrying” a sheigetz or shiksa (actually the “marriage” has no effect and they aren’t married – so essentially they are cohabiting) means they are doing the act that creates children. So the cohabitation and the having children, seem to me, are the same problem.

If even some women will change as a result of being advised of their breach, it is well worth it.

And some will change, as one woman above herself posted she did when so advised.

If there is a blackout in NY/NJ, the Catskills is included. That being said, you make a good point that if it is sold out the blackout should be lifted everywhere, as there is no purpose for it any more. And this way those who would like to view it, can, as they can no longer purchase a ticket. (And the siyum is not encouraging anyone to stay home by lifting the local blackout.)

The people who make attacks of “The Gedolim aren’t infallible” are plain anti-semites who happen to be Jewish. Some wear yarmulkas and claim to be frum.

The fact is NO ONE EVER claimed or claims the Gedolim are infallible. It is a strawman. They hate the Torah and Judaism but are embarrassed to say so. So instead they attack the Gedolm by effectively saying the Gedolim aren’t infallible, so therefore anytime they don’t like what the Gedolim say they can say the Gedolim are wrong, so they can do whatever they want to do.

It’s the same idea. The nitty gritties might have some unique aspects, but the overall message is certainly the same. And the London Asifa is obviously an outgrowth of the New York Asifa. (Which is where TAG originated.) The idea from the outset was to have additional Asifa’s in the various Jewish communities.

Sam: I take it that you do not use a Shabbos Clock on an air conditioner, per Rav Moshe’s psak? And you hold anyone who argues on that is a Zaken Mamrei or a Mored B’malchus?

(Not that anyone argues on the issur of going to a sports game. Just as a general point.)

Here is a letter written verbatim by Rav Elchonon Wasserman ztl hyd in ~ 1940, describing the tradeoff between a physical danger and a spirtual danger (and about YU):

    ????? ?? ?????? ???? ???? ????? ??? ????? ?? ?????. ??????? ??????? ??????? ????? ??????? ?? ?????? ?”? ?????? (?????? ????? ??????????) ????? ???? ???? ???? ????? ???????? ?????? ?? ?????? ???? ???????? ?? ??????? ???? ?????? ??? ??? ????? ????? ?????? ????? ???????

The Ksav Yad is readily available.

When they are straight out of high school or sem, they ARE Rochel Ameinu. Best time to marry them is then.

As time progresses, and high school sem becomes more of a memory than a lifestyle, they become more distant from the Torah ideals.

Catch them while they are young and full of love of Torah.

Beautiful. Sounds virtually the same as the message given to us by Gedolei Yisroel at the Kinus Klal Yisroel Asifa in New York with Rivivos Alfei Yisroel of over 50,000 men in attendance and tens of thousands more men and women remotely participating live.

What’s the difference whether you classify it as its own disorder/problem or if you classify it as a disorder subset problem of another disorder. Either way it is a massive massive problem in society.
