and it reminded me of a time when a kid was explaining to me how colors work. “Why is purple purple? Coz it likes grapes! Why is yellow yellow? Coz it eats lots of lemons! Why is black black? Coz it eats lots of lollies and doesn’t brush its teeth!”
my nephew was reading a book on shabbos, and he read the word “Dr” as “Dister”. His reasoning was that if “Mr” was “Mister”, then “Dr” must be “Dister”….

Personally, I’d take a CD over flowers any day. (I’d take a CD over pretty much anything, actually.) 🙂
Seriously though, flowers generally don’t cost as much as clothing, jewelry etc. (I hope!) Often my father will just buy my mother flowers for Shabbos because he is in the mood to buy her something, but people generally don’t want to spend money on expensive gifts every second week! Flowers are just a nice, fairly inexpensive way to show someone you care about them.
I used a recipe from the ami – it was amazing! They tasted milchig 🙂

YYBC – I am pretty sure (but don’t quote me) that MBD and Yeedle sing that song together (on a really old tape), so it’s most likely on mostlymusic. Haven’t listened to that tape in years, but I think I remember liking that version

Shopping, since u seem to be the expert on these types of songs, maybe you can help: there’s a song with a really stunning tune I used to know years ago (sounds like it came from a camp or seminary but I have no idea); unfortunately, I forgot half the words! If you know it, could u please post the words? And tell me how I could get it? Thanks 🙂 The words (the few of them that I still remember, at least) go something like this:

smile, the flower/grow theme is really cute! My sister once did a similar m”m; she made a whole candy garden – covered a box with green tissue paper, and stuck in all types of lollies/big lolly pops etc. for flowers, bushes and trees. She made stones out of some candy leading up to a chocolate house which was filled with homemade cookies. She made a stream out of blue licorice. It looked GORGEOUS! Don’t know how much time you want to spend on this though….

go onto mostly music and look at all the artists, I haven’t heard of half of them! Chanale is pretty well known, but being that she’s a woman, her audience is limited 🙂
I know plenty of girls without degrees with great jobs! If college isn’t an option, you could be a childcare worker (like in a kindergarten, playgroup etc.), a bookkeeper (also great if later on in life your husband wants to run his own business), a photographer, something with food – I know someone who first worked as a cook for a company and then started her own catering company, author (not sure if that counts), hairdresser etc. None of those require a degree (except perhaps an author depending on who you ask…..and anyway probably more of a side job). Think about your strengths/talents and hobbies

YYBC – Idk if they had iphones exactly 😉 but I remember learning that (acc to one meforesh) the “tower” was actually a building in which all the great minds from all over the world gathered together with one aim – to run the world without Hashem (through advanced technology) – thereby “overcoming” Hashem. They were able to produce extremely advanced technology such as what we have today. I didnt make this up, I’m just repeating what I learnt 🙂
