cinderellaParticipant
aries is soo right. i think its creepy that he talks abt previous dates. why would u even consider going out with him again?? i dont think s/o like that should be allowed to date. if s/o is depressed, wait till u get over it (however u do that, pills, therapy…) and then continue dating.
cinderellaParticipantquestion for all the brooklyners out there- is s/o who does not live in brooklyn but does live in ny and not in like buffalo or like rochester but like 5 towns considered OOT? cuz i was talking to s/o from brkln and she was like- oh ur such an out of towner and i was like huh??? also it’s annoying when ppl refer to brkln as the city. MANHATTAN is the “city”, people. living in boro park doesnt mean u live in the city. Sorry, it just irks me.
also, funny story- i was with s/o from baltimore (which is def out of town) and we were in starbucks and after she ordered the coffee guy asked her name to write on the cup and she was so horrified and she refused to give her name till i explained to her…
cinderellaParticipantso wait am i not supposed to go to the places that have the little statues? if i’m just sitting there getting my nails done it’s not like i’m doing avoda zara. is it wrong to go???
cinderellaParticipantno they r not getting married. its like out of the question.
cinderellaParticipantmy bother and my friend are both too young to date. but they really like each other and they are starting to become more than just texting friends. i’m not as yeshivish as the rest of my family but i dont have a problem with guys b”h. i think my parents know that my brother isn’t as yeshivish as theyd like him to be but they arent the type to pressure him so i dont know that talking to them will do anything. I mean what r they going to do- take away his phone?? its starting to become a bigger problem because more people are finding out and i dont want to have a bad rep ( i mean my bro and my best friend??? i’m pretty much involved)
cinderellaParticipanti can’t go to a shiva house for this reason. the second i see one of the aveilim i just start crying and then i feel guilty cuz like what right do i have to cry? its prob irrational but what can i do??
cinderellaParticipantworkinonit- when u said that u do brave things and don’t get the reaction u want then it’s because what ur doing isnt really u. people get weirded out when a normally shy girl all of the sudden does something outrageous. u just have to be urself. and u also have to know who u really are. I used to hear that alot and i was like- what does that even mean, know who i am??- but it’s really true. People appreciate the real you, not someone who u think u wanna be. and when u get comfortable with how u r, u’ll appreciate u too.
cinderellaParticipanti dont think anyone really knows what a harry is. its like one of those words people say with such assurance that u just go “yeah, i know right???”
cinderellaParticipanthey im new too
im starting to become addicted
is that weird???
cinderellaParticipanttry a coconut and caramel coolatta
yum
cinderellaParticipanti have a phobia of bedbugs so i did a lot of research
if u think u have bedbugs place a bowl of water under each leg of ur bed and if there are little floating bugs in the morning in the bowl- congrats u have visitors (shudder)
also when in hotels keep ur suitcases zipped at all times and check the beds b4 u go to sleep
when u get home from a hotel wash everything in hot water
(i feel very crawly and itchy right now)
cinderellaParticipantaries- Gombos???
cinderellaParticipantmark levin- maybe they arent visible to the naked eye like the bugs in strawberries and broccoli
cinderellaParticipanti think its an admirable thing if someone wants to take it upon themselves only to eat heimishe hechsheirim. I just want to point out that people have to get their priorities straight bec i was in a grocery store and a lady came in fuming and yelling because in her delivery there were herrs potato chips instead of leibers. she embarrassed the store owner and made a huge chillul hashem.
What was she thinking???? her priorities are a tad mixed up

Hacham-“Movies and TV are full of pritzus, violence, shmutz, immorality, promotion of bad behavior, toeiva, and much much worse.”
i dont think u can make such a blanket statement.
