zeeskite: i didnt say you were worng for what your opinion but rather HOW your wrote it! it was very very not nicely put.but you are of course entitled to your opinion just be nice about it. i was taken aback by ur words thats all.

i can only speak for myself but ehrn i posted on that page i was aying it in a joking manner. of course there are a lot of positives about some boys! i can honestly say that i have never hadf a bad date and that all the boys that i went out with were very sweet caring individuals but they were not for me. i dont know about any others people who posted but mine was a joke

i agree with you health- both r extremely dangerous!! i was talking abt being very high. i think its easier to treat a low too.

for me i think being very high feels worse. because i get extremely nauseous tired dizzy etc and it lasts way too long. being low is also very bad i get soooo disoriented and i cant think but as soon as i get even a little sugar in my system it starts to fade. not so for high- it takes abt an hour for the insulin to take effect. bith r gross in my opinion!!!

“With such attitudes, any of you engaged? I don’t think boys like to be whipped. Do they? If a boys senses you measuring -DON’T do this, DON’T do that, DO this, DO that, NEVER,NEVER,NEVER..- any reason for him to be interested? “

thats not fair zeeskite- youre taking it out of context. were just saying out of bad dates what bothered us. the way you said that was not nice. not nice at all

can i add 2 things to the list RedNails19?

1 dont take a girl somewhere 3 blocks away from her house! i had a guy take me to a resturant that i couldve walked to and i saw 3 people i know on the way back to the car (which was parked 2 blocks away from my house)

2- dont keep looking at your watch- its insulting, even if its late and ur tired…. uts just plain not nice

i dont eat cholent but i would say measure the amount you want. lets say a cup…. then figure out how much beans/barley is in that portion and see how many carbs is in that amount. ie: if ur portion if 75% beans/barley that would be like 3/4 of a cup combined.. which i would say is like 40ish carbs (i know a full cup of kidney beans is 40 carbs im not sure about barley though….. so thats why i would assume its around 40) then facture in the potatoes….. basically i would say take each ingredient seperatly…. its all a “game” of trail and error…. im sorry i cant be a real help to u!!

i thought so too but i guess there are always exceptions i guess! i just remembered that a few years back i had a camper in day camp with D. her father did too. she must be 12 or 13 now… we were close because we both took care of eachother… i wonder what happened to her!

i use the chi iron every other day. my hair is sooooo dead its crazy. i just started using Pantene’s “damaged to strong” shampoo/conditioner for fine hair. i cant even describe how much better my hair looks!! the only prob i have with it is that it makes my hair a little tangled at the ends sometimes. but i just brush it out in the morning and its good as new =) good luck!

dx3- i also thought it would come off but its pretty secure. i was on the animas and dexcom pumps before this and i have had times when i pulled that off too. but i can hear why this would be more likely to knock off butthe adhesive is very sticky and at times i have to rip it off when i have to change it……. there are always exceptions of course (once it came off when i knocked into the stearing wheel getting into my car lol) ….. but i guess if your very active i understand why you arent so into it…..

but rebb its not the same rejection that u r afraid of. you have no issue with the diabetes itself if YOU didnt have it would you go out with him? its jst being a good future mother because you wanna do wtvr you can to spare you children. not that now its a garuntee that they wont have it but you are elliminating HUGE chances by having 2 parents with D. it is kinda funny but its not the same as ppl saying no to you. =] just keep positive!! your ONE STEP CLOSER to the right one!!!!!!!!

dx3- i have the omnipod which is wireless so its virtually invisible (unless you are looking for it/know its there) the PDM which “talks” to the pod (the thing on my stomach that hold the insulin) looks like a blackberry so no one knows what it is. and it doesnt have to be near the pod unless you are giving a bolus. so it just stayed in my bag.i put it in a drawer on shabbos and use shots for bolusing because i dont like to touch it if its not necissary on shabbos.

which pump are you on? what about your kids?

i love Dr. Wallach. shes really nice and she also knows her stuff but she makes you feel like you know better than she does which to me is very important. yes it is VERY hard to make appointments 9especially cuz i can only go first thing in the morning) so i set up 2 appointments in advance ( i just went last week and now i have appointments through december) otherwise i think i am happy with everything else there

dx3- what about dr. wallach? thats who i use. is the problem with insurance with all of mount sinai or just those doctors? i personally didnt like the Maimonidies group tehy didnt fit with me when i tried them (but that was 5 years ago…) the 1 appointment i had with Dr. Ten was HORRIBLE i would NEVER go back.

i started with Dr. Anhalt who was AMAZING!!!!!! best doc i ever had! but then he moved=(.

out of curiousity. what point did you tell your wife when you were dating about the D? thats something we are all nervous about. i know its a little different for you because you are male but the idea is the same……

health- i agree with you 100% you are very right! thank you for posting this!

allsgr8- i would love to try zumba but i hate public classes i dont like exercising with a ton of people watching… so interesting that swimming affects u so quickly… it takes my levels like 2 hours to go down low after swimming! did u try drinking juice or something before? isnt it funny how the same thing can affect 2 people with the SAME disease in 2 DIFFERENT ways?

i am also in shidduchim and im dressing up and i dont care what people think. (not talking tznius wise….) my entire family dresses up with a theme (my parents included) so i think it shows how close a family we are and that family is important to me!

but if you want it to be easy to take off…. how about a doctor? you wear a doctors lab coat, a stethescope (sorry i dont know how to spell that…) etc and this way you just slip off the lab coat and VIOLA you are dressed like always!

or you could be a chef… wear a white short jacket over clothes and an apron and chefs hat… same idea you can just slip it off….
